The TenMarks app for the iPad is very userfriendly and visually simple It is also accessible on laptopsdesktops Students log on to view their accounts where they can find any assignments with due dates provided by their teachers Also included are Jam Sessions where students can practice skills of their choice This app states that it is Common Core aligned and all materials I have viewed seem to be relevant While students are completing assignments they are offered a video tutorial or a hint to assist them when working It also provides a workspace where students can draw pictures or write out their thinking One part that may lead students to confusion is when they are about to enter their answer in the answer box a menu of all math operation symbols appears which may cause students to assume they are to use one in their answers However it does include a highlighted box that provides the type of answer required Through TenMarks you automatically have access to your specified grade level standards but can also add tracks standards from other grades to support beginner or secure students For example if I am teaching a multiplication unit I can add the Grade 3 Multiplication standard and a Grade 5 Multiplication standard While working students have the option to have the question and answer choices read aloud to them Questions also differ from multiple choice to fill in When students finish they are shown their score and they have an option to go back and rethink their work or to submit to the teacher After students complete and submit assignments their scores along with time spent and skills missed is saved for teacher review After the entire class completes an assignment TenMarks highlights common mistakes with the students who will need extra support or reteaching of a specific skill              Will use in class

I am a student in 7th grade for math we are forced to use this website In my state common core math is required to be taught in all schools funded by the state There are many online teaching websitesapps available to teachers and students alike for math education Of all the numerous options out there i would absolutely not recommend ten marks It turns a simple two step problem into an unreasonable 10 step problem it does not at all help with problem solving skills but rather confuses kids taking a simple concept that can be builded on to over complicating it in a way that doesnt even provide extra skill teachings In the future we will need efficient ways of problem solving to go about our daily lives In the end it is not a wise idea to go with ten marks as a means of good math education instead try researching other available options that will ensure your students or children a promising future math education     Do not download this app

My son who just started first grade was able to use this independently for quality instruction this summer I would definitely recommend it I am a former elementary school teacher and loved seeing my son keep progressing even when school was out                 Great for my 1st Grader

Well Im 9 and I dont like this program for the following reasons 1 most of the stuff it asked I did not learn in school 2 Its not helpful 3 Most of the stuff is either too easy or too hardlike when you round the numbers to the nearest tento easy and the terms used too Hard for get that thhard I dont know how to get rid of it thhard     this program is just plain bad

This app is not worth it delete it glitches to much     This is the worst app

Love math its my favorite subject                 Very educational

Good concept poor execution Two comments 1 Assignments and Tracks are confusing particularly where rewards are concerned Are they the same thing If so just use one term If not make it clear somewhere what that means in terms of number of questions or other definition 2 iPad app crashes and starts throwing error messages and the hard work my child has completed it lost Very frustrating for everyone FWIW I also have the app installed for the other device thats supported begins with a K and ends with an E and it doesnt crash at all        Buggy app

This app has not crashed on me and I have found no problems with it and I can do math much quicker It taught me some things I didnt know and it was an amazing app I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS APP                 WOW

On some questions it displays the loading sign but has the question behind It doesnt allow you to answer the question resulting in incorrect answers often resulting in having to take anamplifier when it is unneeded PLEASE FIX SOON I need to complete for summer assignment        Needs to fix something

First of all the app crashes alot This doesnt save the progress that I was doing and its so annoying to turn the app back on again The problems are too easy for my sons grade level The easy problems doesnt have any affect on my child I would not go for tenmarks     Not good

As a math educator this app is worse than doing nothing Summer slide is real but having your students use this is only going to make them dislike math The approach is very oldschool Its like a workbook in an app The video tutorials are of low quality and do not teach conceptually If you are looking for boring meaningless problems for your kid to solve go for it By the way this doesnt even align to standards        Low level thinking

I am a sixth grade student and I love the app The scratch paper feature was perfect I eagerly await further updates                 Extremely good

This website has lots of issues First of all I did all my assignments that were listed However the website obiviously failed and said on the teachers report that I didnt do not one but TWO assignments Most of the students in class did all their Tenmarks homework but on the teachers report the website said that more than half of the students didnt complete their assignments The website obviously has issues with having the right assignments appear Also there are lots of issues with the questions and anwsers I have only done 11 assignments 110 questions and theres already at least 4 mistakes Once when the answer was no mode the website said that the mode was actually 0 Some of the questions are confusing and it seems like ever since my school started using Tenmarks we had 3 times as much homework for math than before we used Tenmarks QH 701 IS187 NY     Bugs and Errors

I got a really good grade on the test so it gives me really hard assignments Im in 4th grade        Annoying

I am using this program and app with my kids to avoid summer slide They used it in their school this year My only complaint is that when my rising first grader took the assessment when we hit submit it had blanked the answers out like he didnt even bother and thereby he got a very low assessment score I know it wasnt a keying error on his part because I keyed a lot of them for him as we talked them through I know this isnt for a grade just know that backwards navigation in some cases erases your answers           Love the program but

Boring as heck     Hate it

This is an awesome app with tools like scrap paper hints and review It keeps the kids engaged with rewards and certificates They love the jam sessions I especially love the videos which demonstrate and explain the new skills My only gripe is that the sound has stopped working in the app which is a pain in the tushie because now I have to explain the demonstrations The sound works in everything else but not in this app I hope they resolve this issue and soon but otherwise I love it              Great AppStupid Bugs

This made my summer terrible It had lots of bugs that made it even harder to use this monstrosity of a program On top of that it was very terribly made so that it was a challenge to even be able to complete the problem This was very different from the way it is on the computer although that was also pretty bad Overall this was a very terrible program     This is the best thing for creating frustration and ruining your summer

I love the app It is great summer practice however my son is going into 1st grade and just learning to read and the sound where the app will read the question is not working Other wise Id rate it 5 stars           Really great app

My son has been trying to use this but each time he takes the assessment the app crashes and loses all his work Have tried twice now I give up I had hoped to look at the content and make my own decisions about it but since I cant access anything I give up     doesnt work skip it

Very cool I love this app so I can do TenMarks on the go But one thing Could you update the app so that we can play the games we unlock That would be great Thanks                 Its awesome just like the computer
