I love the social detective curriculum so I downloaded the app but I am very disappointed My client answered all of the questions in about 10 minutes Not worth the money whatsoever I wouldn t pay 5 99 for this let alone 24 Wish I could get my money back     Very disappointed FL therapist

This app is extremely dated The video clips look old and the children featured in the clips could stand to be more diverse I work with primarily African American students so I find it troubling that the only person of color featured in the initial segment 16 video clips of the app is an African American tween male engaged in arguably the most overt unexpected behavior of all the children featured in the video clips within that segment Perhaps I m being too sensitive but it strikes me as a subtle perpetuation of racial stereotypes Besides that it is definitely way overpriced for the quality of the app due to poor video and audio quality perhaps the book is a better investment         Needs Updating Keen Speech

Send this to Soc Detective App review I have used the Social Detective App with several students ages 7 11 with mixed minority status It was presented in a 1 1 setting and small groups 2 4 students I also demonstrated it to 5 behavior specialists who have been working with me for several years I reviewed the App with 4 parents who found it to be a good review and practice of the contents taught from the book Interestingly enough the adult learners found it to be too long and repetitive The students did not appear to have any issues with the length of the lessons and remained engaged for an expected length of time Also staff were concerned that more minority children tended to be the ones doing unexpected behaviors in the scenarios The students did not notice anything about minority children in the lessons when asked to predict who might do something unexpected Initially I had some difficulty with navigating the program especially when I wanted to go back and repeat a section Needless to say the students were often more skilled at navigating the program when left to their control The App provided real life situations that were relevant to the student s daily activities It generated a lot of conversation and discussion not only with the instructor but more often with peers in the group I would recommend this App to other practitioners Regards Gwen Caggiano SLP             SLP Gmcaggi

I bought this app for my son based on the reviews and recommendations from my son s school It was very pricey but in my mind it had to be fantastic right Wrong My 6 year old son who is not a good reader finished the whole thing right away There are no extra challenges or levels unless you want to pay more I have spent less than 25 the price of this app on workbooks that have worked better and have downloaded free apps that were more challenging This would be nice nice not great for a counselor or a teacher But for a stay at home mom Not worth the money         Not Worth the Money Sencion Mom
