It used to be a decent app but now its heavy on colloquial speech and limited on academic formal language     Better for limited English learners

I used this app often and I really like it because it improved my vocabulary but I wish the keyboard letters lagging time gets fixed              I think its a good app

One of my FAVORITE APPS When Im looking for a better that perfect word to add just the right Oomph to my writing it is fabulous having an App I can quickly access in a beautifully vivid easy to navigate layout                 Excellent App

I want to like this app but as a pure thesaurus this app is weak and the rhyme addon is beyond weak I can think of more rhymes off of the top of my head than this provides The design is mostly good though Here are a few suggestions Add a wider range of synonyms and add a section for loosely related words Add the pronunciation option for the word the user is looking up Add definitions for favorite words and beef up the favorites feature in general Add better definitions Add many more rhymes to the rhyme upgrade Overall this app has lot of potential but as it stands its not worth 3 and the rhyme upgrade is worthless That you charge 2 for that is ridiculous        Well designed but thin content

This is a great and very useful thesaurus My only complain is that it is not comprehensive in terms of different uses of a word Usually contain the definition for one of it uses as noun or a verb but not both                 Great app

Ive used the Internet version on thesauruscom and loved it This app is much more difficult to navigate and use You have to type the word then select from a list of the same word and if you pick the wrong selection there is no back button Why cant it just be as easy as your internet version I wished I had just saved my money and used my chrome browser instead        Not as easy to use as the Internet

The one thing I hate most about thesaurus apps is that they just throw all the together in one messy paragraph TRex is refreshing in its approach the adjustable list format is brilliant and its my go to app However the volume of suggestions offered doesnt even come close to the English Thesaurus app so if Im not satisfied with TRexs suggestions I fire that one up It would be nice to have it all in one app but we dont live in a perfect world Both apps are reasonable priced and make for a great combination one for quick convenient lookups and the other for an indepth lookup I recommend getting both              Love the presentation but would like more content

I use this app all the time I just love it You no longer have to sound ignorant by using the same words over and over you can find a better word for your usage the uses are endless It is so easy to use youll love it too                 Tweety3241

This is a very helpful app as is the Dictionary app not only for me as a teenage author but for anyone interested in writing wanting to be a journalist or simply for someone writing essays                 Very useful

As soon as I opened I had to pay another 2 for the rhyming tool So I did Put in the word sonic It came up no rhymes for this word I used all tools available including syllablesand nothing How about chronicphonictonic Thats just the 2 syllable rhymes I came up with Waste of money Overrated junk You can get more help with a search engine     Not for songwriters

Why is it when u press the back arrow u go to the previous searches word instead of the previous screen Why would I want to go back to the previous word Ive already searched for a new word and am working with it trying to find the right synonym I need to go back to the list of words pertaining to the current word search not back to the previous word search           Needs one more thing

Okay so I dont usually write app reviews but I am hoping I get lucky and my feedback is heard bc this app could be perfect and amazingly useful with just a few small but detrimental changes I want this app to be my one go to when writing and its so close if 1 there was a small spot to write a note a sticky note would be amazing 2 the rhyming lists were complete I constantly catch numerous words that were somehow looked over instead it says no available rhymes for this word cmon thats lame Please fix 3 the dictionary example sentence and almost all the add ons are a total rip off and an insult to your customers I unfortunately bought every one took one look and then immediately regretted each purchase but I just cant delete yet bc I love the concept so much and if the dictionary add on wasnt a scam and actually worked it would be huge Please fixupdate and if gladly give 5 stars Oh and it would be nice to be able to move aroundeditorganize the starred word list        So much potential please keep improving

App is a handy tool for looking up words while reading for pleasure Bible study and drafting documents A copy and paste function would greatly extend the usefulness of the app           Nice App Missing Copy Paste Function

I dont often use a thesaurus but this one seems excellent to me It returns an abundance of synonyms or near synonyms whenever I type in a search Being an iPad app its very handy                 Useful

I have been using this specific thesaurus for over a few years now and I must say that as a journalist myself even I have been LITERALLY blown away by how much my vocabulary has naturally increased simply by using this thesaurus originally I got it to help prevent any redundant words for example when corresponding professionally through emails but found myself INSTANTLY addicted and I am not known for having an addictive personality I started using it it to type ANY ALL of my emails casual or not and many of my friends and acquaintances noticed too Im now often complemented for sending exciting hilarious interesting wellwritten or typed to put it properly emails texts When I moved states and my career wasnt transferable I found that I was utterly disgusted by the way Id allowed my resume to be considered finished and distributed to my network when last seeking a position But instead of trashing the old one and starting over from scratch I simply pasted it onto a brand new updated attractive format template cut out unnecessary sentences rearranged the opening paragraph and most importantly used my thesaurus throughout the entire process which I knew was a major upgrade once I received 5 times the responses and interviews than before along with offers including impressive pay increases and more than 4 offers changed the position in which Id applied for and promoting the proposal to a higherup much better paying position which of course meant better benefits and perks All due to the newly acquired upgrade in my vocabulary when I had a perfectly excellent way of speech before I mean I had used the SAME old resume only adding a few QUICK improvements Before long I was referring to this application for every single thing that required me to communicate text messages resumes documents even my planner and schedule Obviously as Ive mentioned already the best part about it is that I have significantly improved my articulation and vocabulary in only a couple of months I had added thousands thousands of new words which is far more than I could ever have absorbed during my eight years in college Thesaurus I cant live without you My only advice for improvement would be to add more content in the extra featuresaddons For example there are fairly no thoughtful words in the Rhyming addon which makes it worthless There should also be more examples demonstrating the use of the word in different sentences to help people understand a more varied perspective of the different meanings a single word can take on That said I only regret paying extra money for features that my and most every mind is far more skilled that then what the feature claims to bring to the table Overall I find this a welldeserved 5star thesaurus app and trust me I have compared them all 8                 EFFORTLESS WAY TO INCREASE VOCAB

I dont use this resource as much as I should The UX is intuitive the material is copious Its definitely worth the money                 Fantastic resource

This is great to find words that add greater variation to what is written                 Thesaurus

If I have time I use my unabridged 1300page Rogets but this app runs a close second while being convenient and remarkably quick And of course Ive always got it with me                 Tremendously quick and convenient

Okay Im an undergraduate at Brown University and this app has been a life saver for me This may sound a little sycophantic but it is literally the best thesaurus I have ever used Completely worth buying this app Trust me My papers have become so much better as a result of this thesaurus                 Best Thesaurus on the Market

The thesaurus part is okay The in app purchase of the rhymes component is a waste for numerous reasons Examples The word know rhymes with how and now according to these guys Really Is that because ow are the last two letters And forget it if you want to find a two syllable word that is a rhyme for any one syllable word No one home for that So If youre an author or write research reports etc probably a helpful app If youre a songwriter not so much           Marginally useful for rhymes

We use this often in our songwriting It offers a great list of alternatives to find that perfect word The functionality and intuitive ease of use is great Although there is an included rhyming dictionary from a songwriters perspective a fuller set of rhymes would be particularly useful                 Great for songwriting
