Spinning Meals

In order for this to work ideally plan to spend quite a bit of setup time entering recipes I did not want to go to that extent so the recipes I entered were URLs or else just a recipe name and cookbook pg number for reference This means I gave up the shopping list convenience although I could have done some minimal ingredient entries if I wanted to use that feature Still it was nice to spin and have the meal planning part done I am extremely impressed with app support and responsiveness to feedback suggestions I find the app useful as it is now and feel like it will continue to improve as time goes on              Helpful planner Requires set up

I purchased 4 pantrygrocerymeal planning apps prior to finding this one and let me just say this is EXACTLY what I was looking for Super intuitive organized and clean Capture recipes several different ways I chose via Web and all I did was type in Giada or Paula or Bon Appetite and loads of awesome recipes came up and automatically loaded the necessary ingredients and directions with a beautiful photo Sooooo Easy Have I mentioned customer service I sent an email concerning how to use certain aspects of the app and had the most courteous detailed response from RYAN in a few hours tops WOW All I can say is this app has literally turned humdrum family meals into the mama cooking show in under a week I have 4 boys and a husband to cook for and they are hungry people lol This makes cooking and shopping for them a snap THANK YOU SPINNING MEALS My husband and boys thank you too lol Amanda                 Absolutely Fantastic

The initial list of recipes is way too limited and inputting new recipes is too much of a pain I deleted it which is too bad because it does seem to have promise        Eh Could be a lot better

Ive tried a BUNCH of different meal plans and they never work for our family cuz They are customized to someone elses family Now I never have to worry about getting all the ingredients for crab cakes in my shopping list again I LOVE that my meal planner will now remember that awesome recipe I made once and forgot about I love that I have a place to store all my recipes I love that it alerts me when I need to think about making dinner I love that it gets smarter and smarter as our family adds to it This is the BEST app if you want control over your foods Allergies Special dietary needs Just put in exactly what you want I even started using the early snack to keep track of what we juice for the day Now I have an accurate list of juicing ingredients and can mix up what juicing were doing Want to cleanse your gall bladder often or sometimes Now I can put those juice blend recipes into my rotation an know were getting all we want from our juicing without even thinking about it Love love LOVE                 Perfect

Love this app Just wish it had more categories for the shopping list It would also be nice if you could sync it with another user My husband and I shop together We wish he could load the list on his phone and could mark items off as Were shopping It would also be good if the planned recipes stayed up for the week Sometimes I dont get to cook the planned meal and cant remember all of the meals I plan              Great app

I bought this thinking it had loads of recipes but I understand now that its usefulness depends wholly on user input Looks good if you are willing to put the time in to add the recipes           Update

Bought the app to make a fat burning meal plan App has no provision to do this even though it states it does Now I cant get it off my phone or get my money back     Does not let you do a 5 meal plan

Recipes are easy and quick and good I get tired of having the same stuff every week This gives me ideas to get out of our rut                 Great

Id been looking for something to take the frustration out of menu planning and shopping I would give 5 stars but Im still figuring out what all it can do              Very good menu app

Helps a ton with meal planning It can import recipes from websites let you edit them for your familys tastes and then plans your meals on the calendar for you Touch the shopping cart and there is the grocery list It does everything except buy the food and cook itand sync with other devices so I could cook from the iPad and take my phone shopping Overall I love it and still give 5 stars                 Great app

Its a good idea the app works well and I love that you can capture recipes off the internet The builtin shopping list is nice This would be a more useful app for me if users had the option to customize For instance instead of always sometimes just once I would like to plan meals for different days of the week For instance Sunday is when I plan nice sit down meals Friday is when I plan meatless meals Tues and Thurs we have activities so thats when I plan quick fix or slowcooker meals So yeah I know I can go back and manually add them in those days but Id rather just give it a spin and let the app add them for me I did get this app in an attempt to make meal planning take less time after all It would also would like to be able to customize the recipe categories Sometimes Im not necessarily looking for a poultry or beef recipe but a casserole or slowcooker recipe              Its pretty good but could use a little tweaking

There is no search feature Also there is no vegetarian or healthy eating options Hard to use and frustrating Great concept bad execution        Wasted money

I love this app The only thing I would add is a way to mark weekend meals and weekday meals As a working mom of 5 there are day I dont have much time and need a fast meal On weekends I have more time and cook a more complicated meal              Love It

