From the makers of critically-acclaimed "Project Phoenix" comes a new, exciting creation. "Ultraviolet Dawn" is a hybrid space-shooter/trading game with a completely open Universe comprising over 1,000 stars to explore. "Ultraviolet Dawn" is our most ...
This game could be awesome except 1 There may as well only be two systems they are all identical and it doesnt matter where you are 2 The good missions net you nothing being evil every square inch of space is filled with cops so its impossible to do anything missions included 3 It didnt crash constantly in the menus Dont bother trying to select a mission it Ill crash Buggy        This game could be good
The base of the game is fun and not overly complexwishing for more ships and different weight classes of themsmart AI for you wingmen would be a definite plusplease develop more deeply              Fun
It starts out cool kinda fun but after a small amount of time it becomes repetitive and dull Same missions Same basic thing Over and over        At first its fun then not so much
but its not     It could be so much more
If you like going in endless circles in a 2D environment then this game is for you Deleted     Poor Design AI
Super addicting cant stop playing it I play as the hero got lots of cash Got a new fighter got heavily armed and complete good missions Here is the point of the game You make it up What do you want to do Be a criminal hero trader or just go driving from one star system to the next To complete missions just read the profile Tap on the target star system and tap depart Complete the mission before you reach there For example recover the valuable artworks on the way to the star system When you reach there you will get paid if you completed the mission This game is wonderful you should get it I ask SCS to update the app fixing a crash when I try to load the game                 BEAUTIFUL GAME
This game is forgotten Nobody is even improving it anymore The screenshots were pleasing but the game wasnt I got all of the best items in just 45 minutes The missions are all the same everywhere the music is irritating and the background is the same Sure it tried but failed miserably Worst of all the missions do not tell you which is good and which are bad The boredom that overtakes shortly after beginning makes you want to attack anything This gives you a most wanted status in which everyone attacks you It is impossible to good deed your way out it literally is a game ending move Pirate ships decrease exponentially That is just one problem Another is the fact that police appear everywhere There is no escape and it becomes a death spiral where its you against the galaxy Nothing you can do You have to start over The game crashes too The AI is also too op Everythings the same The death spiral is more exciting than the good deed the evil mishes attacking space stations or any military or civilians lead you to the pariah status of death The military battlecruisers are just too strong Attacking the space stations just leads to death Battle is terribly simple Orbit the enemy and fire and risk hitting a police military or civil The good mishes net you literally nothing soon the person of interest missions are tempting but lead to the death status Sure its nice you can become just about anything you want but the path of evil is too unfair I am sickened to have wasted my hardearned cash on this dog I just quit All those that like this game dont know what a good game is Get Galaxy On Fire 2 or maybe Galaxy on Fire Alliances Warpgate is also a great game Just dont stray anywhere near this game If you get it then you are a fool Stop waiting for an update people I have terrible news Apparently it isnt coming They dumped this crap upon us Check out the lite version before even beginning to think about buying the piece o crap game     Forgotten
I like the game so far however it is very unclear as to how to complete missions I have accepted a mission done it but there is no where to turn it in or get credit for it I dont see anywhere in the ui to do this           Good but
Was hoping for more Just a repetitive flashy arcade game        Flashy arcade
I want to rate this 5 stars but first there need to be some changes First of all the star systems are WAY too similar Every star is virtually identical Same weapons same ships same missions same cargo same everything Ultraviolet dawn needs more variety in order to be five stars Second of all this game is a bit on the pricey side Its maybe worth 199 but the current cost is over the top If there was more to the game it would be a different story But as it is theres not that all that much to the game Finally ultraviolet needs an update Not a minor bug fix It needs an UPDATE Currently pretty much all you do is go around the galaxy shooting down pirates or whatever It can be fun but it gets boring quickly I would like to praise the concept itself though Like it says in the description you can do almost anything you want Bounty hunting trading black market piracy anything The idea is great ultraviolet dawn just needs a little polishing up Overall a four star game              Almost Awesome
i wanted to like this game and it is very ambitious BUT the fact that you can only shoot in the same direction that you are flying your spacecraft is a dealbreaker for me IF the developers add omnidirectional shooting like almost every other shooter on iTunes I will reconsider and give them a better review For now im just going to delete the App        really could be better
This is pretty bad fails as a deep game fails as an action shooter get warpgate instead        What
