We ve written to these folks several times We downloaded and tried this app through Amazon FireTV a few days ago and would like to cancel immediately and MOST definitely during your 7 day evaluation period i e within the next 3 4 hours Despite our repeated attempts to do this SN Digital has made cancelling difficult and we re becoming a bit concerned No matter how often we ve tried over the last two days we cannot successfully get your login tool to recognize the password we have correctly entered many many times SN Digital might want to consider fixing that issue to help minimize frustration I refuse to believe your app has been designed to disallow successful logins in order to force people into a financial debt with you Instead I choose to believe you are merely incompetent instead In any case please CANCEL my free subscription immediately If you cannot locate how to do this either at least e mail me a phone number where I can converse with someone who can We have received NO reponse Avoid The Smithsonian please they engage in less than ethical subscription practices     Unable to disconnect from this company s free subscription service Bored Cutter

Though the app might be acceptable for some uses it does not meet the need for which I downloaded it to watch full length episodes of current programs playing on the Smithsonian Channel live and On Demand When I am traveling on business or for pleasure I want to have the ability to watch Smithsonian Channel SC shows live as well as On Demand just as I currently am able to do via apps produced by many other non premium network apps e g TBS History FXNow TCM ABC Family NatGeo ESPN all major broadcast networks ABC CBS NBC FOX etc Though the site does have a very small number of full length videos especially when compared with other providers networks that I would consider to be peers or at least very similar the vast majority of the videos that can be seen via the SC app are typically 30 seconds up to around three minutes long This does not come close to meeting my needs and expectations especially when I am traveling and when compared to what I am used to with comparable networks apps none of the SC apps come close to stacking up In this day and age when it is so very simple for a content provider like the SC to stream hours upon hours of video to users who pay for the TV channel via their cable or satellite provider it baffles me as to why the SC refuses to honor its customers requests I think I would be more understanding if it were a cutting edge issue with lots of unknowns for the SC but that is not at least should not be an issue especially in light of the fact that so many of the SC s peers competitors have been meeting customers needs and wants in this regard for quite some time The SC has some really great content and it needs to improve its app to match the premium content it produces     VERY Disappointing Teebron

I have found this app to be very useful while visiting several of the Smithsonian museums Since I am in DC for a conference my time for sightseeing is limited and this app has helped me to make the most of the time I have at the museums                     Great for visitors C2C72

The app is great if you want to have all the basic information for all of the Smithsonian museums But you do have to download a large amount mostly high resolution pictures in order for the app to open It offers hours fees exhibitions available all in general terms All the info can be found on the web in more detail This is a good app to have if you ve never been to DC are standing on the mall think Hm what should we go see Let s see what the museums offer After the download it works well is easy to navigate all with those beautiful pictures you downloaded             Basic App with Huge Download Required 2CleanOrNot2

I had trouble completing the full download I was able to determine that is was the active VPN on my phone that was preventing the complete download While the app manufacturer had stated that the VPN was dormant while on wireless it must not have been the case Once I turned that app off the full download of this app and two other apps was able to happen successfully             Download problem solved czackwaltz

Well done The daily events and GPS location on the mall and in DC is very helpful The floor plans seem to be lacking detail I can see all of the services clearly but if the map was interactive and would bring up the exhibit description and gallery artifacts with photos that would be really great GPS location on the museum floors would be excellent too In essence you could get a self guided tour touching the gallery you were in and learning about it A 360 view would be a great enhancement to the gallery detail                 A great Smithsonian app TickerDC

I downloaded this app to use on a weekend visit to the Smithsonian The plan was to visit several museums all in the same day and we wanted to be able to map out our trip Unfortunately the locator function never worked with this app And trying to switch out between the museums caused the app to freeze and required me to restart my phone The maps inside the museum are clear enough that this app wasn t worth the effort of the constant restarts The app is free but not really worth the download time             Great idea poor execution Tehawesomersace