Such a great app No more of the same old meals week after week No more forgetting about that recipe you keep meaning to try Who has time to plan meals for the week Thats no longer a problem And the developer Ryan is pretty awesome as well I had some problems with the app initially and left a bad review but Ryan contacted me within 24 hours was incredibly solicitous and professional and we worked out the kinks with a simple spring cleaning and a reboot Great guy great app Thanks                 Fantastic App Total time saver

This app has really helped out meal managing for my family Its helpful to be able to changeedit one meal if needed It is a little time consuming to add the recipes unless it can dump directly from a website such a nice feature Sometimes I just add recipes as I make them or just add the name of the recipe use my cookbook go back add the ingredients instructions later So no big deal Thanks                 So Very Helpful

I understand being able to pull in your own recipes but it would be nice to have a larger choice to choose from as well Perhaps when someone adds a new one there can be a share button I bought the app hoping it would give me more IDEAS for meals not an incomplete one that makes you build it yourself You are the experts you should be adding new recipes everyday to keep people interested        Needs more work for the 3 charge

This is exactly what I was looking for to help me meal plan I get stuck in a rut and do the same meals over and over Or I think of a recipe but cant recall which book or magazine it was in And then waste time trying to find it Problem solved when everything is in one place Yes entering all my recipes is time consuming but its so worth it when I can have everything from old family recipes to different mixes and sauces to the glutenfree recipes I have to have for my husband all in one place I love that I can add notes to each recipe so I can remember what I need to do differently next time I love that I can take a picture so I can enter the recipe that way versus having to type everything out And I love that I can dictate on my phone what the recipe is and save a ton of time Im in the middle of decluttering my house and by being able to enter each of my recipes from all my old magazines that means that I can get rid of those and free up space in my home This app is SO worth the money Its easy and organized so I can plan every meal easily and have more time to play with my two little guys Oh and I cant say enough good things about the developers From what Ive seen they REALLY want to know what it is that the customer wants and are quick to reply and let you know if that is in the works or not I had a reply within a couple hours So if you have a problem or have ideas for improvements for the app please write them they want to know                 Love love LOVE this app

I often have trouble being focused with what I buy what to make etc Ive wanted an app like this for a long time It works great for importing recipes that I find online and creating a meal plan and list for me An answer to my prayers                 Finally An app that helps me plan and shop for meals

Living overseas I dont have my favorite cookbooks at hand This great app lets me store my recipes Finding new recipes on line is easy through the app and it will capture the recipes You can assign a category season of the year or add it to a meal plan The shopping list is never left at home it is in the app in your hand Love it                 Got food

This app is a must have for me It plans your dinners and gives you a shopping list I can put my favorite recipes in and put new ones in too I set up how frequently I want the meal planned and if it will be planned year round or only during specific seasons Best app ever                 Lifesaver

This app is not useful at all I want to see more photos and look through different meal ideas quickly This app is limited and is lacking in many ways It is not worth 3     Disappointing

Im still learning this app but its been great so far Its easy to edit and add recipes from the web I wish it could add recipes from the wildtree website but cutting and pasting isnt too bad I like how you can organize by recipe time seasonality and how often your family likes to have a particular dish              Great so far

This is a very useful app The app is worth the 3 I spent because I always overbuy and throw food away Not with this app I know exactly what I am cooking and what I need I used to use a complicated Excel spreadsheet that had many rows and lines for a shopping list Now I have one less thing on my todo list The amount of time spent in the store has decreased which is especially helpful if you have children in tow Highly recommended                 Very useful app

I have been looking for an app to help me organize all of my recipes and plan our meals every week and I have finally found it I used to have recipes all over the place on Pinterest in my email my recipe box cookbooks etc Now theyre in one place along with my auto generated grocery list Yay I no longer stand in the kitchen every night starving and scratching my head Its certainly not perfect but I just dont think the technology is there yet Sometimes when Im trying to capture recipes from the web I run into some errors but overall this app has been a life changer                 Gettin igityorganized

I love being able to save recipes from the Internet into this planner It takes a little time before I have tons of recipes in here but it will be fantastic once I do                 Easy to use

