Trine2 like Trine is a pretty platformer This can be fairly fun much more fun when playing with friends huddled around a TV doesn t work quite as well on a computer In any case platformers are simply out of their league compared to modern games Compare this to any modern realtime strategy first person shooter role playing game or turn based strategy and you ll see that it just doesn t have the sort of content that can let it compete This would have been a great game in the late 80s or 90s but in 2016 it s badly outclassed             A pretty platform but out of its league with modern games Asp217

I haven t completed the game yet but I absolutely love it I bought it for just a few dollars and it was definitely worth it I ve been playing it instead of WAY more expensive video games The graphics stand out above any other game and are incredibly detailed and beautiful You can tell that a lot of time and effort went in to prefecting the visuals and the way that they interact with the characters and their abilities Which leads me to the point that the puzzle solving in this game is amazing It s set up in a way that most puzzles can be solved in a myriad of different ways because you are actually interacting with the environment rather than trying to guess the one path that the programmers wanted you to take It s fantastic and I would reccoment it to everyone D                     Fantastic Graphics and Gameplay JessyVarvil

This is the first Trine game I play Like it There are in total 13 episodes hope there could be more The difficulty keeps increasing In the last 2 3 episodes there are a lot of difficult jumps requring delicate timing skill Feels a little exhaustic when playing these episodes Also when playing the wizard there are too much angle control needed for the objects he created does not like that part The storyline is simple and typical Funny thing is the heros are summoned to save their own kingdom but the whole story is a sideline which has nothing to do with their kingdom LOL             very fun a little hard to control mjmk03

This game is so much fun I m not a gamer per se and even I can t stop playing It s even more fun to play in co op with my friends A word regarding some reviewers who say that this game is to graphics intensive for their machines I am running this on an somewhat old ish Mac mini with a crappy onboard Intel 3000 graphics chip and this game runs smooth as butter with all the graphical bells and whistles enabled Granted I can t run it at a full 2560x1440 but at a reasonable 1600x900 I don t see a single dropped frame So I don t know what they re running on the side but this game runs smooth enough to be REALLY enjoyable                     In one word Awesome HerrSchindler

I found the controls much harder than most platformers it probably works great with a 3 button mouse game controller but if you are on a mac book pro without a left mouse button its hard I thought the a d controls for left right and jumping were out of wack and could use a bit more tuning by the developer that was the first 20 minutes I am sure I will find more wrong with it             Controls are tough gameplay is awkward trendtonguy

This is a massive game with lot of hd graphics which my Mac book pro with i7 just can not handle Everytime this game starts mac gets heated up and evrything starts hanging This game does not even run smoothly on lowest of the graphic levels making it literally unplayable I had eagerly waited for Trine 2 after Trine 1 but I am not able to play it at all As much as I like Trine 1 because it is light weight and smooth I do not like Trine 2 because it is massive and consumes a lot of memory     Good game but burns my mac Riy8

This game runs so much better than the first in the series I had so many performance issues while playing the first Trine on a Macbook Air that I could not complete the game far from it actually I had to turn it off after a short while due to over heating But there are no such troubles here and this title has very well earned its Five Stars                     Much better than the first I eat flies

I have had a lot of fun with this game One control issue I had was with the right clicking On my Mac Book Pro my control click registered as only a regular click in the game However when I went to change the controls in the menu my control click did register as a right click to set a new control for the levitate shield grapple But then if I returned to the game I couldn t right click I did end up changing the command to just right control but that was a little bit annoying particularly for the grappling                 Good but problem with Right Click nathanathan1

Well my first time through the levels I too had some problems but nothing that eventually didn t reveal itself as my own inexperience with the game BTW if you do experience an issue and no one else does then it is probably an issue with your Mac setup and or equipment Anyway some things that you might consider taking into advisement are 1 Firing explosive arrows or using the hammer throw into areas where you cannot yet see in the distance to the right can destroy the enemy but may also do things like knock a valuable cable trolley off its cables which cannot be fixed without restarting the entire level At first I thought this was a glitch but it is not 2 If you want the ability to float on boxes then you must go to settings and enable that ability 3 Lots of computer memory and a really good graphics card are invaluable My ATI 4870 w 512 Mb works like a charm on my G5 early 2008 desktop 4 Be sure to carry things when possible from one level to another like pipe plugs caps large rectangular stones as they can often prove invaluable Some items can be carried 3 levels 5 I wasn t able to get an xbox 360 controller to work on my machine but was still able to finish all level configuring the keyboard settings and using an Apple laser mouse 6 BTW I am 65 years old and not the quickest player in the world with my hands but if your mentally sharp you can still win all levels Great Game with a well thought out design The price is excellent too Bravo                     Trine2 w Goblin Menace DOCTOR_MAX

