I own so many music apps that I usually have to delete a trainload of the when iOS upgrade time comes around This app is special It sounds great even on my iPhone and has an excellent interface that blows all other music interfaces off the map It took me all of 10 seconds to start sounding musical with Thumbjam When you add the included scale libraries to the package you have the best musicsynth app for iOS Keep up the good work                 The best

Theres a problem with the sliding notes when setting the mode to the same one the theramin uses The pitch is going the wrong way when sliding your finger           Broken

I have them almost all The good ones and some not so good that I eventually deleted from my device However ThumbJam has never since its introduction left any of my devices The cello is sick it sounds real So do the flutes and other instruments This is definitely one of my favourites Very creative intuitive expressive but most importantly one of the most playable of all                 Get This

Can someone tell me why the sounds on this app are better than my 3000 keyboard Plus its easier to play This is a solid five star app I do wish there was a robust sequencer though                 Still the best

Was this app invented to waste peoples time Better hope you NEVER make mistakes or you could spend hours trying to get a complicated piece recorded Factor in the lack of an option for a keyboard interface and this app is truly an unbelievable let down Really a shame because the sounds they have are quite goodbut really Even FIGURE lets you edit loops     NO EDITING SERIOUSLY

This IS the go to app for me sounds are great scales make its playability go way up on the list                 Awesome in its own right

I have so many of these apps Looking for the perfect drum looper and synth I discovered this app The sound is incredible The interface is very straight forward and easy to use The cello viola and strings sound AMAZING on this I thought the interface would be a bit difficult to play as I was looking for piano keyboard interface but this is pretty easily played I plan to try it for recording but havent yet Very happy with this app                 Great App thats easy to use sounds amazing

A friend showed me this app on his iPhone which was very cool but on the iPad you almost feel like youre sitting at a keyboard This app is incredible and pretty revolutionary in how just by selecting various musical scales anyone without any musical training can basically create loops base lines etc and jam to it without hitting a wrong note Like paintbynumber for music You can tell a lot went into developing this app                 Best iPad App

ThumbJam has been around for a long time on the App Store It has continued to improve getting more awesome sounds and more unbelievable new features It is one of the few apps that actually is a unique musical instrument that cannot be duplicated as a hardware instrument You can play and record sounds like none other and the instrument itself will make a newbie sound like an expert and an expert sound incredibleIf I only had one app I would make it ThumbJam                 The Ultimate Music App

Absolutely beautiful This is one of the best investments I have ever made into music production Not only is it a lot of fun to mess around with but the quality is incredible It is great for adding backing string tracks into recordings or even live if we dont have a MIDI keyboard with us Most instruments are okay The strings tho make the entire app worth every penny and even more than its priced                 Best app I have ever purchased

I have been playing music with ThumbJam since it was first released Each update has made this app which was firstrate to begin with better and better With this latest update I was able to jam with four instruments Blues Organ Tenor Sax Acoustic Guitar and Trombone side by side in Minor Blues scale What an incredible sound And I cant play any of those instruments If you enjoy jamming along with recorded music or just creating your own this is the app to get As I have stated previously I do not understand why this app is not the number one rated music app                 THE BEST GETS BETTER

Both Thumbjam and DrumJam show up as interapp audio apps on Retronyms Tabletop but fail to play a note Please make them function properly Thank you     Please make it work on Retronyms Tabletop

I know personally that polarpaul and crabjuice two reviewers who have this app 5 stars work for sonosaurus the company that made this app and I suspect many of the other good reviews are planted as well That being said i speak as someone who has actually paid money for this app and want you to know that it is falsely advertised There are several instruments and many of them sound good but if you come on expecting to actually record loops or make any beats or do anything beyond just playing the same scales on a collection of instruments look elsewhere The recording and loop creation works well while making the song but after you save it and come back the app plays each looped instrument from the beginning instead of where you started recording it effectively ruining your song     IMPORTANT READ BEFORE YOU BUY THIS APP

This is a great app but a few things are missing No quantize I get that its supposed to be more of a looping app but its hard to get anything sounding right without quantize Also no stopstart of the metronome It just goes and goes making it harder to sync with other apps I would use this as my main sampler for live shows but I cant yet Thanks for the great app though              Great but

I downloaded this app when it went on sale for 99 just recently And I am kind of sad I have been missing out on this for so long Haha I did end up buying it for a friend at the 899 price because it was worth it I had also had some questions about setting up the scales and presets to work with the new Auug caseholder and they were quick to help me out Got all my questions answered in a timely manner by email being in business I expect 2 days or less response time Looking forward to playing around with this app more The only bad thing I have run into so far is that the Bluetooth transmission is a little slow for using the app over a Bluetooth speaker or receiver Only tested it on a mpow Bluetooth 40 receiver so it could have been the receivers issue                 Great app and good customer service

Needs more drum machine and percussion options to be perfect though And the iPhone version should at least split in two I also heard some fret buzz on one of the bass samples and other inconsistencies in the samples as well as weird volume surges from note to note           Awesome

This is definitely a goto app Not just because of the lush and wonderful sounds that come with it and free downloadable instruments but because it can be used as a midi controller I can not only control my other synths with ThumbJam I can either use them individually blend them with ThumbJamb instruments or blend them with other synth simultaneously The blending of timbres has produced some amazing sounds I fear Ill never get any work done again It also comes with a huge selection of scales Regardless of how many instruments are on screen at a time up to four with slots for four more standing by I can choose an individual scale for each instrument or have them all change to the current one being used and keep that scale even if I change instruments Selecting a key to play in is simple and if used makes it so you never hit a wrong note The visual aspect of this has helped me understand music theory much better The interface is a breeze to use and very intuitive You can scale the number of octaves on the screen from a pentatonic to several octaves It wasnt long before I was able to control notes with three or four fingers Making the flute flurry or the stringed orchestral instruments trill is easy There is a four track recorder which I havent used much and the ability to play alone with your iTunes music Comes in handy when Im trying to learn to play a song or just jamming with my favorite tunes This app has been very well thought out and is one that lives on my iPad dock I highly recommend it                 AMAZING app

you can make some great stuff with this appalso theres alot of free instrumentssamples and beats to download Ive always loved oriental folk music and i finally made my own with this beautiful piece of techThe song sounded like i could actually play the instrumentsmy wife thought i was bull shing her she couldnt believe the sounds you cam get from it if you love andor want to make your own stuff you need this app in your arsenal i hooked up my iPad to some amplified pc speakersthen play some power chordsits almost like standing in front of a marshall holding a Les Paulwhich neither ill ever be able to own but this was close enough and a lot cheaper                 one of the best

I fumbled around and got a loop going but some of the notes were off No problem just get into the matrix editor and uh except you cant edit at the note level You can see your loop tracks but you cant actually get in there and drag individual notes around like every other musicmaking app That would mean that this app is only for performers not people who like to tweak each note to perfection Since Im not a performer that would make this app useless to me Someone tell me Im wrong Am I missing something How do I edit looped notes     No note editing No sequencer
