I am very happy that I chose Sportys for my PPL ground school I found the volumes of lessons to be clear well thought out and enjoyable The two primary presenters Rob Reider and Richard Collins really inspired me I completed the volumes of training videos various tests and really utilized the test prep section The flashcard and learning mode REALLY helped when it came to preparing for the test mode I cannot stress utilizing this part of the program enough After successfully completing the Test Mode twice I received my FAA Knowledge Test endorsement within a couple of minutes via email I feel very confident in going to the testing center soon to take my exam Thank you to the fine staff at Sportys Gained a great deal of knowledge and an endorsement
Amazing app will help me so much in the future This is a must get app if you are going into the aviation industry Great app
This is an introductory app that allows you to see the fine work that was done to put this app together but its not free it costs 250 Not free
I am currently learning how to fly and this is an amazing app to have that will help me get my license However it should be much more accessible by allowing people to buy segments in chunks instead of the entire package all at once Many people just wont have that kind of money to drop in one shot The developers would make a lot more money if they sell chapters a la cart and of course the whole package as a discount Great but

Videos were decent but you will still need to read a thick aviation textbook to be a safe pilot Test prep questions were good but use of the charts and diagrams on an iPhoneiPad screen simply does not work You cant place a plotter on your screen to figure out course headings Not even close to being worth the 200 There are far better places to spend your money on flight training Not worth 200

Im constantly studying while Im traveling away from wifi so the offline storage option has worked great for me until they all disappeared from me after my study session last night Now I have to wait a week to finish the video course Extremely frustrating All downloaded videos gone
This a great app My only complaint is that I keep getting all of the videos erased after I download them for offline viewing Please get this fixed as it is getting real frustrating when I go to study and they all have to be downloaded again Otherwise I am very pleased with the format and content of the app Lost all offline
App was working great on both pad and phone Now it just crashes on my phone I was wanting to study without carrying my pad but now cant Not happy It WAS good
I have bought the Cessna King Schools Jeppesen training packages and now the Sportys app for any of my iDevices From all of this material I gained more from the Sportys curriculum than any other Sure there are minor drawbacks on chart size on the screen Plastic plotters and a little patience solve everything I like challenges like that Keep up the good work Sportys Give me time Ill own them all The 200 drop in the bucket
The current version of this app is great Only it is missing the login availability to login using a Young Eagle login This might not be a problem to many but it is to some If you could add this feature this would be the only app I would use on my phone Young Eagles

This was my primary ground school app for my Part 61 training The format fit well with my busy schedule The built in Study Buddy and practice tests matched what I experienced on the real exam with minor numerical variations When time and money are concerned you want to pass the test on the first attempt and this course did that for me Whats more I will be able to continue to review in prep for my check ride and oral exam when the time comes Passed my written on first try
First of all please note that as others have mentioned only the intro lessons are free the rest costs 250 I bit the bullet and wow totally worth it Im studying for my VFR certificate and it really helps to see it in a video format rather than just textbooks Im also reading the Jeppeson series It is very professionally shot edited and the animations are great Only complaints are the rather cheezy music and somewhat dated like late 80s sort of look and feel But really I cant complain the material is there is clear and the speakers are obviously professionals And because the segments are short couple of minutes each they are really perfect for bite sized lessons without getting bored Superb Wonderful

As a technical trainer of 10 years and someone who works on development of IT Computer based training and an aspiring pilot I must say this is a top notch product The presentation style of the primary trainer is excellent and the 3d animations are really well done I think that this product is an excellent value and Im very pleased with it Fantastic product

A bit pricey with a 200 price tag but i went from zero knowledge to passing my private pilot written exam just one week after starting this course I saved around 1000 by using this course and if I ever need to review any information its all here on my ipad so i can watch it anytime I would definitely recommend it to any aspiring pilot It has lots of information and they make you pass two practice tests scoring at least an 80 passing score on actual exam is 70 before they will endorse you for your actual test Mr
Cant believe they feel the need for the cheesy time wasting intro music and splash page with each new lesson Get rid of it Or at least give the option to get rid of it This is an app not a video right Like the App Hate the time wasting intro music
