I honestly really like this app I do But I would like to see some changes and improvements made For one thing you can t File Share with iTunes and save your recordings to your laptop except over a WiFi connection For the people that want to save their recordings to their laptop without using WiFi you could make it capable to File Share your recordings with iTunes Also the save formats Right now the save format is caf I would like to see them being able to be saved in wav aiff and so forth I could also suggest where the time shows near the bottom you could make that a pretty red to give it the feel of a real tape recorder I also would strongly suggest the customization of the tapes I would suggest removing the side lettering in the right side of the tape On a recording where the A is I thought maybe you could make it so you can tap the A and select a color off a drop down chart of a rainbow of colors to select the color of the tape Maybe even change the font for the tape notes to standard Times New Roman And yes I will have to agree with someone else adding a rewind speed in either direction This would help getting to a certain point in the tape if you want to record insert Other than that nice sound recorder Will be looking for updates with my suggestions                     Nice Black Magic5683

For short term listening back work this app is great But for effective long term archiving not gonna happen till it s FTP interface is much improved A lot went wrong when I tried to download And while you re at it can t it use a more widely supported sound format than CAF All these shortcomings strip this app of it s usefulness but not all so I could give it two stars but not mote         FTP interface needs a world of improvement KPPhoenix

I am a police crash investigator and use this to tape interviews Now I always have a tape recorder with me It picks up the interviews real good and clear transfers to another computer with no problem to save with the file Plays loud and clear on QuickTime for transcribing Highly recommend                     Good recorder MCAT592

First to answer someone else s question as far as i know the iTouch doesnt have a built in mic So this app wouldnt really work for it Overall this is a great app Brilliant use of the iPhone s capabilities and the interface makes it seem like a legit cassette dock and funcionality is near flawless Works well across classrooms Great for AP or college level classes would highly recommend for calculus courses Only had one problem with it Apparently you cant record more on the end of a tape that has a recording already on it It could use a patch but besides that great app                 Useful but some flaws T Bama

I loaded version 1 2 on my iPod Touch 16Gb 2nd gen and it won t record any audio won t rewind won t play If it worked and degrades the audio quality as some of the reviews report for realism then it won t be what I want to use     Useless Ember's Grandfather

first of all this is a great idea BUT 1 Say you record a little bit on a tape and want to record more to it later or better yet edit something you already recorded you can t when you press record again it deletes the entire tape and starts over THIS IS NOT LIKE A TAPE DECK you need the ability to record more material to existing tapes and use the transport to move around the recording s 2 The sound effects could be SO MUCH BETTER Make it sound like a real tape deck also Aside from these 2 flaws the 1st one being the most significant this app is a great concept The graphics are not bad at all     needs work DerekAndes

I love it and want to use it as my only tape app but it s crazy how you can tape over an entire long tape with one click of the record button And for those who say the rewind button works fine I don t see how it just flicks back to the start of the tape the wheels don t even turn And the tape shouldn t slide in from the side tapes load in from the bottom and the numbers should be a cool red not that blue Can t wait for an update                     It looks super cool mrtew

This app is pretty cool in my opinion It is extremely easy to use and quite fun It reminds me of being a kid at my grandparents house they had a tape deck that looked just like this We used to pretend to be newscasters and interview everyone I am enjoying this with my kids now Records great Oh and free tapes Woohoo And these won t unravel or warp Not to mention I will have this on me at all times And I can label all my tapes too Great job on this Thank you I it                     I really like this Purple Peanut

This app is almost perfect As for the complaints Let me clear things up You CAN rewind fast forward and stop where you want Its just a little difficult To the reviewer saying you can t CHECK THE APP BEFORE POSTING FALSE BULLCRAP The recording quality is SUPPOSED to be less than perfect The point of this app is supposed to simulate a TAPE player recorder That s how tapes sound It s bad on purpose If you want a high quality recorder look elsewhere If you want TRUE tape simulation this is it Now for a couple of things to make it an easy 6 5 stars Slow down rewind fast forward speed to get to a specific time easier Add ability to start recording in the middle of a previous recording This will add to the tape s realism Add ability to see where you are in the tape spool Like a visual representation of the digital timer next to the volume gauge Add ability to use both sides of the tape Both A and B Otherwise the A on the tapes are pointless Add directories to sort tapes into The directories could be represented by shelves or drawers The speakers are cool for iPhone users but not for iPod touch 2G users To accomidate for both just remove them Make tapes in deck on tape selection view thinner to make them seem more like the tapes they represent Make tape colors and styles coustomizable                 Near Perfect JamesR624

Please don t judge a book by its cover When I purchased this app I thought I would be able to rewind fast foward exactly to where necessary NOT Instead it takes you all the way back or foward nothing in the middle The recording quality is worse than other free applications out there Thank God all I spent was 99 cents It was worth it just to have the opportunity to warn potential buyers NOT TO BUY IT     DON T WASTE YOUR klegra

Perhaps a revision will be better but I found the control keys hard to see and most importantly for me this application would not let me either append to or edit a previous recording With the cassette in place hitting the recording key would completely erase anything already recorded Also this app isn t yet listed on the developer s website so there may be limited support     Disappointing Let's Be Objective

I just purchased this app and must say I am very pleased with it As a journalist I have used various voice recorders with mixed results This one is simple and straight forward I like being able to access my recordings via my browser I would like to be able to choose different tapes and labels in future versions But this app is easily worth the price Don t let the nostalgic theme of this app discourage you It is very high tech It s just what I ve been looking for                     Very nice Revbeej
