This sound meter use the iphone integrated microphone to display the sound level in decibel. Features: - Display of the average and peak levels with a bargraph and with a numeric LCD display. Works the iphone 3G and ...
Terrible app Plain and simple It might be free but its a waste of memory in ur device Piece of crap
Boots flashes on the screen and crashes Sound meter doesnt work
Average decibal levels in a quiet room with casual conversation between two people measured 7075db My iPad was approximately three feet away sitting on a table It should have been closer to 4555db Hypersensitive
This app is limited to 100dB and has way to many ads to be useful Not very good
Snapping my fingers maxes this thing out I did get a more respectable 35 in my quiet bedroom thoughIm not sold on it Really
It doesnt work with the head set which is the same thing asbthe iPhone 3gs headphones What about headsets with mic on itouch
For casual use on the 4s not bad This app is always 1015dB high when compared to my studio sound meter 450 No control of weighting or time constant but its a free app Ok free app
Nice idea bad implementation The values are by no means correct I tested with Iphone 4 ambient is mid 50s typing this review is 64db on the Max the peak shows in the mid 80s considering I am not pounding the keys I would say that the numbers graph and common sense all indicate diffrent results Nice app if you dont need any kind of accuracy Nice Idea
Use it with my kids not that accurate Ok
Very inaccurate Not even worth free Weak
Its like the xray vision glasses Waist of time
The app claims that theres 50 db of ambient noise in a quiet room And that tapping on the table is another 40db Horrible
Stoped working and crashes on startup after os update Crashes
Poorly calibrated Should have calibration capability Reads 10db high on iPhone 4s
Program continually crashes at 100db no explanation why Crashes at 100
I know its only using the apple microphone but this is so far off a real reading its almost random
nobody was talking but it said i was in danger take this off itunes
Apparently they didnt test it before releasing it Readings are at least 10db too high Reset max db doesnt work Totally useless Useless
I advise it if one wants an attractive immidiate sond meater It seems to work and seems to give similar results to dbMeter so I am confused with the people who have been having problems Pros Works GREAT display Cons No Graphing No eMail I would have liked a SPEC page discribing the Average and Peak weighting factors DigitalSoundMeter FREE
Nice idea but significantly inaccurate Would recalibrate or remove from App Store DigitalSoundMeter
