Great app to read news on the go Very responsive and quick The Hindu is all about dauntless reporting And I love its app too                 Really expeditious app

I dont get how such a prominent newspaper produces such a shoddy app     Hideously ugly app

Does not have good features was expecting news to get updated frequently but that is not happening for regional sections inspite of refresh Need lot of good features to compete with likes of NDTV and Times of India        Not up to date news and limited features

Updated for latest revision Great improvements still see some text missinghiding on the right side Would appreciate if more content was added and give us option to download content to phone Best news paper in India app is simple to navigate nothing fancy would be great if resolutionquality is improved Pictures font look blurry on iPhone 6 In some articles some text on the right will be missing I cant see it even if I slide it to left Would appreciate if more content was provided cant wait for Frontline app              Waiting for this app for long time

The graphics are poor the app itself is buggy and crashes frequently but Im ready to overlook all of that as Im so happy that we finally have an iOS app for the beloved TH But recently Ive also been getting the feeling that the quality of editing in both the desktop and mobile editions is not good especially compared to the print edition There are numerous typos awkwardly worded paragraphs and misplaced sentences I hope someone up the food chain looks into this and gives the internetmobile editions the respect they deserve There are people like me who would be willing to spend money for the app provided we get the sort of premium content we all expect from TH           The iOS app is finally here

Really What is it 2007 that you are using such shabby graphics        Non retina optimized graphics

this app is a complete failure It doesnt load on iPhone 4 or 4S Major disappointment     App doesnt work

While the arrival of this app is most welcome there are a few niggles that could be sorted out 1 The touch seems to not be the most fluid whilst scrolling in app A certain amount of pressure is required Response to touch could be better 2 Introduce an in app feedback button so that issues can directly reach the developers           Could be better

I love The Hindu news paper and have grown up reading it back in India I was excited when I found the app But I am not very happy as I am unable to update to a newer version The app prompts to upgrade but never gets upgraded when tried Very disappointed with such a bad app     Difficult to upgrade

I love The Hindu But the app is a major disappointment its slow takes time to load not user friendly and looks like it was created ten years back You have such great potential You should keep up with trends and be at leasten par with your competitors if not better than them        You must keep up with times Yup pun intended

Unusable app on an iPhone 5 I have not been able to read a single news item It brings up 2 popups asking to specify location and when u click ok it crashes As much as I love the newspaper this application is a joke Someone needs to be fired for this     Crashes every single time

29 March Latest update has again brought back the Back Button bug under cities It is now again always going to Bengaluru even if Im reading a Chennai article Im really glad to see the updated app as it addressed a lot of the previous issues However one annoying thing I found is that when Im in the Chennai section under Cities and am reading an article related to Chennai when I tap the Back button as thats the only option I see it takes me back to the main Cities section instead of Chennai Please fix this              Updates improve the app

Nice app It would be great if I have a option to turnoff location service Every time when I open this app it prompts for location service           Bug Cant turnoff location service

I use an iPhone 5S with the latest version of iOS Unfortunately I have not had any success using this app to read my favorite newspaper The preferences do not get stored and content does not seem to consistently get delivered to my phone even after long waits I am sure you will fix the app to work at the standards The Hindu is known for but right now I am a dissatisfied consumer Help        Just does not seem to work

Fix it           Would be decent if it didnt crash on startup all the time

The updates that I see in the app are remarkable the earlier versions of the app were very slow and unresponsive and quite ugly I like the Hindu article and the newspaper that was the only reason I downloaded the app but was very disappointed Over a period of time the app has shown significant improvement over the updates it received I see a lot of improvement can still be made and they should be open to ideas and look into other news app and take ideas from there as well Checkout the ndtv app how the app loads and the for the user how user friendly it has been made The Hindu has a mark for itself in the newspapers this should also reflect in their mobile apps as well The 3 stars are for the improvements made in the app           Updates are good still more scope to improve

After the recent update not able to close the left menu by scrolling it to left Have to again click the icon of left menu For some reason this nagging is making us to go to other news sources        Left menu scroll option not there

The new apps look and feel is good However the categories section have a very serious bug Whenever the app opens up its not retaining or remembering the categories selection I dont want Delhi assembly elections 2015 anymore Also it would be great if the cities category also remembers or retains the selection Its always defaulting to Delhi Please fix this ASAP           Look and Feel is Good But Serious Issues with Categories

This is a simple and effective app for consuming news on the go from Indias most trusted news house You can pick the sections you want presented in the app and the interface is easy to browse The app is reliable and performs well in bad network conditions The news items are cached when there is no network                 Simple and effective

Now a days I dont see news but views Gone are the days when I can see Russia Ukraine issues on the front page Thats the only reason I like this newspaper This app needs improvement in terms of stability Crashes few times The reason for 4 stars I can customize my home page and select the news I want to see              Finally
