This app does not work even if you are a subscriber When you try to log in it will say that your username password is incorrect when it isn t or that your subscription has expired when it hasn t This app is not functional If you try to contact customer service about it you will get no response to multiple emails and the most argumentative attitudinal representatives on the phone This app and its customer service are a mess App does not work BeeAsInBumble

I love The Nation and I don t regret subscribing However I would like to be able to access the digital archives through this app Additionally this isn t very user friendly especially to try and read an issue I love he website but this needs a LOT of work I agree with everyone else arussell726

This is the worst app I ve ever worked with My latest issue opened the previous issue instead and could never get it to work Customer service told me to call iTunes yeah right I insisted on talking to digital support told to remove and reinstall the app and that I wouldn t need a log in because I purchased sub through iTunes That didn t work and I am locked out of my existing sub I cancelled iTunes renewal and signed up through the Nation and will try again Lost an Hour Trying to Fix an Issue Kim_Bee

Where to begin The issue format is different than the app I know this because a warning pops up every time I open an issue You can t read issues offline When offline the app closes itself When downloading an issue you have to keep the app open if it closes it stops downloading As good as the Nation is this app is as bad Breathtakingly Bad lapresle

If I could give the app no stars I would This is an atrocious update I have been a reader of the Nation for decades but with this new travesty of an app I am no longer not out of choice but because it wont let me log in The instructions for verifying a subscription with the new app if the subscription was obtained through iTunes require me to hit done and library from my account page neither of which are even on the page Checking on the web I see that the app can be used if the subscription is through the magazine directly but those subscribers have additional features available to them If youre an iTunes subscriber I guess you have neither these added features nor even the magazine What a deal Update September 14 2016 I called The Nation The person I spoke with seemed to know nothing about the continuing problems through the iTunes app with an iTunes subscription Because I have an iTunes subscription I was left with no resolution just a referral to the Nation tech department This happened when I called earlier this year I regret now subscribing in January If you are considering subscribing DONT at least not through iTunes Awful App
Im on a 50mbps fios connection and the 150mb file is currently about a third of the way done after an hour of downloading This is my third attempt at downloading it This should take 1015 seconds on my connection My email to their tech support has gone unanswered for over 4 days I love the content of this magazine but this attempt at an app is pathetic Dont waste your time Incredibly slow downloads
Im also relieved to see some of these reviews and learn the problems arent unique on my end You pay extra for this digital subscription in my case to save paper but youd think it would also bring some measure of convenience Instead I see another app offers new issues before the Nation there is some mysterious message telling me the version of the app Im using isnt the latest and there may be formattingissues and there are but no clear way to upgrade Plus Ive had to phone the office a few times to reactivate my subscription when it hadt expired but I was being prompted to by issues There appears to be no way to correct something Ike that online I hope the Natipn app developers will look into this App needs some work
