Timbuktu provides children with innovative stories new characters and fun games Mr Polar Bear is a fun story created by Rock Band Land Absolutely a must have app for your youngsters and their parents                 Awesome and innovative app
This is a phenomenal app You guys have done a fantastic job of creating something engaging educational and fun Way to go                 This is awesome
THIS GAME KEEPS BRINGING UP THIS SUSCRIBERS THING AND I TRY TO PLAY AND IT WONT LET ME              Fun yet mad
Timbuktu has a fun game The Goods is fun because it makes cool sounds It is so fun I recommend you to get it By my 7yearold girl                 I love Timbuktu
This used to be a great app one my daughter and I would enjoy nightly However after the last few updates it seems to be getting worse The February calendar seems to be stuck on yesterdays date there are duplicate dates and Ive been finding grammatical errors within the stories I did email them about my first problem and i received a reply stating that the next update would address this That was 2 updates ago and it seems to betting worse Please fix this so we can enjoy this as we used to           Great family app
The first issue was terrific but the new moneyoriented attitude of the most recent version is terrible The app is now based on a virtual currency called bubbles I would not mind to pay a fix fee to subscribe the magazine but i dont want my kids to manage my already meagre finances I also dont like the Facebook approach I dont want my kids there Change your business model and you may have me back Oh and its a drag to have to daily update the app contents        No more bubbles
I wish it had more stories everyday but daily things work for now My wife and kids love it hopefully it will only get better Great app And its free                 Cool app
Think the cutest picture books an iPad Modern clean efficient and easy to use This app is basically all you want from Apple and kids apps and it seems like a great way to utilize an iPad to learn Id recommend this to anyone The articles are all really different and diverse too it ranges from recipes to math mysteries to talking animals Fun and fresh                 fun and fresh
One if the most beautiful whimsical childrens apps for the iPad Great content daily Amazing                 Beautiful whimsical
I have downloaded this 4 times today hoping to change the outcome We have a ipad2 new this month It downloads I see an attractive opening page for a second or two and then it instantly turns totally black and never recovers     Quickly turns to black screen
It uses bubbles as inapp currency These cost real money Just do a monthly or yearly subscription so I dont have to worry about unlocking content every day What a waste of some terrific content     Great content deplorable paywall
I downloaded it randomly and did not expect to like it so much but its great I love the concept and pictures Easy to use no glitches fun games My kids enjoy it                 Great for all ages
I like the idea of this app But I think there are very few free features I checked the stories of the day on Tuesday and today it is Thursday and some of those same stories are on the main page And one that was free on Tuesday is now a premium feature I do not like that Facebook is the only login option Kids are not even supposed to be on Facebook So why would you develop a kids app that requires Facebook        Okay
Awesome app for kids in the family                 Great update
The app is not bad or good its okay           Okay
Not only its educational its beautiful and fun My 7yo daughter always have something to look for each day                 A must have
Great stuff Keep it coming                 My virtual children salute you
Keeps on booting me out     Not working
What a gem I am wild about this app and love Timbuktus multicultural international and goodnatured spin on the parentchild reading experience Your magazine makes me smile laugh and feel nostalgic about my own childhood As an educator I recommend this app both personally and professionally for familys eager to take shared story time to the next level                 A Wonderful Reading Experience
Best designed childrens app Ive seen I really like the new set up theyve designed of having a new article revealed each day Very engaging and the new navigation makes exploring each issue much easier                 Beautiful design illustration
Timbuktu is amazingmy child is improving in schoolbut on the same time she is also having fun So now its not one of those programs where shes trying to learn but on the same time shes not having fun I am so proud of my child but Im also proud of myself because if I never downloaded this app she wouldnt be learning                 Perfect for my child
So many good stories in here cant wait to see what comes up in my calendar                 Love this app
I enjoyed the variety of sections like a classroom newspaper                 Fun while educational
My little sisters love the app They play and learn together its fun to watch them enjoy something so interactive and fun Glad that I downloaded this                 Great for kids
Ok screw my kids Im addicted to this Its beautiful fun and really engaging I thought it would just be stories but the activities are great like building your own character and our girls love it Really worth it Oh and I got loads of free bubbles by telling my friends Woop                 Love it
A big fat zero That is my rating because you have to sign in with Facebook Facebook is for cry babies and braggers Should offer alternative sign in options Not EVERYBODY likes Facebook     Disappointed
Thank you for this update Weve always loved Timbuktu but didnt really like to pay with bubbles The subscription option is way better Thank you for listening to our feedback                 My kid is growing up with Timbuktu Magazine
