Easy to control router Perfect App

Totally worthless for me Tried to connect to a router this supposedly supports multiple times with no dice Cant connect

After update it says my router is not compatible Used it previously after updating firmware If you also check the help within the app it does not list the C8 as a compatible model even though it is listed in the App Store UPDATE BREAKS COMPATIBILITY C8

Total junk Doesnt work

The app works well for basic features but you will still need to access the intranet website to edit any advanced features such as port forwarding etc I wish the intranet site would sync the device names that you flag in the iOS app as that would be extremely convenient Works well for basic features

This app is not for tethering your iPhone It is for managing your wireless TP Link routers Works well in this regard Limited functionality compared to admin panel of the router but provides quick access to some key features like rebooting the router or blocking a device Good functionality for TP Link routers

Doesnt recognize username and password on C9 from one time to the next Have to reset password on modem every time to get it to recognize them I see others on the website forum complaining of same issue Unreliable useless Password Recognition Issues

Tells you basic info but would be great if you could see what device is using how much bandwidth and if the network maps showed at a glance what device is connected to 5 vs 24 ghz now they are all jumbled together Nominally useful

I bought an archer C7 and like the 1 star reviews the app didnt find the router out of the box As the description of the app says you need to go download the latest firmware version from tplinks website Make sure to select the right version of routerfor example I have the archer c7 version 2 its on on of the bar codes of the box After updating the firmware the app found the router and has all the options that I wanted Its quite useful Remember to update your firmware

Archer C8 with latest firmware Gives error message that not connected to supported router Website claims my router supported DOES NOT WORK

I bought my Archer C9 for 3 reasons 1 Price 2 Performance 3 This App Having immediate and easy access to my routers backend is a godsend The features it does offer are enough for my daily needs though I would like to request to work in all of the more advanced features only available via online browser Still This app kicks serious butt and Im not aware of too many other apps out there that integrate this flawlessly with your router Just what I needed Perfect Just needs access to more features

Great app but settings are incomplete For most advanced settings I still need to go to web page Incomplete features

I can keep track of connected devices and perform some useful functions If yours isnt linking dont forget to update Rooter Firmware Functions as advertised

Works well with router and it is able to pick up what devices you are connected in the home network my router required an update for the tether application to work with the iOS phone and so far I havent ran into issues as far as I can tell Only I see that theres not enough features to manage or change settings on the routers like virtual servers and different advanced settings and doesnt give you an option to send you notifications on whos online or not and I like to see if you can use tether app on the go with 4G limited to just Wifi Works with C20I router

This is a nice little app I love being able to kick the kids off the Internet from my phone Useful App

To use this app you need to update the firmware The app does not have incredible features but is useful for what it does Does what it says

This last update killed C7 maybe others functionality Worked like a charm until then Now o receive the this device is not supported error when trying to login to app C7 no longer supported

This is a great little app for basic network analysis and quick access to turn onoff guest networks if you need a more versatile tool try Network Ping I use both Since the network passwords are displayed in plain text inside the app they really should incorporate PIN protection in the future Solid Network Tool

I love using this app to be able to manage my wireless devices connected to my Wifi Although I wish it had so more of the advanced features that are located on the routers webpage that you access via the IP on your network Other then that its great Great App

I really liked this app when I first downloaded it Set up my router out of the box Was able to do everything perfectly Then the next day it keeps telling me that my router is not supported Worked great and then my router wasnt supported

One reviewer seems very confused about the definition of the word tethering Your iPhone does indeed tether or connect to the router allowing you to monitor it More functionality and a UI refresh would inspire me to give it a 55 stars Until then its 45 Does EXACTLY what it says it does

This is a useless app it gives no functionality It is an FYi only app Missing MAC filtering

The app details say the Archer C5 is supported but when I login in the app it says its not C5 is NOT supported

Well the ease of use is great but using this app other than seeing whos connected to your router it falls short Admin APP

This is a convenient app to check if any devices are piggybacking on your network and to administer the router however its only showing half my devices It seems to max out at 8 devices including the iPhone while I have 13 on my client list Handy yet half done

Upgraded the firmware on my new C7 then installed this app connects without any problem I can see all of my connected devices Wish it works with range extender though Works well with C7

The previous version of the app worked with my Archer C8 but the update broke my ability to login to my router The apps password field is limited to less characters than the router can support for the password making it impossible to login if you have a longsecure password for your administrator account Update brakes comparability

First step is upgrade firmware for router Download firmware at TPLINK site Their directions are clear and easy to understand Remember to backup router settings After firmware upgrade use default login to open routers web management Restore router settings Install Tether on iPhone6 and boom it works Upgrade firmware first Then connect with Tether

Tethering means using the Internet your phone connects to like 4G When you load up this app it asks you to connect to an Internet so you can connect your laptop or whatever This is is useless This isnt tethering

The only thing thats giving this app 3 stars is the fact that it shows a network map so one can see if neighbors are on ones wifi Other than that its easier to get on computer to change settings Never know when neighbors will ask kids what the wifi password is and then the whole neighborhood is killing bandwidth Especially when power remains on the recommended high settingthis router will send signal about 2 football fields on that setting Few features
