Spellwood - Word Game Adventure

I enjoyed playing this game and going on to different towers I was disappointed that I had to pay to continue into the countryside though And now Im done and there arent any more towers to complete I have a feeling it will cost me when they come out with them They should take a page from the makers of angry birds they update and add levels for free regularly           Fun twist to the word games

Fun but new update wont let you spell a word and count for points fix and Ill give it 5 stars     Update problem

Biggest rip off from such a big company name makes you buy MORE levels they should let you know this before initial purchase does not work properly most of the time Does not even deserve one star After contacting company they are NO HELP and suggest taking it up with apple What a joke will never buy from this company again     Unhappy consumer

Downloaded the update and now I cant spell a word the game freezes on my first turn Update again please    

In app purchases really ruin games especially when I already paid for it Make it free with IAP or include all levels with paid price              Love it but

I shouldnt have to pay AGAIN for more levels when Ive already paid 2 for a small amount of them Based on the levels you get for the price you pay the extra levels really should be included Opponents shouldnt have equipment thats at such a higher level than the player That makes a huge gap between the damage Im able to do and the damage the opponents are able to do Then you get stuck on one level for an awful amount of time with no way to even come close to matching your opponent I would also appreciate push notifications for when its my turn in a duel Update Since the update every game is corrupted and needs to be restarted after one move You enter a word and nothing happens Which means that I cant play the game at all Ugh        DO NOT UPDATE

Really good Its miniscrabble that you can play on your own time I play in between words with friends turns                 Fun and addictive

A lot of fun love the twist on the mi of RPGsword game works well and is fun I hope for more updates                 Awesome

I have no problem paying for games but once is enough This app requires you to not only purchase but buy additional levels Sad bc I really liked the game itself but what a scam There are tons of great affordable word games out there that avoid this nonsense     Paid for game still requires in app purchases

Of all my word games this one is by far my favorite Its challenging and youre not going to win every round Its important to strategize This is an excellent brain exercise                 Funtastic

If you are tired of traditional Scrabble or Words with Friends you might enjoy this word game with an RPG feel I really enjoy the solo game I havent played the versus part of the game but see that it would be a lot of fun While the gameplay would be good even without fun graphics the drawing and animation are very fun and well done Well worth the money I spent                 Scrabble with a RPG Twist

I was really liking this game until I got to Pippa Stilton in the second tower I cannot get past this challenger The difficulty level went from challenging to impossible She is getting extra points with every word where I get deductions with every word I have tried searching for what I may be missing but nothing obvious pops out I will give it a few more tries but will be uninstalling if I cant get past it           Great game but

I paid 099 to play up level countryside and then it said download but I couldnt play Not the first time facing problems VERY FUSTRATING esp since you paid for it     a lot of bugs

I would not see much reason to multiplayer with this It isnt as universal or entertaining as words with friends If you are a heavy duty word game spelling buff this is a decent diversion It just gets tedious after awhile           It is an ok app

Some levels too easy and then WHAM Impossible to beat levels that make you want to delete the program And then you read they want more money for more levels I say NO WAY I expected better than thisFix that and I may fix this review     Poor Planning

I was stoked when I bought this game as its a great mash up of two things I love At first the adventure levels were stupid hard after the tutorial mode They just released an update that said the difficulty in Apprentice mode would be lowered I thought Great I download the new update and now I cant play at all Awesome Theres 2 down the drain        Great idea terrible execution

Very addictive and fun My kids love it I havent experienced the issues others have complained about And those that are complaining about 199 for such a wonderful game should consider the amount of time and enjoyment you gained from playing a game that is so well designed and fun                 Love It

I am so sick of developers being so friggin greedy al the time We have to buy a tower within the game Screw this Plus with the last update I cant even play It says my game is corrupted Im never going to put a dime into your company ever again                 Sick of it

I beat all 4 towers in spellwood and was half way through the frog tower in countryside when I updated the app Now I cant even make a move When I play a word it just sits there When I exit out and I back in to the app it says my game was corrupted and the level starts over with new tiles Everything worked fine for me before the update Please fix        Update corrupts

Spellwood is a great game for the whole family The different hats wands and bags keeps it interesting and challenging throughout all the levels Two things I hope the creators do one make it easier to duel other players it would be nice to duel a random player two add more levels soon Ive completed all the towers and dont want to start over again           Fun for all levels Needs new levels

