The Settlers HD

Ive worked through all but the last level but have been continually frustrated by several of the game concepts I was hoping for something like Warcraft or CC but several things make The Settlers less about strategy and more about technicalities Since you cant fight the peons target specific units to attack retreat units that are engaged and the best strategy with the towers is to build them to expand your territory and then destroy them so that enemies dont capture your territory by taking the towers If you havent played you cant understand why each of these concepts are extremely frustrating but those of you that have progressed know exactly what I mean Also I had assumed there is a noncampaign mode but there isnt     Frustrating Game Concepts

No multiplayer no sandbox This game is a failure     Disappointed

Way way to complex and not optimized for the iPad interface Feels like a bad port from the desktop     Complex

i just wish there were more levels or more games like it realtime complex strategy where you have to manage resource accumulation supply lines combat etc itd be easier if oversea colonization were simpler but dammit oversea colonization isnt simple in real life so you learn to deal with it also it crashes on last dark tribe level                 best strategy game on iPad

They could make some money selling next version How about a 199 map pac By the way this is a strategy game there are no glitches if the game did not move you made a mistake have to restart and think a little and find a new strategy thats the fun Complaining about it is like complaining about the nytimes crossword If its too hard for you just drop it and play farmville If you cant make level 3 probably best you do that now because higher levels get way worse Oh the fun                 This was fun whats next

Ive always liked Settlers series on PC and now I can play it on my iPad Pity that there is no retina support last update in 2010                 Love this game

I 3 the idea but it needs a manual or something to explain more On lvl 4 i cant figure out how to make weapons no materials go to the weapon smith They need to fix this and add a manual soon              Great concept but

The graphic is just not good enough not even close to those free ones With 499 I would expect much better quality in term of graphic and game designmoney wasted     Not worth the money

Quality game nicely ported to iPad Engrossing and highly addictive I keep going back and replaying all the missions as once they are over thats it This game needs more missions and a skirmish mode with random map generatorplease devs continue supporting this excellent game Take my There is currently nothing quite like it                 More missions and Skirmish mode please

It needs a sandbox mode The campaigns are fun at first but you would make so much more money if you added a free play mode           Come on

I dont see how anyone can have the audacity to call this HD Everything is really really lowres and blocky and not very nice to look at Ive been disappointed by Gameloft before and this is just one more example why you just should not buy their games     Boo

Dear Gameloft Im not sure you still read or see the reviews on this game because it is so old but I just wanted to say that this game is one of my favorite games I have ever played on an iPad and I think that it is one of if not the best game that you all have ever made If you see this review I just want yall to know that there is still a big audience for this amazing game and I think it would be awesome if you all remastered it for the newer iPads because I seriously love this game Thank you                 One of my favorite games ever

Could not play past even the second level because the graphics are just horrible Seems like a decent game but I cant bare to look at it anymore     Aweful

I love the game but the problem is I cant pass it It crashes too much gets to the point it crashes on every level on my case I cant pass anything If I save constantly so I dont lose anything and the game was going to crash after the save it crashes right after you load it and makes it impossible to pass the level     Glitchy

So the game is fine until I get to the dark tribe Once I get there the game crashes on mission 9 I have searched for a possible solution and there doesnt appear to be one or one thats been reported Some support would be great        Keeps crashing

A peaceful mode where you just build would be fun                 Great

Well despite the warnings about level 3 I still decided to buy the game Well Im in level 3 and guess what My dang donkey wont move I checked my water production and it IS producing Soo Im at a loss Anymore suggestions Other than that the game seems pretty fun so far       

This game needs sandbox made where you have everything and you can fight opponents     Needs sandbox mode

My favorite strategy game app However it started crashing when I try any command with my harbors on the Mayan search continues in the Dark Tribe Very frustrating Please fixupdate and Ill give it five stars              Great game

Its pretty good but some of the missions are very frustrating and bs like a man ship that spawns randomly with huge amounts of troops that will kill you even though you have 5 warships that wont attack it lol But really you guys need a freeplay option              Its pretty good

For all of you people that are complaining that the game does not tell you when your economy is crashing do you really think that in real life there would be something telling you that your economy is crashing and how to fix it no of course not Why do you think that how to fix the economy is always being debated because it is not obvious Also this so called glitch with the water workers hut is not a glitch at all if you collect water from the sea you will have salt water and I dont think that donkeys or anything drink salt water so you should get water from the river where there is fresh water But I do think that this game desperately needs a sandbox mode And please use common sense when writing your reviews              Is great but lacks a sandbox mode

This one awful and boring game with DOS days graphics and a lame tutorial that forces you to follow an exhausting path before you can actually play I Dont recommend it     Terrible game

Gameloft isnt nice because they didnt post any of my reviews and probably wont post this one I sent in a review but when I went to see if it was uploaded to the review screen and after I had hit submit it didnt go into the reviews thing The review I sent in a week ago was a ok one that would of helped someone out there playing this game Here is my shortened list of what I want Gameloft to do Skirmish mode where you can pick two races and fight as one of them The Dark Tribe campaign should be played AS the dark tribe And they need a difficulty selection Finally I say it again not cool Gameloft not cool     Not cool Gameloft not cool

This is worth the money but there needs to be update Right now all there is is campaign so there need to be skirmish But the campaign is hard but fun                 Great

Its the best Warcraft type game Ive seen on iPad Works great on my ipad2 and I enjoyed all three campaigns please make more high quality Games like this                 Good graphics and game play
