UPDATE Sleipnir Browser v4 5 8 the View menu s page text ZOOM RESIZE options are all STILL unavailable greyed out macOS Sierra 10 12 4 However they are working in the Black Edition of Sleipnir Unfortunately this makes this Mac App Store edition of Sleipnir Browser pretty much unusable for us for most of our day to day work and browsing Otherwise currently we would be using Sleipnir almost exclusively Due to the the lack of zoom in this Mac App Store edition we must rely on the Black Edition However because it s usually necessary for us to often run two seperate independent web browser applications at the same time for many different various purposes we must often turn to a different web browser Although we CAN and do run the Sleipnir Black Edition and this Mac App Store edition of Sleipnir Browser at the same time the lack of zoom in this Mac App Store version keeps us from taking full advantage of this functionality Otherwise we might usually just run only Sleipnir Browser and Sleipnir Black Edition together instead of having to turn to other web broswers Pros Originated and pioneered many features now found in other browsers Unique efficient user interface Speed Generally efficient use of RAM memory Pretty good at handling many open tabs and preserving them when the browser is quit and relauched Working with many many open tabs and restoring them between sessions we currently prefer Sleipnir to other browsers Running the Mac App Store edition of Sleipnir Browser and Sleipnir Black Edition at the same time easily enables using two seperate instances of Sleipnir Cons Lack of View Zoom in this Mac App Store edition of Sleipnir Browser Very oddly and disconcertingly Sleipnir sometimes individually prompts to download lots and lots of fonts with Japanese names while trying to access some American English language commercial business web pages including bankofamerica com for example whereas other browsers don t do that for those same sites WHY Often crashes when toggling JavaScript off Manual entry of URLs and Command click opening links produces context sensitive inconsistent and sometimes unpredictable behavior even between the two editions of the same version of the browser and options controlling these behaviors are also inconsistent Control clicking on links to access the browser s contextual menu doesn t provide all the usual expected options such as open in new tab etc Attempting to click drag and drop URLs from the URL field results in inconsistent behavior including sometimes not even being possible It isn t possible to optionally have the full current URL displayed somewhere all the time which is actually necessary helpful for security verification and often for specific page URL comparison orientation and navigation Doesn t preserve individual tab back and or forward page history between sessions which some other web browsers do and which puts Sleipnir at a disadvantage after a crash or necessary closure and relaunch of an unfinished browsing session Impossible to display more than one web page at a time within the browser application making direct visual comparison and cross referencing and visual monitoring of background pages impossible within the browser application by itself alone WAS Updated YEA Sleipnir one of the most innovative web browsers The Wolf is loose Yeah And Sleipnir is ridable again It s no longer constantly crashing into the Finder The off store black version has been updated too Sweet By Wotan s beard if you re looking for an ordinary pedestrian browser this it not it This here is Sleipnir Our patience with and faith in this highly original and innovative web browser developer are justified Thank you thank you thank you PS There s a bit of oddness with page formatting when turning JavaScript on and off PPS On a historical note fyi other comtemporary browser gesture interfaces and some traditional holo interface gestures actually originated with Sleipnir         View menu with Zoom options STILL broken use the Black Edition Time Squire-in-Training

My second try with Sleipnir I used it for almost a year back a bit unfortunately I didn t learn anything or I would not have tried again In short the browser is really one of the worst I have used makes Safari seem good Amazingly system heavy I use a MacBook Pro and Sleipnir brings it to a near complete stop draining resources at a stunning rate The navigation is touchy at best Oh and the page crashes The gestures illustrated by the forced tutorial resemble some type of digital finger painting without the paint or colors The gestures actually made me laugh out loud No browser has done that before I ended up cursing Sleipnir actually more than other terrible browser I have tried Yep someone needs to put this puppy to Sleip     like my old dog when I was a kid somebody put this browser to Sleip prufrock88

The ideal browser for all the research intencive browsing I do I does use allot of ram but with 16 gigs on my 13inch 2015 Mac Book Pro it is ideal to debate reaserch expeshally if it were to work as it s supposed to Unfortianitly the book mark all open tabs function isn t working for me which is a huge pain Please fix I could not find any way to contact you other than through here so if you respond I can give you 5 stars Thanks for the innovation I expeshally love being able to swipe between tabs by flicking left I can t do that on any other browser f         Great but with bugs Theodor Gideon

I use this browser now and then but I feel it requires the option of adding a pop up blocker I had a pop up come up within the hour and saying that I had Malware and to call the phone number posted It also prevending me from the tab that it came up on I eventually got rid of it by using the Froce Quit Applications that is part of Apple Software I am using system 10 11 5 in case you are interested That is all I can say for now otherwise Sleipnir is pretty lean and operates rather quickly However again the concern here is the pop up situation which could be a little tricky and maybe dangerous to your well being             Sleipnir 4 5 2 zenfinoly

I like the browser It works well and integrates multitouch technology with magic mouse or magic track pad It is sleek and trim in appearance letting you do what you went online to do The one issue I have been running into is that it crashes after being left idle If I get called away or am working on something else for a few minutes and then come back to it when I click on the first thing in the browser to do it crashes and a report pops up asking to restart or cancel                 Good features but Arqaiq

I m really enjoying the browsing experience so far I have found no flaws with the speed and I love the minimal easy to follow layout and design My one complaint is that it does not support WebGL and as a 3D graphics hobbyist I use a lot of online tools that require it I will be continuing to use Sleipnir for most of my browsing purposes and switching to Chrome when I need WebGL but I eagerly await the support in future updates Keep up the good work friends                 Promising MostlyMatthew

It looks nice but to be honest the interface is so busy trying to keep everything out the way that a lot of controls just take longer to get too I find the gestures highly annoying I often find I accidently activate one closing or reloading tabs I think you should look at Roccat Browser not on app store which I find to be a much better implementation of a modern browser plus it is way faster I can see potential though so keep up the work         A start YeahhhhBoiiii

I have already made this my default browser I still us the other browsers from time to time But like previous Reviews Download the black version it has a few more bells to it There is also a syncing feature called pass just as good as the other browsers for cloud backup of your bookmarks so you can go from computer to computer and even different OS s on different computers and have the updated bookmarks and such This is well worth it                     Best Browser I ve ever used metermac

I absolutely encourage the developers to continue fixing bugs I prefer the layout of this browser to that of chrome safari and firefox This browser also loads faster than those ones I like the bookmarks layout as well There are a few issues that I should mention First in gmail I cannot scroll using a trackpad The scrolling does not stop when I stop and I end up at the bottom of the page Second I have my dock on the left side of my screen When I use the quick bookmark button the box that appears goes outside of the browser window and ends up behind my dock This is a problem because I m unable to click on the folder where I d like my bookmark to go Third the use of a two finger sideswipe to switch between tabs very good idea by the way only works in the left direction If I do a two finger sideswipe to the right nothing happens Other than these relatively minor problems I m a fan                 On the right track DBooj
