Appears this app is no longer supported purchased the upgrade to PRO to remove ads but after purchase there is no way to get the PRO version to load update The restore purchase button does nothing Deleting and reinstalling does nothing App still works but now I have to go through the hassle of contacting iTunes to get my 2 99 purchase refunded Abandoned app Viceroy845

iPhone 7Plus iOS 10 3 3 This app has crashed briefly after selecting the camera icon to scan a document however I simply double clicked the home key went right back into it as it didn t actually shut down the app proceeded with no problem I ve had similar issues but honestly it hasn t been a big enough problem to deter me I find this app useful to send paper documents as electronic copies to other people businesses as PDF or JPG files I can scan via the app a photo taken in app select the corners of the doc so the app straightens it out to look normal rather than skewed bigger at one side than the other professional appearance Save as PDF or JPG edit the file name then send it via email print it upload to Dropbox or Evernote copy paste it or open as PDF in another app it appears to offer several of my iPhone s apps for this I have not tried to fax directly from the app however instructions in the Upload option say you can fax or print if you have a fax or print app like efax or HP ePrint Seems like other similar fax print apps may work then I am considering purchasing to remove ads now Useful Free aka with ads ScarletWolf<3
The search function doesn t even work Words that are clearly there won t show up on searches I bought the online version of a textbook unfortunately only came on kindle and it s absolute trash This applications loads incredibly slowly and when I search for things half of the time it doesn t even work I can copy a word from a page paste into the search box and it will say 0 results I m 100 sure I m not spelling the words wrong the search function is just broken I wish I could go back in time and not purchase the kindle version of the book because it s useless Broken search function womaxx

I wanted to scan a text block from a book not being too worried by page curvature then convert to text copy and paste into Scrivener DocScanner has been working great right out of the box Compared to my previous method of using Siri to read text into a document I m seeing far fewer errors and punctuation which was not happening via Siri is happening reliably now THANK YOU Scan convert copy paste YES Black-Coffee
It getss because it is free with ads It is a handy app to have in your device and does the job without hassle The OCR is fair for a free app too mind you with plenty or mistakes for you to correct later most OCR is soso when lighting photo original text quality print quality arent the best and you do lose formatting App icon is ugly so app will be forever demoted to the 2nd home screen nit picking settings allows you to delete all documents only I did not work for me you have to go in a delete manually Useful

do the trick It took me a good five minutes to understand how some options work but recognized the text without any major errors It saves the document in one big paragraph the formatting is lost but works correct OCR but no formatting

Using an iPad image came out decent but it didnt grab a SINGLE letter correctly much less a word OCR was beyond awful
As a music student this is wildly handy for scanning my purchased sheet music and having a digital copy Amazing for Musicians
I can get recipe books from the library and save the interesting ones onto this app totally free Every time I see something in print I want to save I can do it with this app But for recipes its really handy You just have to hold your in my case iPad still and focus if the photo isnt clear enough you can drop it and try again Everything is saved in black and white if I use a glass to hold down a books page and the corner of the glass gets into the photo it just saves as a bit of black and white nothing in the corner the recipe is clear as a bell If I want to find a recipe for ham I can put ham into the search engine at the top of my saved files and it brings up everything Ive used ham for in the title Im using this just about every day great app Handy and cool
