Spicy Schematics is the 1st tablet-PC schematics capture program and is a revolution in schematic capture. Spicy is fast, intuitive, and allows you to literally draw circuits with your fingers. Earlier versions were admittedly a bit ...
I think this app is stupid You cant even make custom shapes You cant duplicate when you press the button I wasted my money     Horrible
I have been using SPICY for a short time and I am excited about the capabilities of designing and testing logic electronic and electrical circuits I have been working with these types of circuits for nearly 30 yrs and want to make templates for simple electric symbols such as single pole double pole and even triple pole switches and motor symbols for single phase and three phase motors and controllers and logic circuits for PLCs to control and monitor them for RPM temperature and motor load percentage              Spicy
I was just getting to love this app and using the browser version on my iMac when the developers website vanished from the Internet and the app ceased to work since you can no longer login to their server Hope this is a temporary situation but it has been down for several days              Great App BUT
I have now run over 60 simple simulations This was after reviewing the tutorial and two Utube videos I think the tutorial is too simplistic and does not discuss how to placeorient them in order to make them work Once you call for a probe you cannot delete it although you can generate a square wave it is not explained anywhere in the tutorial The tutorial also lacks information on how to use power supplies and what you and cannot do with them I also think the list of components are terrible and should contain a much better list in both local and spicy Also once you run a simulationand it fails the description is in greek and is difficult to use to correct the reason for failure Overall the program is funbut will take a while to get up to speed if havent used it before           Spicy simulator
great app powerful spice models subcircuits no other app like it                 powerful spice simulator
This is a great tool for someone who wants to simulate circuits The user interface is very clever and simple to use Be sure to watch the tutorial on how to draw wires though And you can write and use your own SPICE models I use it all the time I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in circuit design                 Finally SPICE on the iPad
It will take a bit of practice to master the mechanics of creating the circuit but there are plenty of examples in the library and once you get the hang of it all goes smoothly To have a full Spice installation professionally maintained right at your fingertips is just fantastic I also cant say enough good things about the customer service You get responses within hours and often within minutes The help keeps coming as you need it until the problem is resolved The web version is a bit easier for me to use in drawing the circuit than the iPad app but once the bones are in place it is easy to modify the circuit and the simulations on the pad as well as on the web                 Fantastic App
I tried using this on the third generation iPad and it did not function properly It was not possible to move circuit elements because the touches do not register properly This may be related to the high resolution of the retina display but as of right now it is completely unusable I will gladly change this rating if the issue is resolved but advise other iPad 3 users to hold off on this until an update is released     Does not work on new iPad
An iPad sim ought to be intuitive and easy This one is clunky So far its just frustrating and doing things like wiring is far harder than it should be Setting stuff like vdd is not obvious Even registering is clunky I bought it from App Store No further registration should be required Selecting is bogus and hard Hint it only works from top left Moving parts is clunky Its slow to execute a sim There is no way to back out of the file commands if you hit one accidentally You must save or sync Go look at tesla icircuit or similar Granted they supposedly dont have the capability this does but this is so clunky I dont see it being much use except as an exercise in patience For bigger sims I go to my desktop systems I was hoping for something with the ability to import models which this implies it can do But so far I dont have the desire to even try Pay more attention to the ui guys        Try something else
After the latest update spicy shuts down immediately please fix Thank you                 Crashing
There is nothing else on the iPad to provide this powerful type of capability for electronic circuit design Im hoping they will make saves automaticimmediate like other iPad apps This aspect is a bit clunky              Spicy is Awesome
This is a fine frontend to Spice that users will find useful for educational electronics hobbyist use I like the web aspect that allows me to work on a model from my desktop or iPad There is a learning curve to wiring for which the author provides a useful video tutorial I give it four stars since wiring is still a little awkward I think wires should be objectbased individually selectable reroutable and deletable That would complete this app nicely              Well done
Dont buy right now The interface is so bad that it is unrealistic that anything useful can be made with this program Spicy devs go check out iCircuit If you could combine iCircuits interface with Spicys features it would be awesome Also add Monte Carlo Analysis like in PSPICE Good luck and looking forward to an update     I want my money back
Spicy is the only Ap available for doing SPICE calculations in electrical engineering from an iPad As such it has tremendous value for anyone trying to learn EE fundamentals from a platform that takes you from schematic to voltage and current calculations and plots The support is solid Questions are answered within a day in my experience The architect of the Ap is inquisitive forthright and extremely helpful I will reach out to recommend this Ap to all my business acquaintances since I think it has such utility and educational potential                 Think EE on iPad think Spicy
