Traditional Chinese

I bought it because it is one of the very few apps on traditional Chinese It contains a list of characters that can be viewed one at a time It shows the brush stroke animation with the pronunciation On the bottom of the screen it looks like some English definitions in brackets for the character Occasionally it shows a few other characters both traditional and so called simplified but for no particular reason It looks like it has not been updated for over 2 years It has a search function but it crashes the app if it cannot find it or it searches the definition part without a list view for matches or filtering T he character list is strange It includes many rarely used characters while excluding common ones eg family week The last half dozen or so characters are actually simplified ones not traditional Such glaring errors have not been fixed The characters also seem to be arbitrarily ordered with no grouping by meaning or by shape It offers no convenient way to practice either writing or making compound words I was originally hoping to find an app that my children could play with and learn at the same time and I refuse to teach them socalled simplified characters but this app clearly is not what I was looking for and I would not really recommend it for anything other than perhaps amusement of watching animated strokes     Abandoned effort