I was torn giving this 4 stars because it was not what I hoped for from a sequel However this and the original game are really fun straight progression games The graphics are great The gameplay is great The price was ok Basically if you liked the first Trine you will definitely enjoy this but it will leave you wishing they had added something unique 4 stars under 10 3 stars over 10 If you can get it for less than 5 its a sure 5 star bet                 A decent sequel to a great game Sean from GA

Things I like about this game include the completely gorgeous and atmospheric graphics the ability to switch among three characters who have different abilities and can attain different upgrades the puzzles that are just challenging enough but not so hard that I m always having to check a walkthrough to get to next stage I really like that the same puzzle can often be solved in more than one way depending on which abilities you prefer to use NOTE I noticed one review was unable to get the controls to work You can fix this by reconfiguring the keyboard controls so that when you press the left hand command key without clicking mouse you get the same thing as a right click or whatever the default is Some Mac users only have a one click mouse like me You CAN change it although altering the settings is not the most intuitive process It is sometimes difficult to execute complex sequences of movements with the keyboard however I did get the hang of it but some players might want to completely change the keyboard command settings so they aren t playing Twister on the keyboard The only thing I didn t like about Trine 2 is this difficulty in doing things like rapidly switching directions mid jump or perfectly timed jumps to get past certain puzzles Fortunately there is often a different way to solve the puzzle so be creative                     Worth every penny Laurami

If you have any reservations about getting this game forget about them This game is a great puzzle solving side scroller with very nice graphics to boot I m a fan of computer games that make you think while playing instead of just running around shooting people although some fps games are fun as well and this is one of my favorites in that category Grab it while it s on sale or get it on steam when it s on sale there which is every couple of months Oh and get the goblin menace expansion it adds a good amount of gameplay although the final boss fight is somewhat aggravating in that it doesn t take much skill but just a lot of running away and shooting arrows                     Awesome game thecdp

I am trying to play this game on a fully maxed out 15 Retina MacBook Pro connected to my Thunderbolt display using the Tbolt display s native resolution 2560x1440 with all other setting set to their lowest values The mouse keyboard input lag is still very noticable and significant that it really hampers the gameplay So I don t think I ll be playing this game until the input lag is fixed or can be tweaked Two other annoyances include 1 the initial story screen has to be manually skipped when launching a saved game 2 The settings launcher has to be manually bypassed on every game launch Once the graphics settings have been tweaked it should not need to be re adjusted on every launch 3 The voiceover game audio is noticeably compressed 4 There should be machine specific presets on the graphics launcher screen e g autodetect optimal graphics settings based on reading settings from Mac             Major input lag even with all settings at their lowest PolloTec

One of the releases I ve been waiting for so eagerly I checked the AppStore practically every day to see if it was finally here The gameplay expands on the creative but never frustrating puzzle solving of the original by adding unique ways of interacting with the environment water plants that grow and allow you to reach otherwise inaccessible places arrange magic mirrors that serve as portals etc As in the first Trine the environments are pretty in a way that one might call kitsch if they were Thomas Kinkade paintings but that I ll call gorgeous in a computer game The scenery seems to stretch far into the horizon into beautiful sunsets moonlit night skies and emerald jungles and is filled with sounds and all sorts of moving things that make you forget that Trine 2 is still basically a sideways scroller few games offer so much eye candy and fun for such a good price However and this is an addendum after having played it partially I abandoned it beautiful as it is Why I got stuck Some areas are so tricky to traverse that only precise timing of your movements and jumps and I mean 100 precise timing not 99 will allow you to pass I came back numerous times and didn t make it through That s just a bit too much repetition for me and it ultimately caused me not to come back to what is visually and acoustically a gem If you don t mind succeeding or not only after trying dozens or maybe hundreds of times to jump from one bouncy leaf to the next and the next while fiery projectiles rain down on you go for it Otherwise Trine 2 may ultimately frustrate you             Finally However hlb
