Trek Nepal

I love this app It was absolutely brilliant when we were planning our last trip to Nepal Excellent functionality and just made planning our everest base camp trek super easy                 Fantastic app for planning Nepal trek

A little quirky On first time through it seems to have lots of good information nothing that anyone planning a serious trek in this region wouldnt have ascertained on their own prior to leaving for Nepal but its a good starting point The maps are Internet based from Google wont update in airplane mode so unless you have an expensive international data roaming plan you wont be using this app while in Nepal Maybe a downloadable savable map file would improve functionality Also I followed a link to more info in the TREK section and ended up in a google search page that I couldnt return to the TREK section from still cant           Everest Seeker

This app is exceptionally expensive for what it offers the user There are a few preprogrammed trek routes into the app but the userinterface does not allow any upload of personal treks made or photos Im not sure if the preloaded photos are from the developers trips but there is no way for the user to add photos In addition there is nothing to include the Humla district or other western regions and thus it is seriously lacking It is a nice format and for that I gave it 2 stars but I really wish I had my money back as this was a waste The forum is a nice idea exempt that it is completely empty with no other users logging entries Im hopeful that the developer will at least try and get some maps uploaded of different regions perhaps with GPS overlay interface so the user can get a sense of location and then perhaps engage in social networking forums as the app seems to point that directionin any case buyer beware until this app gets better        interesting concept needs work NOT WORTH THE MONEYyet
