I have loaded several gift cards without any problems Love this app as I dont have to worry about losing my cards anymore                 My run to place to get away from everything else

App menu loads like on a 144k dial up connection Went through drive thru and order was wrong went in and waited another 15 minuteswhat happened to Steak n Shake     Not good

Gives a list of locations but doesnt allow a search based on your current location The purpose of looking for a location is to find one that your not aware of when you want one     Worthless when trying to find a location

I understand why SnS wants an app but without instant rewards coupons etc whats the purpose except to tell locations I can get that from my GPS        Its okay but barely

What a ripoff Have to scan a creditdebit card to use or buy a gift card and pay in advance Tried to pay cash but no credit for my purchase Worst reward program I ever saw Spend 50 and get a free soft drink WOW     customer

The APP is a separate company from Steak n Shake     Glitchy APP Poor Customer Service

The receipt has no square to scan only a bar code The bar code wont scan so you cant use the app to pay or redeem rewards so its useless     No square to scan

Please take a look at Dunkin Donuts app and take notes I just loaded 20 and had a 299 reward for a free milk shake My total bill was 2028 but when I scanned the app the cashier said I owed a penny Please tell me how that happens And the manager there was clueless and couldnt help Please fix the app     App makes no sense

Took to long to order so we called Went to drive through to pick up order Nope you have to go inside to pick up call in order What     Drive thru

Its an ok app I havent used it a lot but from what I have used it for it has worked better than I expected           Its ok

Love the rewards                 So much better

This has made my daily iced tea fix so much easier No more digging for change Its just a swipe of my app and off to work I go                 Love it

We enjoy Steak Shake and go often so this afternoon I downloaded the app when my husband nudged me after seeing a sign on our table advertising it I dutifully registered and loaded up money from my debit card onto with no issue The problem is when you select pay it brings up a big block code with no other explanation I tried scanning the receipt out server left us under Scan nothing happened and as I write this I still dont know what thats for So I go to the register and while Im waiting my turn 3rd in line was hoping to avoid a line by downloading the app I see a handwritten sign with the statement Reward is down sorry for inconvenience What I just put money on my card based on an advertisement on my table and all of the others in the restaurant Im not paying double for a simple lunch The cashier was able to tell me to scan the big block code from my phone under the Pay selection but said that wasnt always working Now Im really unhappy nevermind the line thats huffing and puffing their irritation behind me In the end I was able to use my phone but anyone thinking of downloading this make sure your staff is knowledgeable and the Rewards system is working before using it     Poorly Trained Staff App Execution

Would be great if it worked everywhere if you knew ahead of time     Not used at all locations

The best thing about it is the savings 5 for every 50 spent But the rest of the app is kind of nutty Why does it claim that Ive spent 0 when I was the one who had to load funds from my credit card When you look at the amount saved tab the app makes it look as though youve saved the entire amount of your bill just because you paid from the app UhmnoIve paid the exact same amount by using the app that I would have spent if I had used my credit card instead The savings is from the 5 bonus nothing more Then too I was excited for the launch of this app and would love to save time by ordering through the app instead of sitting at a drivethru Another well known burger franchise has pulled this off successfully the one with 5 male entrepreneurs and I was hoping that Steak n Shake would follow in their footsteps And having downloaded the app I think SnS is on its way However right now it unfortunately lacks the functionality to make it a truly useful or even viable ordering method namely this no option to request heavy or lite condiments on your burger no option to add unique toppings So if you want extra cheese or you want to add a condiment that your burger doesnt typically come with fried onions anyone then youre basically out of luck Beyond that why is it so difficult for fast food restaurants to present a nutritional guide that breaks down the sandwich BY COMPONENT rather than the entire sandwich First of all the nutritional guide is useless to anyone who adds or subtracts a single topping on their burger Secondly some of your customers are on low carb diets or dairy free diets etc and it doesnt do those patrons a lot of good to view uniform nutritional info that includes the carb count for a bun they wont be eating Again this proposed concept has already been done and done well by another American fast food restaurant thatdespite its claims of royal lineagedefinitely prepares burgers with far worse quality than Steak n Shake If THAT mediocre franchise can manage to do it theres no reason why a superior franchise like Steak n Shake cant do the same Hey the app is still a move in the right direction overall Steak n Shake has great burgers and if they added these simple features to their ordering options and created a nutritional guide that could be modified then this instantly becomes a 5 star app Until then I cant use it but Ill keep checking back and hoping for the upgrades that will make this my fast food go to app              Not bad but could be great with tweaks

Unable to use funds from Apple pay to place an order online     Terrible App

The app has worked well in the past but recently when adding the tip aint and pressing done the screen stays scrolled down so the qr code stays off screen Theres no way to scroll back up so theres no way to scan the code So theres no way to use the app or get rewards Needs fixing        Needs Bug Fixing

