Ive been dismissed for echoes I did however finally hear what it sounds like when I was on my computer and another person was using the app It really is awful sounding I may try and see if a Bluetooth headset works better because it is a very convenient app and Im sick of dragging my computer everywhere when I have a session scheduled I also wish there were more sessions during the evenings        Echo Yes Its awful

I am a strong proponent of the Rosetta Stone system and have made great progress learning Italian I was quite happy to get this appbut initially had only been able to establish a couple of sessions The main problem was that the coaches complained that I am not using a headset when I wasearbuds to be exact with the remote mic and that there is an echo being caused by my participation Most of the technical support help tells me to turn down the volume but as far as I can tell you can not turn down the output The studio sessions are great but I was greatly frustrated that I could not use my iPad for this app when travelling 20 days or more a month for to keep my studio sessions going UPDATE After finding the well hidden Rosetta Stone blog I discovered that they recommend using earbuds or similiar headset WITHOUT a remote mic Use the earbuds to listen but use the iPad built in mic to talk I did this and it worked great Now Id recommend this app my first review was a 1                 Simple Fix Now Awesome

I love being able to do my studio sessions on my iPad It is mostly functional but the chat function doesnt work properly you can open and see chat messages but you cant type anything because the keyboard never comes up Thats fine most of the time but quite irritating when you or your instructor need technical support           Good idea needs bugs fixed

This app is ONLY for participating in previously scheduled sessions You cannot schedule a session via the app or do course work Get the COURSe app for course work           ONLY for Participating in Sessions

Please make the change this app to allow users to schedule studio sessions Also it would be nice to have a Rosetta World app with games and chat Just had my first studio session and it went great BUT make sure you have ear buds for session or you will be sen out of room until you plug headphones in and they dont have to have microphone              Schedule Studio Sessions

Rosetta Stone is inexpensive compared to college classes you could take at a university It provides excellent language education and their companion iOS apps make learning your new language even more fun This application is a COMPANION application to their Rosetta Stone online service which is an additional feature to their standard TOTALe service For less than 10 a month you can get almost 11 time with native speakers practicing your language from the convenience of your iPad That makes this application and its premium for fee service worth every penny Rosetta Stone works you need to try it before you ignorantly go and give a bad review just because it costs money Professional language translators expect payment unless you want to donate all of your time to giving lessons for them                 Stellar Program Addition

This app should get 4 or 5 stars However there is one intractable problem Every single session I do the instructor hears an echo and asks me if Im wearing headphones When I say yes they transfer me to techsupport who asks me if Im wearing headphones Again I say yes this happens every single time They asked me if my headphones are Apple compatible I say yes They are the actual headphones from Apple I have no other problem with these headphones are using Skype or face time They eventually give up and send me back to the instructor who tolerates the echo Then they send me an email with the report telling me to get Apple compatible headphones Ive told them that is the app but they ignore me From the other reviews I know that this is not just my problem I dont understand why they wont fix it     Constant Echo Problem

If you have found a way to make a USB headset function with your iPad this app will be a wonderful compliment to your Rosetta Stone language learning Unfortunately if you use the Apple earbuds with this app microphone attached to same cord it creates awful feedback for everyone else in your session except you You can mitigate this by muting yourself in the app until youre supposed to talk but it can be incredibly distracting to the other learners in the session If you really want to enjoy the session experience use a laptop or desktop computer with a USB headset        Be forewarned micd earbuds horrible echo for everyone but you in your sessions

This app is a waste of time and effort Tutoring sessions are not offered often so it is also lost opportunity when this app fails as badly as it does Fix it If I could I would give it no stars     Rosetta Stone can do better than this

Just another way to keep paying for the same Just so it is clear Rosetta Stone only gives you access to this software if you actually own the desktop software But it gets better They would like for you to pay again This time they will call it online access and wrap it up as an ipad app Keep in mind that you can only acces their garbage if you already own the desktop application So they double dip to your wallet without any shame     Garbage