This app is a wonderful way to get kids to love mathstoriescooking and other great things                 Best app magazine for kids
My family and I just got an iPad and we downloaded a bunch of apps including Timbuktu This probably turned out to be our favorite one because the pictures and graphics are adorable Like what the other users said very kid friendly Fun for children and grownups                 Good app
Just found this app and used it with my 10year old son We both had a ball checking out the different activities and the graphics are amazing Thanks for a great app to share with kids Creative fun is the best kind                 Love this so far
Ill start off by saying that I preferred the old version of the app and would have gladly paid a monthly subscription fee to help them generate revenue to keep it up That said I still love the applove the designs the GUI the content and the whole concept I hope they keep coming up with new fresh content Thanks guys                 I love this app
Educational fun and interactive for all parties                 Its all weve been using
I have a great time reading the stories with my children I love the vibrant pictures especially on my new iPad 3 Makes for great bedtime stories and also very educational Definately an awesome app                 Fun and cute
Im wild about Timbuktu Its tough finding high quality apps for my kids that are both educational and entertaining Id recommend this to anyone with children in elementary school                 Great iPad magazine for kids
I love Timbuktu Magazine The new content is even better and Im happy they switched to subscriptions Finally I pay once and I dont have to think about it anymore Lots of interactive and educational content my kids are definitely more engaged by the new story formats Great job Timbuktu                 The best magazine for 7 to 10 yo children
Janiya                 Its so fun
As an educator I recommend this app both personally and professionally I use it with my students in 3rd grade and I find it perfect Its a clever publication that helps kids learn with great games and stories The future of children storytelling is here                 This is the future of children publishing
Updated Review I am terribly disappointed with the app What started as a great magazine with fantastic creativity storytelling and art now has become an awful experience I understand that great content may come with a price but then make it an annual or monthly subscription model I loved the magazine articles where are those My kids ask me to read to them many of the stories in the previous version over and over I can not find those anywhere They should have left the old version as it was and promote a different App for this new model in my opinion It is very poor taste what the company did with this app Previous to November update I have downloaded several of the top magazine apps and several Apps for kids Timbuktu is without a doubt the most interesting fun and entertaining educational and artistic App out there so far It is free and is better in many ways than magazines like Wired Project et cetera     Truly an amazing art app not only for kids but everyone
Ive taught in elementary school and witnessed the power of iPad as a new medium to deliver education material After trying out 50 digital magazines and apps I gotta say Timbuktu is the best app out there for kids I wish I had something like this growing up                 Best kids app ever
Finally some content for my kids that goes beyond the animal sounds junk And having new content every day is a great idea                 Love it
This app is certainly growing and changing I first looked at it in March and the appearance has changed it is more diverse in the offerings and it contains more interactive ideas and seems more engaging Thanks for all the hard work We look forward to the new activities We also like that you can explore the archives              For the growing child
Its tough finding high quality apps for my kids that are both educational and entertaining The content of Timbuktu nails it and my kids look forward to the next days story in this terrific app                 Terrific content my kids love it
Ridiculous price for a subscription especially for a mediocre app     Not worth it
This would be like letting your kid go into a bubble machine and charging you a 1 every time they touch one I have been on the app for 10 minutes and unable to maneuver anywhere without touching bubbles which cost money My kids would have a field day Wait until they Introduce a subscription model then give it a try I think they would do quite well     Payment Model Scam
I really wish that I did not update this app My grandson does not like it anymore     Updates not always better
By far my favorite app for my daughter love the offline projects                 Favorite kids app
Wonderful Educational and Entertaining Keeps children busy for a while                 Educational
Was really enjoying the app with my kids until I discovered there seems to be no way to unsubscribe When you purchase it it automatically signs you up to renew every year for the going rate There is no clear way to get out of this obligation which makes it very unattractive and horribly unfriendly for users Supposedly Im able to manage my account but who knows where that account is Spent an hour trying to find it on both iPad and laptop and the nontablet website is just as unhelpful Even searching for it specifically drew a blank For something that seems to be so well done this is a MAJOR flaw that needs to be attended to immediately     Hard to Unsubscribe
Ok I guess        Ok
My daughter loves this She spontaneously opens the app all the time and favors the spelling game Its educational without ever losing its entertaining play                 Engaging and educational fun
