Other than illegible classifieds I liked reading the paper on my iPadNow after this update it doesnt workand forget Star Telegram customer service its terribletry and go to ST eedition website doesnt work     Drprm1

Have to signin every time you open it No way to change or keep me signed in option Does not connect with links in the articlesstories     Worst user experience

I actually love this app when it works About every 2 or 3 weeks you get an edition that doesnt download so you cant tap and zoom into a story When I contact customer support they just tell me to delete the app and download again This has been happening ever since I started using the app about 4 months Fix this bug and I will gladly rate it 5 stars           Please fix the bugs

I was enjoying having the Star Telegram on my iPad until they updated Now it wont let me log in Ill switch to the Dallas Morning News If it aint broke dont break it     Update screwup

This had been a 5 star app now not so much There was a recent update for the eEdition Might explain this bad behavior on my iPad2 wanted to copy a bit of text so held finger contact with screen to make selection function appear hopefully showing cutcopypaste instead the screen suddenly jumped to an unformatted version of the articlewith no navigational elements anywhere Only function available was finger swiping to reveal new articles but there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to their order and no way to retun to normal presentation Must now delete the app and reinstall in order to read it as intendeda ROYAL pain This is now my 4th install as it seems to be gaining sensitivity to jump to this unnavigable screen Please fix     Bug not a feature

Dont understand the complaints Technically this is excellent yes you have to pinchzoom to read some content but what do people expect when the paper version is 3 times the size I found you can reduce a lot of this moving around by selecting the zoom in format as if you were going to email and then page down to the next segment and move through the paper this way                 Excellent

Worked fine until this sunday and now will not let me access with username and password Support is terrible        Wont let me access anymore

Was skeptical about this app with the indiffrent reviews but after downloading i really enjoy this app and the great content filters and back issues that are available Anyone that has ever read anything digitally will realize that this experience is comparable to the best ones out there              Good

The IPad app is a great addition to the browser version of the StarTelegram Both are user friendly and easy to navigate You can pinch and expand the IPad app version to make it readable                 IPad app is a great addition

So as a lifetime I truly mean since birth subscriber to the telegram I have to say since I live 1200 miles away in Ohio dont judge me I depend on the app to read Randy Galloway and Gil and Big macs blog but for the last month I have had to deal without it as the app prevents me from logging in and wants me to subscribe again and Im too darn stubborn to pay twice Im having read Collishaws articles from now on even though going east of 360 is against my religion Maybe randy will email me his articles Help Aaron from Arlington     East of 360 just aint the same

The update New authentication provider for Sign In functionality for current eEdition subscribers is a user experience fail Ive been an iPad subscriber since it first became available and never had to sign in Now with this latest update I have to sign in every time with a userpass Exceedingly annoying Some twit who doesnt actually use the app made this decision Im strongly considering cancelling my subscription StarTelegram Believe it or not we can get our news from other sources UPDATE Feb 21 2013 I ended up getting ahold of Press and the gentleman who I spoke with removed the signin layer Validated it is gone Increased my rating from 2 to 4 as a result              Another genius fixing what isnt broken

I have had my subscription for three months and just cancelled it from renewing today This is the second day in a row that the paper is unreadable It will load the paper as a single pdf that when zoomed cant be read This has happened every now and then but never two days in a row Once is ridiculuous since I paid for every paper to be delivered readable It is not like I can call StarTelegram and request a redelivery Another reason why the StarTelegram is going out of business They are not embracing the future of media nor are they ensuring their new media endeavors work properly I will now subscribe to a national paper that offers better service or maybe the Dallas Morning News I will now get my local news solely from the internet     Poorly managed

Paid for subscription and it worked well then renewed for another month and am now locked out even though the next month is already paid for THIS IS A BAD APP     Locked out

Since the update the app has logged me out and wont let me back in but believe me they are still charging me     Log out

Does anyone else have to login over and over to read the Star Telegram I have the iPad app and have to login two to eight times before I finish reading the ST This is ridiculous Someone needs to fix this bad app     Multiple logins

Was great until they fixed it on 31 Oct 2012 Now I cannot logon and the Support link brings you to a page Not Found Paid 75 for a 1 year subscription in August and now I cant use it     Not So Good Anymore

I enjoy reading the paper and this app provides a paper complete with turning pages My only complaint is it frequently crashes closed after turning only a few pages This has increased in frequency since OS7 Developers need to fix the bugs A welcomed addition would be the ability to email articles As it is now I have to exit the app and find the article on the e edition           Good when it doesnt crash

You have to pay even if youre a print subscriber which wouldnt be as annoying if it was worth anything Doesnt fit iPad screen blurred type if you pinch it out to fit Basically a photo copy of paper     Dont waste your money

I have been waiting for the FWST to release an eedition I love the layout of traditional papers and so far this works flawlessly Easy navigation and not clunky like some of the other news apps with endless clicking through links                 Finally A ST eedition

Apparently you can claim wonderful new features when you block subscribers access to your new version Can you say REFUND     New Definition of Upgrade

I was very reluctant to try this because of the terrible reviews I signed up for a one month subscription and so far it has worked great I love this app It is so much more convenient than the print edition and I have been a subscriber for years The only thing that is missing is the coupon section of the Sunday edition              Works great for me

papers arrive about same time as paper delivery or later it should be released long time before regular paper delivery NO WAY IN APP TO SEND TO SUPPORT several past issues wont load and lockup app app slow to load apparently u have to pay extra for this e edition and the pc edition as I cant access the pc edition missing past issues     needs lot of work

This is the absolute worst programmed nonfunctioning app there is The paper does not download until 630AM after I have left for work The downloads are unstable where the pages will shift to other pages Plus the articles will be two days behind other publications Canceling today Star Telegram should stay with print only     Piece of shjunk

The app works great when it works However the app can get stuck displaying old editions I have to delete it and reinstall to get the current edition to display Some of the settings like enable sign out dont seem to have any functionality           Needs some work

This is exactly what you would read in paper print only extremely user friendly and more accessible Prior additions left out local ads and obits etc This EAddition is perfect in every way Easy to link articles to friends cut and paste and it gives you a history to peruse as well BEST APP Well done                 Better than a Paper Newspaper

I had a subscription to the paper version and it went unread because I was consuming news online mostly Thought this app would be the way to go NOT Honestlythey would be better off scrapping this and going to a version similar to the New York times or Los Angeles Times where they dont try to mimic the physical paper and just have a solid attractive smoothly operating app     They should rethink this app

The concept is great execution is greatly lacking I have had to reboot the app many times as it locks up after zooming in to read an article When it is working correctly it is very easy to scroll to next page section or article Please make this work as it is difficult as is        Inconsistent

Tried to give benefit of doubt by going to App Support before posting but App Support site doesnt work either App freezes the first time you zoom on an article then after rebooting freezes randomly Tired of rebooting just to read evershrinking StarTelegram     Duh

I now prefer this over the real thing intuitive controls and hyperlinks make it easy to read and share articles                 Great way to get my paper every morning

I saw all the negative reviews but decided to download the app anyway since I received a note from the paper letting me know that I have the digital version available along with my print subscription not sure how long its been available I was able to login without issue and read todays paper Having said this if you already have a digital subscription to other magazines and papers you will find that this app is comparatively mediocre It almost feels like youre reading a PDF version of the print No optimization for digital at allnothingno links no auto sizing to the screen of the iPad Hopefully this is just a first pass and they will improve           Works for me