Unfortunately the reviews here are not quite accurate I have owned Rosetta Stone for over a year and a half now can speak Spanish with my business partners and friends This app is only for use for people who own Rosetta Stone and who subscribe to the online courses within the program The app works flawlessly over the iPad on my end however there may be some technical issues on the other end because other online students hear an echo during the class while the iPad is in use Overall Im very happy to see this application and I look forward to improvements If you have Rosetta Stone online course access this is app is a invaluable supplement THANK YOU                 Excellent program thank you

I have been using this app for months on my iPad4 But now that I have upgraded to the new iOS 82 software the app is pretty much useless I have always had my headset plugged into my apple lightning port adapter on the iPad so there would be no echo issue It has always worked flawlessly Now my studio sessions do not work I can hear the instructor and hear the rest of the people attending the session but they cannot hear methen it keeps switching off my headset and causes the echo ultimately resulting in me being muted and not part of the session I cant lug my computer around to attend these sessions so guess I have no use for this app until it is fixed So frustrating     iOS 82 makes app useless for iPad

This is a broken useless app I wasted my tutoring session because it didnt work If you pay hundreds of dollars for Rosetta Stone it better work     Completely broken

The Totale online version of language study is a wonderful way to learn a new language Please note THIS IS NOT PART OF THE CDs it is a separate course of study Im tired of people complaining they buy the CDs then have to pay extra for Totale Totale is separate and online only Now you can connect to the course work and LIVE tutoring sessions with your iPad Totale is 20 a month with a 12 month subscription Ive had a blast learning Swedish this past 6 months Request a free demo CD or download the free demo online They are great Oh and no I dont work for the company                 Totale is amazing

The Rosetta Stone software now has a great feature where you get live classes with a language coach to practice your newly acquired language skills With this application I can log in with my Rosetta Stone account and take these fun class session anywhere I have a wifi or 3G connection with my iPad Sound quality for the application seems to be much better when I use my apple headset and microphone I really like the interactive slides and enjoy the friendly studio coaches I have met along my road to learning Spanish This app is a MUST have if you are a Rosetta Stone Customer Adiós                 Studio for iPad is a fun new way to use Rosetta Studio

This app is worthless I use it with the Apple earbuds I can hear the instructor fine but Ive now tried three different sessions all with different high speed connections and all three instructors said I echoed When I use my laptop the echo is not there     iPad app has echoing problems

Inability to schedule the Studio sessions from this app makes it user unfriendly One can only use this app if the studio session is already scheduled from the desktop computer the totale course app for ipad does not have the ability to schedule studio sessions either Does anyone else find it user unfriendly     User unfriendly

Rosetta Stone is a wellcrafted and enjoyable study aid to use as a complement to learning a foreign language But instead of explaining the correct grammar to use along with the pictures they leave you guessing That makes it the biggest drawback to really learning a language especially in the French language where feminine and masculine factors can change everything if used incorrectly It makes learning that much more difficult unless a person only wants to learn entire sentences and try to recall them when using the language If that information were included it would make their program perfect in my opinion Having prior education in the language in which Im hoping to become more fluent has been of benefit otherwise I would have to rely on visual learning only Thankfully there are iBooks and other Apps available to bridge the gap           Rosetta Stone TotalE App

I have used both the computer and the iPad app for conducting the online Rosetta Stone Studio sessions Even using the USB headset I received with the purchase of Rosetta Stone I find the sound quality and speed of this application to be superior to the computer version The video of the online instructor is crystal clear and the sound is quite remarkable The app is quick to respond and has yet to crash during online sessions It is advisable to use the earbuds and microphone during sessions as it keeps ambient noise from disrupting the sessions This is an excellent tool and makes Rosetta Stone an even better product              Works as advertised

I bought levels 12 of German and used the six months of free online access Its very nice But right now Im having problems and RS live chat very polite people tells me I must renew my subscription BEFORE they can help me Thats backwards Iamalsoinvreasingly disappointed in RS decision to charge for Totale access Cloud sharing is pretty ubiquitous and go en the price of the main software I think RS is listening too much to accountants and not enough to its users     Its all about the money
