I bought this app that in the past worked well The last version is terrible concerning the time to start working sometimes more than 15 minutes Checked the web site and they recommend to unlock the roaming data that costs me 10day Terrible experience     Takes so long to start working

The apps page says map coverage includes IC but there is no coverage of Iceland at all I feel cheated The new 111 version STILL dosent have the IC coverage claimed on the app page in itunes Why is Apple allowing tomtom to lie about its app On a good note though I do love the downloadable star wars voices and the app runs fine in Sweden     IC coverage is missing

I wont bore you with my GPS rental nightmare but to say I was paying 500euro for a two month rental when I discovered this app Not only is it easy and convenient but cheap The features accuracy and extras make me smile Thank you tomtom                 Incredible

From a loyal TomTom user this update is a bad idea Asking for deleting 4GB data means you have to really change your iPhones content After finally succeeding I am getting sudden system breakdown not able to start TomTom again in the middle of a trip in a foreign country It does not seem to be a version ready for the market Warning     Worst Update ever

33 Russian coverage up to Urals is completely misleading statement Quite few streets are even on Moscow map Other cities are just dots on the map iGO would be much better solution for those who want to use iphone for turnbyturn navigation in Russia     Russia coverage is very poor

Tom Tom Europe is claimed to cover 33 of Russia up to the Ural Mountains In fact it has about 1015 streets in Moscow out of about 6000 Having paid 120 I ended up with a product useless for most of what I wanted to do Wouldnt go anywhere near Tom Tom again thank you     Map Coverage Description UNTRUE

essential app if you need to navigate using offline maps eg roaming in Europe Downside navigation gets terribly confused by roundabouts I learned that is was best to just stop somewhere until it recovers sometimes ridiculous directions leftrightrightleft instead of straight ahead very difficult to browse the map and it is littered with gas station icons no way to zoom out to predict what happens next but all in all especially when youre driving alone it is a helpful app           you get there eventually

I have used this app to drive from the Netherlands to Belgium and Luxembourg and while driving in some parts of Germany Overall a great app that is much more helpful than the integrated GPS with outdated graphics in my 2010 Mercedes C Class The lane guidance system and speed limit indicators are particularly helpful Some problems though It can be somewhat cumbersome to adjust the volume such that I had driven a significant distance in Germany without any spoken directions The speed limit indicator is also wildly inaccurate along portions of the highway between Schiphol airport and The Hague in the Netherlands clearly conflicting with the signposted speed limits Ive also experienced the GPS being confused between the highway I was currently driving on and the interchange below the highway such that I was being asked to make a Uturn on the highway              Overall a great app cons sometimes inaccurate speed limit is shown and unable to fix location

The description of the maps included mentions IC which is a code for Iceland However after purchasing the App I discovered there are no maps for Iceland included Purchase a competitor     No map of Iceland

Buy App preparation for the trip to Europe A few days trying to navigation Lithuania and noticed the following shortcomings 1 Lithuanian language is impossible to understand 2 Driving speed of 10 km below shows the cars speedometer 3 Map at least in Lithuania is a further 2 years ago 4 Speed radars do not bear the total 5 139 for TomTom Europe and 119 for TomTom car kit the price is high and want to buy a good thing 6 Addition to the above mentioned shortcomings is a convenient navigation           Tom Tom Europe needs a serious update

Recently traveled all over Europe Poland Croatia Austria Germany and more it works fantastic Im really happy with it I would be stock without it like other travelers that stopped me for directions works without any issues and in some countries shows u speed traps awesome Get this and leave your map at home                 Wonderful the best stand alone gps for iPhone 4 while in europe

A couple years ago I bought the older version of this app for the same reason most of the reviewers did I was hoping the current version would be fixed NO I bought the TomTom Europe Map for England and Spain so I dont have to use Data while navigating site on foot TomTom did fix the heat and battery consumption problem The rest is just as bad Im not sure how hard it is for TomTom to get it right You will certainly not get a google map or apple map experience where they are intuitive The following are the problems with the TomTom app 1 The app takes up about 2GB of space on you phone 2 The map visually looks like a five year old made it the street names disappear when you most need it 3 The street name vanishes when you zoom in 4 The refresh rate when moving the map is very slow and i cant understand it since all the map info is already in the phones memory 5 ALL the customization functions are extremely difficult to find ie change from car nav to walk nav searching POIs to nav to deleting or adding POIs on map selecting auto zoom or not 6 the directional pointer does not use the compass in the phone so youll have to move a couple meters to see the direction pointer to know your heading direction 7 Also make sure you turn on location service in settings the is not made clear only the nav position pointer does not move when location service is off you would think a simple popup message would tell you this 8 when you simply want to just view map and then return to current position it is not possible with just a one button on the screen like google map or apple map this is the worst part Anyway buy at your own risk I just flushed 59 bucks down the toilet     Do Not Buy This App

