It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.8 has been released on 2014-11-11. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. The stories really capture the imagination of children and there are tons to pick from on any topic you can think of For those not happy with the standard pricing I suggest looking at the Playtales Gold app as it offers an annual subscription model The only difference is that after a year you lose access to your stories until you renew My only concern is how slow the books load It used to be super fast but now even with my upgraded internet speed it takes minutes Not sure if this is a bug but I am experiencing this on multiple devices             Entertaining but pricey GREEK 2U

As everyone else did we downloaded this for our kids Obviously we were caught off guard by the amount of each in app purchase It s a bit excessive for the lower priced ones but completely ridiculous for the rest of them Maybe it wouldn t seem like such a rip off if you were upfront about the cost like just have an all inclusive buy option without the shady type business     Disappointed Chuck1573

My kids and I found this book pretty good but we saw a review on Sassy s Easter Adventure and Little Faces of Halloween and they loved them because they were more interactive and had several games and coloring book                 Ok I guess DDmw1

I was over my head with the good night story It was to much for me to make dinner prepare clothes run around my 3 kids to convince them to brush their teeths The brutal part was when I had to find a book to read that please them all The older one wanted knights the others wanted fairyqueens I escaped from this activity when I bought two iPads that read the books by itself with the help of this great app                     Wow Mirka Alexander

My 14 months old and 6 year old equally love this app We also downloaded it on our iPad Wish there was a way to have the books I downloaded and paid for appear on both devices We lost a few books with the crashes but the crashing has stopped with the most recent updates Thanks would recommend this app to everyone with children                     Great program Mbs118

We have had Playtales for almost a year and my 3 year old loves it Never had an issue with freezing or lost books It s a great way to spark a preschoolers interest in independent reading and reinforces our focus on learning The variety of titles is great and it s a live saver when we are on the go A home run all around                     Love it Modernworld77

I recently upgraded to a newer iPhone and discovered all my purchased books were gone I contact their customer support and they basically told me that because they didn t have a record of my current device downloading books they were gone forever Beware only use it for the free stuff     Lost all my books Lost and broke
