This is the open source version of TaskPaper with no updates since 2013 Buy the other version it s being updated Do not buy jg6464
TaskPaper is a well thought out cleverly executed version of an outliner with some interesting and unique features for the IPad I m unfamiliar with the original Mac program which TaskPaper attempts to sync with being interested instead in a simply stand alone app I think the program occupies a higher and more ambitious niche than simply a ToDo manager I m a collector of outline and mapping programs and TaskPaper is as I see it primarily a powerful outliner and can thus do many many things to aid productivity I especially like such unique things as A a very thorough search function way more powerful than usually encountered with IPad apps and which works on both stored archival files and current projects and B It s ability to GATHER search results into an editable list of like elements rather than bouncing around to sequential hits By the way I was delighted to see how the program can actually search on the new emoji s of the current IOS Thus you can sprinkle these around to add visual cues and later search and gather for them I also like the the way that a project is broken down into natural building blocks called Folders Documents Projects Tasks and Notes I think the last three however would better be named as simply Headings Outlines and Notes All in all a fine program that can assist with many productive tasks A Very Fine Productivity Gem Zignfrew
