What a great app Useful simple and clean user interface experience This makes it so much easier to keep track of not only social events but especially important safety training seminars you can often miss especially in big metro airports like ours that has literally a dozen airports                 Amazing Useful App

While a great idea this App is very buggy shuts down and I have removed it rom my iPad I waited a month to retry this App and it is actually worse than before It now shuts down my whole iPad     Very Buggy

I have given this app lots of chances but it continues to disappoint me It loads slowly does not list known events in my area and has no way of discriminating events The screen is cluttered when it loads I am finally deleting this app and will rely on much more accurate and useful webbased event lists     I Give Up

Dont know where its getting its info but theres nothing listed in the entire state of Colorado for the next 7 months Yet there are a number of FAA safety meetings among others that have already been posted to the FAA website Next issue do not like the fact that I have to select organizations that I want to view Got thru the Fs and quit Rethink the user interface and it might be useful     nothing for 250 miles

I used SocialFlight before and loved the event info but the new POI info adds a whole new dimension The new look is beautiful much more polished A musthave for all pilots and aviation enthusiasts                 Well done makeover

I read about this app in a magazine so I thought I would try it Too bad it doesnt work It just sits there on the update screen Total waste of time     Worthless

It has been a while but after quickly reviewing the app again I am immediately at home again among aviation friends What a great tool                 Just tried the latest version and I love it

Needs improvement Many buttons dont work can only be viewed in portrait mode not landscape links from emails dont work Great idea but lacking basic features        Clumsy

Social flight opened an entirely new world of adventures for me this past summer With a new classic in my hangar I was ready to seek out the nearest flyin so I could enjoy the company of likeminded flyers smell the freshly cut grass coffee and breakfast on the grill SocialFlight is my go to app for aviation events Ive enjoyed webinars on safety maintenance and avionics that I would not have known about without SocialFlight I look forward each week to the notice about events in my local area For future planning you can look as far in advance as you like however I prefer the 60 day calendar for planning You can customize the application and find the events that are most suitable to you and your airplane The airport information includes current and forecast weather NOTAMS communications hours of operation location services nearby attractions and much much more As you can tell I LOVE THIS APP This is an app that I use frequently and have come to depend on when it comes to filling my aviation social calendar                 SocialFlight is my go to flying events app

This app has changed the way I fly and where I fly There are many items a general aircraft pilot needs along with GPS navigation and SF is right up there Thank you SocialFlight for giving us more reasons to fly                 Reasons to fly

App is pointless with no user content Will need mass adoption to be successful No events with 400 miles of me UI is hard to use           Good app but

A very good concept but at present this app suffers several drawbacks deeming it appropriate for the trash bin SLOW Until this is resolved its not even worth opening SCREEN ORIENTATION On iPad it runs only in portrait mode which is frustrating Fail Limited SEARCH the screen gets cluttered with the same symbol for all types events Sorting through it is a mess given the limited search and sorting functionality Exacerbated by slow response time The other user who thinks the filtering capability is so great must either have A LOT of patience and time on his hands or be affiliated with developer Until the issues are resolved dont waste your time with this app     High hopes but fails

For a first try not bad but at least half if not 75 of the fly ins pancake breakfasts and other events were missing in Virginia and NC I figured with time more users would sign up and add events It may happen and I may not know When I updated the app it wiped out my user Id and password when I entered it nada I tried a few combinations no joy I put in for a forgotten password and have not heard back My guess is I forgot my user ID and someone else is getting an email with their info So I figured Id create a new used ID No joy their either It wont let me use my same email address Whats the deal with needing this info to just look at events I can see using it to allow events to be added In short not there yet           Almost but not quite

The app simply does not work I can search fine on my laptop Do the same search on the app and it does not return the events in my area     Doesnt work

I have used this app since it first came out Since then it has been improving ever since and it will keep improving as time goes on I have no complaints When I talk to people at my airport and tell them about this amazing app I am growing the aviation community dramatically Now even people without any aviation experience can go to these events and grow the community I love this app                 I love this app

This is an awesome free app Why there are any negative reviews makes no sense Its fast and has tons of features Met the developer at AOPA and they said an even better version is coming soon with more network with other users Gotta love free apps that support aviation                 LOVE IT

When I try to look at an event all I get is a pop up ad that I cant get rid of Im deleting the app it is trash     Buggy

My kids love airplanes Great way to find a weekend destination for them Now we can find out where to eat too                 Great app The new version is even better with places to eat

Nice app quickly identifies nearby events I like the ability to select the timeframe looking 60 days ahead gives me a lot of events but going to this week or weekend narrows it down nicely Weather is a nice touch Have only tried on the iPhone so far but also plan to load on iPad Not sure I understand the negative reviews Its nice there is a feature to add an event but it doesnt require user participation for adding events Keep up the good work                 Great idea

Im a pilot with over 30 years in the software business I am also on the board of the local EAA chapter so I jumped at the chance to use this app to promote our chapter events After using it for a few weeks I have found 1 very easy for a user to display events in a selected area 2 very awkward to enter events For example standard practice when selecting an item from a large pick list is to progressively filter the list based on the first characters entered This app does not allow text entry of common values such as city or state One must scroll down the pick list of states to select and then scroll down a list of every citytown in the state to select Entering Toughkenamon Pennsylvania the location of our chapter events is a very tedious process For multiple events in the same location the entire process must be repeated 3 Numerous bugs and incomplete functions The function to email an event formats an email with a null link Its broken selecting Help or Contact displays some fixed text with no links or helpful information For example Help displays the words Help Content 3 times in a text string with no links Select About Us and you get the words this is a test Come on you guys you started something good Please finish what you started        Great concept unfinished app many bugs

As another reviewer noted app looks and feels like a website App is difficult to use with a lot of nonintuitive buttons The button that should have been included is a location button so that the app automatically updates the users location Also there are no events within 500 miles of my airport which revels a fatal shortcoming of this appit relies on its own users for information     Falls Short of Expectations

Good idea but the app needs work On my iPad 3 iOS 81 it doesnt use my location even though Ive turned on location services for the app Also it shows every private and obscure airport on the map and no way to change that           Ok needs work

While I appreciate the app for its ease of use and ability to clearly display events on a map it would offer improved functionality if we could post events to our social media accounts Its Social Flight after all           Social Media

Simply does not work Screen goes dark and locks up This after giving up your email address and name I deleated the app now hoping I dont get a bunch of junk email     Waste of time
