I downloaded this app because the books have such a great reputation so I thought what the heck I was a bit skeptical at first about trying to learn a language from an app but this was a very pleasant surprise The audio is great to hear how words should be pronounced and the exercises are nothing like the verb conjugation hell I recall my high school language classes being Also the interface is quite smart and somehow manages to be very straightforward and easy to use without looking too vanilla and boring Looks good works even better
The GUI has some major design flaws Its another one of those take a book and dump it into an app apps Its great that it has a voice recording feature but its difficult to know when the recording begins and ends design flaw Also the instructions are bold and easy to read but the actual content you need to work with has a clumsy visual design that is irritating at best Easeofuse is trammelled by a textured background small text and again a booklike interface that doesnt mesh with the best iPhone design I didnt get all that far cause I couldnt stand it and I definitely wouldnt pay for more content Could have been a contender but
