Very helpful app for stargazing                 I love this app

Works better then more expensive apps                 Sky

Its the best Ive seen in terms of the ease of use and the clarity of the display but it would be nice if reference lines were added the ecliptic celestial equator right ascension and declination Otherwise I love it              Could Use Reference Lines

The only reason it doesnt get 5 starsit doesnt bother to mental that the compass for the map 2nd4th grade is based on stellar coordinates Otherwise spectacular              Excellent app

My screen just turns red and it becomes unresponsive Closed out the app and it still doesnt work 0 stars Horrible     Turns red and stops working

Doesnt seem to work very good on the new iPhone with the latest iOS I cant select objects by tapping in the screen anymore        Cant select objects

I like sky safari and often use it to locate stars and planets before going outside with my telescope But sky safari 4 doesnt seem to work as good as sky safari 3 on my ipad It has trouble figuring out which way the ipad is facing Right now Im facing southeast but the app says Im facing north After a few minutes it corrects itself but sky safari 3 found the right direction in seconds I notice sf4 took off the gyroscope feature Maybe thats why it gets confused sometimes              Sky Safari 4

I think for entry level viewinggreat Two features that would make it more interesting1 ability to zoom in on Messier nebulas 2find current locations of planets and do a 10 power zoom in on them too              Star Gazer

Im writing in response to the reviews that the compass does not work When I installed SkySafari 4 I noted that the compass is turned off by default Touch the compass icon on the tool bar at the bottom of the app to turn on the compass This must be done each time the app is started Once turned on the compass works fine If the developers have some reason for not making the compass on by default then a setting should be available so that the user can choose to have the compass on when starting the app                 Compass works fine

Excellent night sky app and it has red light capability too Extremely useful in the field and handy for planning future observing sessions I have SS4 and it does almost everything I need for observing in both clear inclement weather Well worth the cost                 AWESOME

No I do not want to buy the more expensive version Stop sending me notifications for it You charge enough making us pay for upgrades that other software gives for free     Constant upgrade spam

I have this and the pro version I also had the plus before iOS7 Get one of these The pro is kind of overkill as in more information that you could possibly ever use so youd probably be happy with this or the plus version                 Great

Ive had this app on each of my iPhones and it still works great On my iPhone 6 it took a little time to get all of the settings to what I wanted but once it was there it works great again I especially like the eclipse simulation feature and the ability to zoom in to chosen planets and stars                 Takes time to fine tune

I know that the pricier versions of the app let you do all sorts of cool things with your scopes but as an app for the phone I will use both this and a Star Walk 2 and I find myself going for a Star Walk 2 by default Im a pretty ignorant person Maybe the stuff I like isnt necessary for most astronomy buffs But the look and feel and simple things like the ecliptic make a difference for me One thing that this app does far better than Star Walk 2 though adjusting your timedate settings So much easier with this app              Does some stuff better than Star Walk 2

I have learned so much and still feel like an amateur I recommend this app for all who love the creation                 Overwhelmed

The only reason Im not rating it at five stars is because there is still room for improvement One thing that really love and appreciate is the announcements of special astronomy events coming up I was able to enjoy watching Mars and Venus merge not only on here but also outside              Thoroughly enjoying it

Of all the sky viewing apps Ive tried this does the best job of helping me find objects in the night sky The super blood moon animation was a great touch                 My favorite so far

I have the apps Star Chart and Distant Suns Neither of them have been able to help me locate Lovejoy This program does that Im very pleased and it is easy to use Im thinking about upgrading so that I can define the angle of view for my binoculars                 Best app for comet tracking

This new update it crashes on my iPad mini now it will not open thanks a lot And I paid for this     Crashes

Compass is not work please fix it                 Great App

This app worked flawlessly when I purchased it 2 years ago Now after last update when I hold phone to the sky it doesnt show me current sky as I move my phone and point at different areas of the sky Its as if the gyro andcompass have been disabled and I cant seem to get it to work no matter how I tinker with the settings Currently using an iPhone 6 with iOS 84 Please fix since     Would have given it 5 stars before update
