A tilt-shift lens allows to move the plane of focus at will within the boundaries of the lens` settings. Tilt Calculator determines the best settings of your tilt-shift lens so you can adjust it accurately, ...
It should would be nice to able to manually input the CoC             Circle of Confusion asislen
this app is absolutely awesome the graphics allow you to understand an play with the tilt and the inputs measurement function is extremely useful when photographing maybe i will be skilled enough one day to not need this but especially considering the cost of a TS lens buying this app is a good idea                     Thank you dsmem2011
Very well explained theory and very useful calculator greatly improves the fun of tilt shift lenses aka no more guesswork                     Great software Siwyn
I have just started to explore Canon tilt shift lenses and find this calculator invaluable in determing degree of tilting needed to achieve desired focus Its results match those printed in various tables when the camera itself is level This calculator really comes into its own when you tilt the camera itself in addition to tilting the lens for instance in using a 90 mm T S lens for macro shots There is an animated help section in the app that shows you visually what happens when you adjust various parameters As for the previous reviewer s criticism the distance from the camera to the hinge line can be set in inches or centimeters you select the units on the set up screen where you specify the sensor or film size and the focal length of the T S lens The positive or negative values the previous reviewer lambasted are referenced from the camera itself which presumably is on a tripod or even hand held some distance above the ground For a camera on a 60 inch tripod used for landscape photos for instance the hinge line would be ground level so the distance from the camera to the hinge line would be 60 inches This becomes even more important if the plane of focus is vertical eg a long wall extending into the distance rather than horizontal along the ground Similarly the degree of tilt is measured in reference to the camera so tilt downward is negative if camera is in landscape orientation and tilt upward is positive There is a short learning curve to using this calculator as there is with T S lenses and I would suggest users review the help tutorial section of the app first to learn its conventions which do make sense for an app that can be used for all manner if tilt shift lenses including perhaps large format but I have no experience with the latter All in all an outstanding app for doing the calculations needed to reduce trial and error in using T S lenses I have no connection with the app itself just am a satisfied user                     Excellent Adjunct to using tilt shift camera lenses Satisfied Seattle user
Rediculous Can t tell measurement units says everything is inches I don t think so negative hinge line height of camera off the ground What does that mean Your tripod is in a hole Software is just useless Wish I could get my back     Save your money Rgacpa
