Even though I subscribe the app keeps telling me that I need to subscribe In addition literally every other page is now an ad I used to love the app but when they redid it several months ago it has become more frustrating than beneficial I a very disappointed in the direction this app has taken Poor update BlueHen09
I m disappointed in the latest update I don t like the scrolling or the latest from the web section If I want it to look the web I ll go there I want a magazine app to work like turning the pages of a magazine I want to see the issues I currently have access to on one screen in an easy to read grid The new look does none of this It s slow and fuzzy Pleas fix it I won t renew if it stays like this and I don t do paper mags Latest update amygune
This is the first product review I ever wrote for an app The latest update is extremely disappointing The bookmark feature has been removed All the articles I had flagged with bookmarks from previous editions are gone In addition the have begun to charge print edition subscribers for access to digital editions with no warning My impression is that this update is less functional and costs more In addition I wrote to the product help within the app help feature twice and never received a response This app is not worth it Disappointing update Hopping for Stability
I want to save certain recipes in my digital recipe box The only option is to take a screenshot of the recipe why not copy Cannot save individual recipes Sqfromsc
Since various updates I can no longer access or restore issues I have contacted Apple and SL directly with no resolution This has been an issue since September Apple has no issue deducting payment from my account Have canceled my subscription as I am tired of paying for issues I cannot access Cant access issues cant restore issues

Signed in and still cant download issues Ive created new passwords followed all the suggested fixes and still no luck Even deleted the app and tried again I gave this app several months before I tried again and NONE of the issues have been resolved I know this app is free with subscription but why even offer this if it is never going to work Needs work

I love SL but do agree the latest changes are not very efriendly on my iPad mini My other problem is longstanding My Newstand shows all my magazines with their latest Feb editions SL shows the Christmas special edition issue I know you want to sell these special editions and I may be interested but Id like to see the latest issue displayed in the Newstand I have totally switched to emagazines so these things do matter to me Problems

The biggest problem I have with the app is that Southern Living is trying to promote other issues such as House Planning and I should have the ability to remove this unwanted trash from my library I cant and since I pay for the mag I should have the right to remove it PLEASE Like the Mag App no so much
Works really well Intuitive Nice balance of links extras and navigation without cluttering things up For me a nice implementation of a print magazine I enjoy to the iPad platform Great iPad Magazine

I have been using the app for some time now and always enjoyed it until the most recent update Now the pages look like they are just scanned copies of the magazine The fonts are way too small and it is hard to read Please go back to the way things were before The current format is not good Last update was bad
I have had this app for less than 24 hours and I am thinking of never using it again Navigation back and forth from photos to recipes is impossible Even though I have purchased the subscription I cannot print a recipe from a magazine When I try to use the icons on the top and bottom of my iPad they disappear before I have a chance to tap on them For me a total waste of time Waste of time

I subscribe to the paper edition of the magazine which is good because I find the app very cumbersome In fact I rarely even try to use it Disappointing
I like the app but it is not very easy navigating through it Also it only lets you add a section to your favorites by tapping the star it does not allow you to bookmark a page which would be a nice feature Could be more userfriendly
Ill subscribe to the paper version and try getting the free digital version The old paper version can be recycled if the offer is valid and the paper version is far less expensive More for your money in the mail

I just downloaded this app for a digital version of Southern Living magazine After just an hour I got fedup Cant view in landscape version there are ads galore with a paid subscription and its very difficult to find the magazine YOU want to read amongst all the for sale subscriptions Im sorry but this app is far too busy to even like it Very unfunctional

Been a subscriber of iPad version for years New format is terrible Font is too small to read and requires zooming in to make it readable This makes recipes my favorite feature of the magazine hard to read and makes it especially difficult to use while cooking Who wants to touch the iPad screen with dirty hands covered in dough or ground meat while cooking to enlarge the print or move the screen around in order to see different portions of the recipes Please bring back the old format This new format makes the magazine tedious to use and not a joy to read If I could give it 0 stars I would New format ruined magazine
What a horrible app Dont like getting caught in a login loop when trying to download the recent issue App should know from my login that Im a subscriber but keeps asking me to login Thank goodness I still get the print This app is a waste Horrible App

I did not find app is user friendly I wasted a year Subscription and then without authorization they renewed it iTunes referred Me to Southern living and Southern living said they Could do nothing The whole thing is a Joke Horrible customer service From SLiving Never again for me If you like Southern living buy the magazine Do not waste time with digital app There is no Customer service if you have problem Southern Living lost me as a reader Buyer beware you will regret it Horrible
