No way to start a new page for code no guidance for importing text files Needs a help screen or at least a read me file     Nothing there

NOTE If youre confused about what this program does and doesnt do scroll to the end of my review Okay my review title is harsh since implementing a PostScript interpreter while straightforward is nontrivial My issues arent with the interpreter though but with the skin surrounding it the Edit textarea is initially whiteonwhite After hitting the return key it changes to blackonwhite and seems to stay there While you can hit other keys before return and they are correctly captured only the return key does the magic the play ie run script button doesnt give any visual feedback when youve pressed it If your script has no visible output or doesnt clear the graphics context you might not know whether or not it actually ran the list of scripts seems flaky I selected a sample script which had a stack underflow A then returned to the list of scripts and selected another B The editor put me back into script A as far as I can tell I went back and selected script A and ended up in script B I think It was a few minutes ago and I didnt take notes On the other hand it does actually interpret and render PostScript programs or at least snippets I havent tried anything large I paid the two bucks because I was curious Knowing what I know Id probably pay it again just to let the author know that Id like to see where this goes If youre interested in stackbased programming languages whats behind PostScript and therefore PDF documents and viewers then do the same Throw two bucks coffee or soda money at the author to say hey treat yourself to that hardcopy of the PLRM Youve earned it D And now This is not a PostScript file viewer The current app description doesnt claim that at all It might not be as clear as it could be but doesnt do what it claims is an unfounded and unfair statement since it DOES do EXACTLY what it claims It is an interpreter for the PostScript programming language including a visible canvas for PostScript programs graphical output It isnt a doc viewer converter or any other such thing From the screenshot alone that should be evident At the very least the screenshot should suggest to you that were it a viewer it would have a pretty abysmal UI especially for two bucks Back to the rest of you Go ahead and grab it Sit down with your big red PLRM or your skinny green PostScript Language Program Design book and just play Give it a few stars write an encouraging if critical review and help get and keep more cool educational CS and software engineering material like this on the platform              A for idea B for effort D for implementation

I was under impression that this app would allow me to open a postscript document on ipad I was greatly mistaken it doesnt Dont repeat my mistake and dont spend your money on something that claims to be not what it is There are no refunds here even for useless apps     Not what it claims

Its nice to have a postscript interpreter on the go even though it certainly cant render full documents Ive used it to debug postscript sub routines when Im stuck places It would be nice if it supported document interaction though so clicking on a ps or txt File in Dropbox or safari would give me the option of sending it to this app It would also be nice if it would render multi page docs to multi layer gifs just kinda nice Places and              Useful and worth the priceif your a postscript junky
