Update Apps works again and it s full of features I m hesitant to give the full 5 stars with love 10 on the horizon Dropping out of supporting the app for so long was a big red flag from this developer but things are looking good now I ll check back and happily give the full 5 in a few months Fingers crossed Bottom line touchable does not work with Mac OS X Yosemite You know the current version of Mac OS the one installed on all new Mac computers This app was the bomb back when I could use it It truly is the best app for controlling Ableton Live via the iPad I ve invested over 50 for the app itself and the templates That s 50 for something I cannot use Yay No response from the developers no one in the forums knows anything Guess I m moving over to Lemur or Conductr It s a shame really                 Back online Funk Justice

Spend about 50 and turn your iPad into a touchscreen Push style controller Talk about a no brainer This is one of those instances where you can waste a lot of money on other apps that theoretically do the same thing for less cash except that they re needlessly complicated inefficient laggy and come with all kinds of hidden costs I should know I did the dumb thing and bought them all and none of the rest hold a candle to touchAble The UI covers everything go into it knowing you re going to buy the expansion and its super easy to get around in I particularly Love being able to connect via USB which makes it super stable with minimal latency Basically this app just made my iPad a relevant part of my studio workflow making it a simply phenomenal investment                     Push for the iPad Pedeclaudo

The set up might be a little bit of a challenge for some particularly to ppl who are new to digital audio production but it does work and worth it if you don t give up on installing the server software I recommend always making sure you are always up to date on the sever software too when ever there s an update to Touchable This is a great remote for Ableton you can pretty much do anything when working with clips It doesn t really work in the timeline mode or rather it s designed launch clips and create in clip mode you can add instruments fx record audio and midi mix perform and do a ton of stuff but again this app is designed to work in clip mode so don t expect it to control every aspect of Ableton                     Great app a must have 4 Ableton users Strizbiz

I purchased this product 20 minutes ago along with the Live Template Pack for an additional 14 99 The website it points you to for the download of the Template pack is non existent making the app totally useless I tried to submit a refund through iTunes and received a message stating these products are not eligible for a refund Again do not waste your money This is a rip off     Do not purchase Earle Holder

I ve used this app regularly for the last couple of years and it s become a mainstay of my production work in Ableton Live It packs an awful lot of features and it s become increasingly reliable I think Touchable and Lemur are the two most useful iOS apps for working with Ableton I only wish Touchable had a more thorough PDF guide to help figuring out what each feature and button does                     Awesome tool IanPjames

If you are going to sell a dedicated app then you need to keep up with the software and this app doesn t With every Ableton Live update there comes a host of touchAble issues that they take their sweet time to address 9 6 1 has some critical Live updates especially on the MIDI cpu fix but if you want to be able to use touchAble you likely won t be able to update til months later I understand it likely puts a strain on the developer but when you choose to create and sell a 20 dedicated controller app you need to keep it current TouchAble is looking more and more like a quick cash grab and less like a functional product and that s too bad because it was a great idea when it started     If and when it works it s ok Zizardianly

Getting into producing music on Ableton Live I realized that a specialized midi controller for Ableton would really help out However both the Novation Launchpad and the Ableton Push past 100 and it really did not make sense to me to invest so much money into a hobby However after reading about touchAble I decided to take a shot and boy is this a great app I can control almost everything in Ableton through a touch screen and the layout makes alot of sense after you watch the tutorials on their website The only suggestions I have would be to update some tutorials you guys have e g adding Macro Controls for VST s and also adding a way to map to VST knobs and buttons permanently for example if I am using Massive I have to specifically put it in a instrument group and then add it specifically to the first midi lane If I put it in the second lane this would no longer work                     No need for Ableton Push ajlee1116

The developer updated the touchAble script with bug fixes and Live 9 5 compatibility The script now installs correctly and the device browser is working again This is a pretty insane app If you have a hard time getting your head around it I highly suggest watching the videos on the touchAble site I ve been a Live user for a lot of years now but I couldn t quite get my head around how the touchAble layout worked Watching the videos was definitely a holy moment for me Super smart person people behind this app Happy to give it 5 stars again                     Updated for 9 5 Jimmy Smutek

The app definitely works for me I m using a mid 2014 MBP iPad 2 with iOS9 and Live 9 5 Unfortunately the app does not seem to be maintained The developers seem to be completely absent from the help forums where questions from as far back as September are unanswered I also had to do some digging to get the app running again In my case I had to manually copy the scripts from the touchable apron my mac to the Ableton app by right clicking on each and showing package contents Once I did this I was able to get the iPad app to connect I eventually found this solution on the forums posted by another user The mac app which is essential to connect the iPad app to Ableton gives no indication that it is running when you launch it It very much appears to be broken If you look in your macs menu bar you ll see an icon which when clicked will give you the ability to install the scripts to Ableton It s completely understandable that people are missing this because this procedure isn t documented very well and again the developer appears to be MIA All told if you can get it running it is actually pretty cool Everything works as advertised as far as I can tell with the one notable exception being the browser which does not work at all To be honest I think if problem solving is not your strength and you re not the most technically adept person then you might want to consider giving this one a pass or waiting until the developer gets things sorted which by the way has an eta of hopefully soon according to the developers Twitter feed I also think that if the developer doesn t have the time to maintain the app he should consider open sourcing it or selling it             Not completely broken but not actively maintained Jimmy Smutek

I can t even begin to explain the power of this app I have a relatively old iPad 4th gen and this app runs better than iOS ZERO latency Butter smooth The best thing about this app imo is that it helps take the theory out of music There are so many options to set a scale whether in the keyboard mode or the midi editor which saves so much time when trying to write ideas down quickly for those who don t know theory extremely well I ll be using this app for every song I write from now on It s that great                     So much quality Ryan Poore

After a hiccup dealing with itunes and such this works perfect With 16 years producing electronic music and everything digital nowadays the ability to have more hands on control takes me back to my comfort zone Now running live 9 and controlling it with a cheap ipad2 running this i have an ipad air running nearly every other ios synth using midi over wifi as external synths along with maschine and a 49 key controller Makes for a nice setup that still coats less then launchpad or push with better options and control                     Best Investment Joey Aircrew

There are serious problems with the new server for touchable3 be warned if you update your iOS after installing and running touchable3 you will brick your iPad unless you first use Terminal to kill the server on the Mac and then remove the executable Support is MIA and the forums on the website are full of users trying to get help from the absent developer who appears to be busy on another project It s very cool stuff IF it works which for many people it doesn t Supposedly there is an update on the way but it s been months with almost no signs of life Wait until they fix it before you buy     Touchable 3 is a trainwreck NFTS

There are some minor features that I wish were included but this app is awesome Once you understand the flow you ll start flying through settings I do wish there was some feedback in the EQ8 and spectrum analyzer and other ableton plugins But that s what updates are for right This app directly competes with and beats most ableton hardware controllers                     My iPad is relevant again Mdfd77
