Stud Find

I was skeptical but it works Keep in mind it detects METAL not wood so if you have wood studs like I do you have to have some patience to find the nails or screws used in the studs Take your phone out of the case and slide it slowly along the wall Youll need to go up and down and side to side until you see the needle move Turn your sound on and it will ping when it finds a suspected stud You can wrap it in cling wrap to protect it from scratches as you run it along the wall I found the stud within 30 seconds then went straight up and down from that spot finding other nails A quick test with a screw confirmed I had indeed hit a stud FYI when marking the wall I just marked where the center of the iPhone was Not sure if thats the most accurate but it seemed to work Im using an iPhone 5s if it matters                 Works great

I was completely ready to finish a closet project and of course cant find my stud finder So before running to the store to buy one I googled apps And look what I found I read all of the reviews downloaded it and it really truly works I finished the closet project in no time Awesome                 Awesome

Ok surprised this worked so well It sees studs and shows me 60 on its scale at the center but if you go up or down until you hit a screw it shows 100 Find where it drops off about 1 on the left and on the right then the middle is where you should drill                 Wow

Yeah this app detects metal but I you have wood studs and have to find a nail itll take you much less time if you just go buy a stud finder for 8 bucks And you wont be scraping your phone against the wall like an idiot     Dont waste your time

Maybe if your walls have metal studs it might work Mine dont and I couldnt get it to work at all     Not worth the download time

As an iPhone 5c owner this worked wonders I was very skeptical but figured it was free anyway so no harm done It really works and very well Found both studs I needed in under 3 minutes I would recommend this to anyone                 Worked perfectly

So I needed to find studs to mount my TV on the wall but didnt know how I was going to do it without a stud finder So my girlfriend tells me that theres an app for that Im thinking she is full of it Low and behold there actually is an app for that I was skeptical So I tried it and not only did it work but it was spot on It truly is amazing what one can do with an iPhone                 It actually works

Do read the instructions first It is designed to find the metal screws in your studs Hold the right side of the phone against the wall to scan Turns red and makes noise when stud is found Worked great for me Then used the built in compass app for the level                 Works as designed

It clearly says you must have magnetic screws or nails in the stud for this to work Worked for me              Read the instructions

I would defiantly recommend this app to others We were mounting a TV and needed to find studs in the wall It took us a few tries but after reading the instructions we did it We even confirmed it with an actual finder Right on the dot                 Worked Amazingly

I read all the negative and positive reviews prior to downloading the app and it worked for me If your walls dont have magnetic nails it will not work I have a nail that can be seen threw the wall and I scanned over it and it picked it up The app works great                 It works

Studs are usually 16 inches apart and an outlet will be attached to right or left of a stud scan phone over target area to find nails in studs                 amazing

I just used this to hang some storage shelving I read the other reviews and found the screw inside the stud I also took my phone out of the case as suggested in another review It took several scans across the wall at different heights but I found the stud Then I scanned either straight up or down from the screw to find the next screw in that same stud and drilled my hole right along that line I also scanned both left and right to see when the meter began to drop down from 100 100 being max level of metal detection That gave me a good idea of where the middle of the stud was You can maybe pencil a verticals line to connect the dots between top and bottom screws if you want to make sure youre staying on the stud Again rememberthe app detects metal not wood so youre finding the screw inside the stud Bottom line it worked and I can return the unopened 25 stud finder I purchased at Home Depot                 Finds screw IN the studnot the wood but totally works

First this app is free Second I found a stud This app works great with a little critical thinking You should use a metallicmagnetic screw first to see exactly where your phones sensor is My iPhone 6plus has its sensor directly underneath the front camera Once youve done that just use a pencil to lightly mark where you found screws in the wall The stud is where those screws line up                 Solid app
