This used to be one of my favorite apps I used to look up at the sky throughout the day just to see what was out there However now this same app has been taken an incredibly HORRIBLE turn for the worse when u turn on this app I m confronted by STUPID ads that take up a part or all of the page I don t open a star app to see the wonders of Amazon or Google I want to see the constellations the moon the sun and the planets Delete these ads or I ll use an ad free star app and tell everyone I know how you guys turned a fantastic app into a pile of soggy garbage that serves to overpower people with ads Very disappointed in this app it used to be one of my favorites     What a disappointment klausc1491

One of the poorest opening experiences with an app ever Right when one starts there is a FULL SCREEN ad from Google That s not pleasant at all and destroys any illusion of seeing the night sky and good feelings towards a new app Then when one taps on the Settings icon which opens up an info screen we re led into a labyrinth It explains there is an icon that turns off the compass mode and another that gives Earth view However when one returns to the view of the sky there are NO icons Hence there is no way of turning off the compass mode and no way of doing anything else Yet while the sky moves around wildly there is another ad from Google that remains fixed in the upper left hand part of the sky That s off putting too Compounding the interface disaster the night sky is transparent showing the status bar in the background in the sky Truly bizarre and the only astro app I have or know of that behaves this way and I have scores of them Oh well Maybe if the developers go back to the drawing board and realizes that first impressions matter a lot and that ads have no place in an astronomy app especially not when they appear as banners in the night sky or take over the whole display they could create a viable astro app Come on guys and gals whet our appetites with a free light version without ads then make your money off of the pro version The current approach is just tawdry Of course NOT having controls on the screen that are supposed to be there just compounds the problems I really hate to be so blunt as I know how much effort goes into programming but an opening that leads users into confusion is not smart or good design and users being frank can prove helpful in guiding new versions Update I decided to quit and reopen the app one more time to see if there was something I missed This time the entire screen was not only taken over by a Google ad but it was an audio one too with loud volume Sorry but being blunt is necessary Fix this Or are you just being quick and dirty shills for Google     Dismaying Don t waste your on this Google ads everywhere AstroPaul
