Love getting news from home on my BB or Ipad                 Works

Drunken monkeys could have designed a better interface It is confusing to navigate difficult to scroll through and takes mental gymnastics to link quotes photos headlines with stories The editors comments about the redesign are nonsensical gobblygook Ughhhhso bad     Terrible redesign

This is one buggy app I cant get to the login screen just a guest screen or blank screen when I select Profile But more importantly the quick access we had to CDN and US market info and the top news headlines is gone Instead of concise screens with easy access to all the stories we have to scroll through andor swipe to many different screens There is a lot of white space and large fonts which are a complete waste of space and time The old app let us browse quickly through the tops stories This is an essential feature for busy people We come to the app for news and not some designers vision nightmare of great design Theyve also merged many sections including arts and entertainment with sports How did that happen This new app is a buggy waste of time How disappointing for the best news source in Canada If it doesnt get fixed soon Ill be canceling my online suvbscription           Worst redesign ever

This redesigned app is worse than the previous version Slow to load wasteful of screen space not intuitive Hard to find information as there are only a few sections Boxes come up that do nothing but have a little note saying next Fire the folks that wrote this     Poor redesign

This update really needs work The former version offered much more for quick at a glance news updates and overviews Hence theres a poor use of real estate More ads in the new version as well Not appreciated     Poor use of real estate too many ads

I moved to the USA 25 years ago At the time if I wanted to read the Globe Id walk down to international news stand and pay 450 for one that was 3 days old Couldnt be happier with the app although a couple of the old columnist are still too clever by half by which I mean pretentious But heck it keeps me connected to Canada for which I am appreciative              Connecting to Canada

Unless this new App is improved in the next 30 days I will cancel my TGM subscription     Awful App

I really regret updating this app the other day It is horrible Before I could select the sections I wanted to read Not now No choices at all The font is too small to read as well PLEASE put it back to the way it was     Horrible since update

It crashes Its hard to find content Then it crashes again If you ask for help they tell you to look at the full website to find the content you want They even added an iOS learning guide 429 MB that tells you its an overengineered disaster Dont waste your time or money     Simply the worst

I used to use this app all the time The new one seems to have a fraction of the articles and no way to peruse the sections Being slightly prettier is not an improvement     Total Disaster

The first thing I see when starting this app are ads Problem is since iOS8 it seems the news articles fail to show and all I see is the ad Closing the app and starting over will sometimes correct the problem but not always     Frustrating

Since updating my iPhone 5s to ios 8 the app crashes on opening ie the red intro screen briefly flashes before the app disappears and the phone goes back to the home screen Reinstalling and rebooting did not help Please fix the app     App crashes in ios 8

Old app was one of the best news apps out there The redesign on this app is truly terrible Many sections are missing national politics world etc The new layout means you have to scroll through each individual story that the editorial board has decided they want you to read It was much better when there was a list of stories and the reader could choose for himselfherself what to read I expect the Globe will lose a lot of readers if these problems arent fixed     Terrible

The newly redesigned app is a huge step backward There is less content available and its presented in a mishmash format that is unclear and confusing Plus theres no back button to go back to the spot in the category you were in prior to tapping through to an article Big bust Stick with the website the new app is nothing but frustration     Terrible Redesign

This is the worst new version of an app I have ever seen It provides only a handful of Globe stories with little content breakdown Assumes Globe readers are incapable of choosing what they wish to reada huge step backwards for Canadas most respected newspaper     Disaster

This app is a pale shadow of the globes long tradition Often cant get past ads to read the news A limit on sections one can choose is ludicrous Stories are left up on the site for weeks unforgivable in this day and age Needs a major redesign or the Globe will join the CBC in the ranks of the Canadian media leftovers     Bad bad app

Very buggy on iOS 8 The only thing that always works are the massive ads that take up most of the screen Makes me wonder why I am paying for a subscription and what they are doing with my money     Very buggy

This app beyond its lack of content is not accessible to those with low vision The previous app allowed users the ability to increase font size this app has no such features Those with visual impairments must now resort to other local news outlets Really disappointing     Real disappointment

I live in the States and find American news media tough to digest I really enjoy this app as a way to stay on touch with whats happening in Canada as well as around the world                 Expat

This is a nicely conceived beautifully laid out app The content is good the visuals are especially nice Loads quickly on my iPad unlike some papers and Ive never had any problems with it              Nice newspaper app

This app gives the news faster than other news apps Would like to see subscription sign up page not sign in to read some news Otherwise the free news is great to read Still on iOS 7              The News with little wait time

Globe and Mail is a premier news outlet in Canada and this app allows the user to easily keep up with Canadian current events              A good view of current Canadian events and politics

Took an app that was unsexy but functional and turned it into something totally unusable I cant navigate to sections anymore cant seem to get anything more than a few articles the navigation seems completely unintuitive All in all an incredibly poor experience     Horrible Redesign

Since the last update the App crashes within 1 min of launching Maybe related to the data download for offline reading           Frequent crashes

I downloaded the latest update on tuesday around 2130 When I open the app all I get is a GM logo the weather bar and the stock market up or down symbols Nothing else loads even after waiting several minutes The little icons in the black sidebar onthe side do not work     Update doesnt work

Excellent app and I love the layout Every easy to jump from topic and sections Only one confusion How do i download and read off line Im flying a lot and on airplanes with zero wifi Need to know when i have all my subscriber and dailies ready for me at take off              Off line reading

The newest update is soooooo poorly designed that I initially thought it was a temporary spoof or prank Cant find any subsections cant navigate to stories And when I find something to read it crashes I do like the clean uncluttered lookalthough it is uncluttered because they took the content away If this is not fixed within the next few days Im canceling my paid subscription Update I called and tried to cancel my subscription However they bribed me with a 25 discount and I relented and kept it as I do read the paper online also So they bought themselves a reprieve with the bribe If they dont fix the app soon Im outta here     Beyond awful

Every update this app seems to get worse in terms of stability When it works I love it But thats 20 of the time     Crashes and connection problems

Bring back the ability to browse to sections for example National International News and the option to browse to news tailored to the province or area of the country the reader is interested in Allow the customization instead of being stuck with only whatever stories are displayed           Missing Sections

As a paying globe customer they have taken away my ability to read the content I want with this update Literally the worst update to an app I have ever seen I cant even find articles on home and garden etc I might have to think about canceling my paid subscription because of this update     Wish I could give it zero stars

The new app forces you to scroll from article to article I hate scrolling page after page to find an interesting article I much prefer seeing a list of article titles and selecting the one to read I was able to reinstall the older version using iTunes Happy again     I already miss the old app

Why did you people change the old app it was working fine Now there is a quarter of the content and the design is horrible Made me cancel my subscription     Just horrible