This app is helping me stay organized and plan dinners better I gave it 4 stars only because sometimes I type in a url to capture a recipe and the app crashes or it doesnt capture it and the ingredient and direction script is blank It only happens on certain sites Other than that I love it              Functional and helpful

To the reviewer who complained they are not using all of the features of this app and the features they are using they are using wrong This is a great app 1I havent noticed the font being too small but if youre using a smart phone its not any smaller than any other font 2 Theres a place to change how many days and how many meals youd like per day 3 You can actually choose your own meals for each day individually You can also spin for some days while assigning others And if you respin but only have a few recipes it wont find any other recipe choices so of course it will give you the same recipe every time You have to adjust the settings for your preference 4 The suggested recipes are generic but you can add recipes from a data base of very reputable websites and even chose to only see a certain rating for the recipes ieonly 4 star or above 5 I will say that I tend to be more tech savvy than some so if apps frequently confuse you this may not be the app for you But if youre willing to put in a little time in the beginning this app ends up being very efficient and easyquick to use I love that you can assign recipes You can add your own recipes from scratch and even put in something as generic as leftovers or sandwiches very handy when doing practical meal planning for every meal for every week You can also import your own favorite recipes from various websites and it will screen shot for the recipe Not always fool proof but still a very nice feature Otherwise copy and pasting the missing details is very quick to complete the recipe                 Rebuttal to WHAT A JOKE review

As a nutrition student I find this app to be extremely helpful Having a random meal plan generated each week leaves me more time to find nutritious recipes and my meal plans are never the same or boring I love being able to categorize meals by season and not having to write down every ingredient I need for a recipe since its automatically added to the shopping list The customer service is phenomenal and the app is constantly being improved I recommend this app its such a time saver                 Amazing App

I do like the app but I cant seem to change the meals wo going online and down loading a receipt But I do like the shopping list option given           Ok

This app is saving my sanity and making actual weekly meal planning a reality While this planning and shopping task used to take hours and it was incredibly daunting to keep track of recipes and shopping lists this keeps absolutely everything together Also once you set up your preferences and favorite recipes there is no reason that you cant have a weekly meal plan recipes and an organized shopping list created for you within seconds I noticed that several users have complained that there are not enough choices You can actually add any recipe in the world So your choices are unlimited Im not sure what the complaints are about The app comes with a few builtin recipes mainly to show you how it can be used once you start adding your own but it is also incredibly easy to add recipes of your own choosing and without doing a bunch of typing on your phone I was completely WOWed by the ease of adding my own recipes even from indie food blogs My sister regularly shares favorite recipes from websites with me and it only takes a couple minutes for me to add the new recipe to my meal ideas This is something that I always used to be completely disorganized at and I would lose track of recipes Now Im actually pretty excited to hit up grocery stores and Ive got a plan It feels great                 Best App Evah

I would give this Zero stars if I could the app does not allow the user to change categories on recipes for example tag a recipe as both breakfast and dinner while looking at a recipe You have do this in the Meals area which is confusing I dont want to change a Meal I want to change 1 recipe Im looking at I want to view meals by Meal breakfast lunch dinner but the app lists only by food beef rice this isnt how I plan meals Frequencies are vague I cant set a meal to 1ce a week or 1ce every 2 months only often sometimes rarely etc Id like specific not vague frequency options Recipe frequency cannot be set without going to the Meals area theres no contingency plan in this app for back up adding in your own meals is risky Coming soon This may be useful for some and the Dev has been very responsive to try to educate me but I continue to find this app extremely unintuitive frustrating and limiting in the many ways it requires the user to accommodate it rather than providing contextfriendly options that suit userdriven workflow Not recommended     Unintuitive highly disappointing

I am very happy with this app I have been looking for a long time for a way to organize my recipes and an easy way to plan meals for my familythis app keeps my familys menu fresh so we are not eating the same thing over and over again and I dont have to think about it I just use the spin option and it puts it in there for me Its also really nice you can add recipes from a Url which is where I get most of my recipes anyways And I love that it makes a shopping list so I can make sure I have everything for the week for cooking But the thing I am most impressed with is the customer service I emailed them with 2 suggestions custom useradded categories and spin from category and they emailed me back within 2 hours letting me know these improvements were in the works Its so nice to know your voice is being heard So happy with my purchase Would definitely recommend                 Love it Yay