Like scrabble only with great twists like spelling words backwards for double score health and all sorts of other fun stuff                 So much fun

I love this game Ive finished apprenticeship all the way around Please make more towers avail soon The hardest part is understanding the scoring Thats has been my biggest challenge An FAQ would be helpful It took me forever to find my wand hat and bag Also the even bag is not so even Its also hard for me to put spells on the board too They will not go on there So I havent used a lot of them              OMG I love it

Got stuck on the pippa level then it decided to crash Game froze Deleted reloaded the game crashed again Restarted the iPad crashed a 3rd time 3rd time is not a charm Total waste of my 2 bucks Id give it zero stars if I could     Deleting

This game has the potential to be really great but there are some major bugs that ruin it Really disappointed I expected more from this developer        Wait for an update

The game is great until it asks you to pay for it again After you have already paid for it If youre going to buy it make sure you have friends to play withThat way after you beat the first four towers it doesnt seem like a total waste     Meh

The game has potential but it is too annoying to be worth the cost After youve played once they put colored dots over the screen so you cant play a second time        Too cheap for me

I loved this game and played all the way through the first land Was excited to move on until I found out they charge 99 for the next round after already paying for the game Very disappointing Would only continue to play if they unlock the level for people who already paid for the app        Good game but not worth it

Just when you think you have a good word s it doesnt recognize it as a word such as cone and car for triple score or the word zone Zone is only good if your not laying it on a double space Also the game just stops Opponent thinking and you have to start over This only happens when you are winning Could be a great game Just not quite there yet Sad     Not reliable

Non recognizable words freezing now Im at a part where I cant even take my letters off the board and at one point I had 8 letters on the board A mess     This game is a mess

I dont understand why the opponent gets extra points for every word and I get words subtracted How do you fix it           Dont get it

Im having a lot of fun with this game My daughter and I are having fun playing the duel game but we are having a lot of problems with it freezing up on us Please fix this because its fun              Fun Game

Freezes Doesnt recognize simple 2 and 3 letter words Ive reinstalled several times and its the same issues It COULD be a cute game if bugs were fixed Meanwhile Im out 199     Dont waste your until a HUGE update is made

Love the game in solo but good luck finding friends There is not even a way to invite people to use the app if you cannot find any friends I cant both on Game Center and Facebook I would like to play with people who are not my friends on a social network too at least there might be some people available 5 stars when you fix this              Social Play Totally Broken

The Scrabble portion of Spellwood is fine there are the usual double or tripleletter pieces on the board and special tiles you can use to help give you an edge It does however seem far too coincidental that the AI almost always has the right tiles to create elaborate words even on the easiest difficulty whereas youll end up with nothing but consonants or vowels every now and then I havent had a chance to test it but prior to the update words like June and Jane werent recognized so I sure hope they realize those are valid words especially when the AI plays pronouns and various other questionable words as well That being said the RPG portion of the game is mediocre at best After defeating the boss of each tower youre awarded a piece of equipment First is a cap second wand and third and fourth are a bag Problem is its pointless because the bonuses these give are miniscule compared to the items the AI has equipped The problem then is that unless you pay another 1 to unlock the countryside campaign youre stuck with these 4 pieces of equipment You get exp per opponent defeated but only for the first time you win leaving little incentive to replay past levels It seems you can only duel your friends through GameCenter andor FaceBook but not against random people If thats the case Scrabble and similar clone games would be better because they at least give you a wider range of people to play against Additionally in Spellwoods multiplayer equipment comes into play so people who are further along in the campaign mode as well as having purchased the countryside campaign will have an advantage against those who dont Overall its an okay game but its main highlights seem to just be its cute and cartoony aesthetics and an attempt to incorporate RPGelements Other than that the various Scrabblefocused games are a better experience           Scrabble portion is okay RPG is mediocre

This game cheats on higher levels I entered the word vert The v has a value of 6 The v was also placed on a triple letter score block The remaining letters have a value of 1 The score should have been 21 the game score was 9 It took 2 hours for me to discover what was happening How dumb is that Thought I had found a great word game Latest update did not fix the problem stated above     Problems still exist

The game will not let me advance so Im giving it a low score Fix please or return my Just downloaded the update and the game is all jacked up I still cant play Dont buy until they fix the problems would give it a zero but it wont let me     Stuck

Love it but please please add more levels beyond countryside now there is nothing to do and kinda feels like money wasted              Awesome game