App essentially requires use of creditdebit card to get rewards You can add funds from a gift card to your accountbut good luck figuring out how to use it Downloaded the app in the restaurant loaded gift card funds but couldnt figure out how to pay No direction or how to provided in the app Server didnt know Manager didnt know Searched FAQ with no answers Went to SS site with no answers Called app support and they closed at 3 pm Called SS customer line and guess what She didnt know anything about how to use the app Was able to tell me when I purchased the gift card and that I had no balance remaining really I just told her that I had transferred the balance Was unable to assist but offered to take a message for the support team to contact me at a later time not really helpful when trying to pay the bill for the food we just ate Finally different manager at the site freed up and instantly knew how to use it and yes it is the simplest thing in the world You have to go to the register and they scan your phone Guess Im behind the times on knowing how to use this without some explanation Probably not terrible app but terrible support and education Need to provide simple steps on how to use on their in store signing as well as getting started with the app        Unsatisfactory app

Steak and shake is one of the few restaurants that my family all enjoys so I was excited to be able to earn rewards Unfortunately the locations in my area dont currently participate     Disappointed

It was a quick sign upwas able to save 3 at the register Since our family goes there quite often I definitely appreciate you saving 10                 Very Easy to Use Save 299 Instantly

The first time I used it asked cashier how to do it so I wouldnt mess it up Bill was 1336 Got the 299 reward which takes it down to 1037 She charged me 802 at the register later to find out that I was also charged on my credit card the 1037 So I ended up paying 1839 total by the end of it Thanks for the fing rewards     Terrible

I tried to tip 2 twice for10 total bills It went down as 10 tips Twice Awful Now I must get refunds Never again Deleting app     Terrible app

If this app allowed you to load coupons onto it then it would be perfect Im sure it has to do with the terrible POS system SnS has because one receipt for an entire table is 3 decades behind This app allows for quick pay along with tip which is fantastic especially because you dont have to sign This saves 2030 seconds from a checkout perspective              Fast Easy no coupons

Nice to see the rewards program set up Great late night place to eat after a movie Do not like having to reload a digital gift card If the app is linked to a credit card there is no reason for the reload Dont see where this can be moved to passbook        Nice idea but it has some flaws

This app is a great idea for rewards but you have to preload money into the app to pay That isnt horrible but the fact that the minimum to load is 25 makes it useless when the bill is only 10 and you dont go frequentlythey keep your money until you come back Dumb idea Why the 25 minimum or having to load anything in to the app at all        Too much for so little

I put money on this app and now I cannot use it Even the manager could not get it to work     DO NOT USE THIS APP

Its works well enough I load money on it and it has saved me more then once upon realizing I forgot my wallet but there isnt a whole lot of use or guidance Im not sure how I claim my 5 rewards or if theyre auto loaded onto my app and since Ive mentioned it 50 spent for 5 Not a very good reward Overall worth it especially if you forget things like your wallet a lot           Okay

Downloaded the app to get free milkshake when I paid they over charged us you cant charge it back because you transferred the money to their system They wont answer my inquiries about the over charge     Buyer Beware

1 Not available for use in all SS 2 No flexibility to add funds Can only add in preset 25 increments 3 No NFC support 4 POS at store sometimes fails to wake up and read scan code necessitating redo of scan which takes more time than swiping creditdebit card 5 Tip add requires separate calculation prior to adding it to app when paying 6 Truly a real PoS for a POS system Who developed this Soviet Era coders that have no concept of using anything but Rubles to pay for anything        Horrible App

I love this app Yes you tie a debitcredit card to it You can also migrate gift cards into it We are Steak n Shake regulars a couple times a week and have gotten over 20 in rewards so far Im not sure why others dont love it but I enjoy getting rewards for something I already do and money I already spend                 Love it

Need to change wording on pay page to enter tip here not add tip before scanning very confusing verbiage that caused a headache and a call to customer care     Very confusing

It would be nice if the receipt had a QR code so you dont have to wait for someone to come to the register        Receipt QR

The whole point of using a POS app is to load funds and pay from the app Profile is fully created New GC and you have a network error adding the balance FIX IT     Network error adding gift card balance

I set the app up while in line saved 399 and paid with a bar code linked to my Visa Worked great for us Update this is the best fastfood for the lack of a better class for SnS app I have used                 Great app

The majority of the time you cant migrate gift cards More problems than it is worth     Poor Performance

I updated and tried to transfer a gift card I received to it and get a error message about an incorrect rewards account     Cant transfer gift card now

I was actually kind of excited about the app Ive always liked the food and shakes The problem is that I have gone to my local SnS about three or four times in about two months and havent been able to use the app Why Because the scanners are broken The servers say that managers know and managers say corporate knows Deleting it and not looking back     Broken scanners