I bought this map and went to Spain found that many sections of the map were incorrect I kept getting guided in circles not fun after 6 hours of drive and a toddler complaining Also even though I chose the fastest option I was guided via slowest path through mountains not pleasant when you want to get to your destination quickly No map updates available I will not recommend this software unless you are in a desperate need Look for other substitute        TOMTOM EUROPE

It is so dishonest to say Europe but it does not cover Russia at all only main highways It will not work even in Moscow it is actually a Capital Probably this guys from TomTom think there is nothing interesting in Russia so they dont need any maps waisted 100 for nothing There is no coverage for Ukraine either Shame people     Russia is half of Europe

Had good experience in CZ and Austria Proved unreliable in Portugal Latest update steered us into parking lots and construction zones several times Had to buy a good map to be sure On eg complex roundabouts or intersections the app can be slow to update graphics or send you to a wrong turn then change its mind after you turn Again this was Portugal In general its enough and good value for price           Semireliable can be slow but good price

Absolutely disappointed in this app Not updated gives you wrong info and direction Seep limit is wrong also and I got speeding ticket thanx to it     Very bad app

Purchased for trip to Greece No coverage in Greece need to get special app for Tom Tom Greece 100 down the toilet Used iPhone maps instead which worked great Fraud     No coverage in Greece

This map app is terrible Yes it does give traffic directions but if there is a road block accident it does not handle it very well There is no way to get rid of gas stations in browse mode and the map itself cannot be browsed when the navigation is active You have to switch to browse mode All in all the interface looks about 10 years old and after purchasing traffic info the app keeps constant update of traffic info many times complaining about bad GPS signal I have not detected how I can turn traffic info off since it does not provide any valuable info about traffic The designer should go and look at Tesla navigation     Designers and programmers asleep at the wheel

Unable to update the map     Map share update is not working

I tried free systems but all of them need internet connection I travel a lot in Europe and I dont want to pay insane ammounts of dataroaming This one can be used without internet and it works best I gifted my hardware GPS to a family member and use only this now The only negative thing is the graphic This software is ugly as hell and it is too expensive I went to the US for six days and I rather jailbroken my device to download tomtom for the US I bought the European version because I will use it for a long time                 Best

I bought this app after hearing about it on MacBreak Weekly with the idea of saving Data Roaming charges on a trip to Spain I specifically bought it because it was supposedly useful for WALKING ROUTES as well as driving 9 out of 10 times in Barcelona and Sitges Spain the routes it suggested were about 50 longer than they should have been Maybe its ok for driving but if you want to buy something to use as a tourist in Europe at least in our experience DONT BUY THIS     Utter waste of money

If my iPhone is set to English I can only use the English Advanced Voices not the Dutch advanced voice Ie you can only use the Advanced Voice for the language which your phone is set to But I can use all the Basic voices all the time Please fix this what a stupid restriction     Cant Use Other Language Advanced Voices

Compared to NavFree Magelan Google Garmin TomTom holds it own Works flawless on my Ipad and Iphone 4 If you need to get there use TomTom                 Only Professional Nav App on iOs

I have used many dedicated GPS units and then I got this app I lived in the UK for two years and made a driving trip to Paris using this App and it works as well as the GPS dedicated GPS units Pros full maps doesnt need cellular data you can still use it if you dont have cell service regular updates Cons price have lost signal a few times There have been times when this app did put me exactly at the address I imputed but every time the correct address was within a block of where I was Bottom Line If you have an IPhone and want a GPS save yourself the extra expense of buying a 250 GPS unit and just get this app                 Works as it supposed to

This app is really useful when no Internet connection is available                 An excellent navigation app

Why Google search is missing It was the best TomTom feature Once again I need 5GB free space to install the update Why           Could be better

Google Maps App works way better than this app Wrong direction for a couple of minutes than request to make a Uturn Google Maps at the same time was working correct We tried with both apps on the same iPhone 4 at the same time and on two different iPhone 4 both times disappointing iPhone 4 was working on iOS 601 Not worth to buy     Works worse than free apps Wish I could get money back