This game would so be a 5 and my favorite space sim if it had just a little more It feels like a game that is 80 to 90 done lacking anything high level I love the openess of it but what good is there having a gazillion stars to visit when you have the best ship and weapons after 45 minutes of play Controls are good for the platform and the arcade type feel to combat is much better than the rest of the SpaceTrade simulators Add high end content expand the quests a bit and make wingmen actually usefull and i think youd have a real winner on your hands              Great Game that just needs a little more
Love the game and concept Love being able to upgrade things outside of just weapons Love being able to mine for extra cash Could use some kind of tractor beam ala space miner so I dont lose cargo when I blow up a ship and it end up spewing its cargo in every direction Also I would love an all stop feature It would make mining and shooting much more precise Aside from that this is a great game and concept Ive been waiting for a sequel to space miner but it never came This should fill the gap nicely Caution this version is buggy and crashes Can be on occasion if you reboot your iPad so it clears the memory cache If you have a 3G iPad buy it now I dont like going on my computer then iTunes to check for updates This way my iPad displays new updates for installed programs automatically Heres hoping the developers are going to release a stability update soon                 Like space miner but more serious
I was so excited for the first ten minutes of play but there is no depth to this game at all Embarrassed that I paid for this and sadly surprised it is a featured app Devs it needs play balancing it needs depth it needs more time in the oven This is a halfbaked release     Bad 2D Ripoff of Darkstar 1
Overall its a great game Its fun to upgrade your ship and weapons with a large assortment of upgrades The only reason I give it four stars is because the missions are pretty much the same everywhere you go Not to mention that the wingmen that you can buy will shoot when enemies are far away sometimes drawing you into fights with ships neutral to you Other than this this game is addicting and fun to advance in One of the funnest RPG ish games out there at the moment              Awesome
Come on now Did you test this before releasing it Want my money back Its sad how we are the testers to find the bug and we have to pay for it     Crashes every 45 secs
A game without a goal Interesting but is ultimately unsatisfying After boredom overtakes you you might just try attacking anything This rewards with a most wanted where every ship attacks you There is no recovery from this pariah status you cant run and you cant good deed your way out Its just a death spiral until its you against a galaxy Well I guess its more interesting that the extreme boredom that overtakes after about 2 hours of play        Where does this end
It a great game so far but there a few problems that Ive seen happen like some time the missiles dont disappear and hit you all at once or that if you use the cargo ship and try and pick up loot it will not show up when u dont with a station but beside that it a great game to have              Good game but
Ultraviolet Dawn looked quite promising in the screen shots and the game description When I started playing I was instantly reminded of the Dreamcast days and being lost in a space odyssey that was Armada And UD was just that and delivered a vast expanse of space all ready to explore Theres certainly no lack of space stations to find In fact the entire map is expansive for an iOS game and quite impressive Graphics are a wonder with a beautiful backdrop that is seamless in scrolling as one zips through this emissive space Unfortunately the scenery is all the same and soon becomes convoluted in being used as a reference for where one is located in the vast amount of space Every corner of the galaxy looks like the last one 100 light years before this is further hindered by the lack of an onscreen map aside from radar which locates ships and stations within the area Music and sound effects are wild Laser sounds are nominally laser like and the explosions signify a satisfying victory that never gets old The music on the other hand begins to become monotonous after about 10 minutes of playing and then just begs to be turned off Controls are simple with direction on the left and fire weapons on the right Bombs and special actions are mapped to separate buttons that are scattered on screen without any real reason or option to move them for personal preference Game play is equally simple but easily limited The player can choose between walking the path of good delivering supplies providing escorts for those in need and helping retrieve goods Or the path of evil becoming a space pirate and eliminating threats While the choice is ultimately up to the player it quickly becomes a task of frustration if mistakes are made Theres is no clear indication as to what missions will rank you higher on the most wanted list and which will grant you clemency from the law So while the higher paying missions are tempting there is a price to be paid for destroying individuals of interest As your wanted level rises the police ships come at you mercilessly leaving you two options run or fight back and increase your wanted level Theres no real strategy to battles as those whom carry the biggest guns win Enemies flock to your ship and then begin to circle making hitting them equally hard unless you follow the same circling maneuvers With no ability to choose where you shoot verses the direction in which youre traveling the only real option is to fly into your attackers shoot turn around and repeat Escape only diminishes your shields and ultimately hull integrity until eventual death unless your ship is fast enough to out run your attackers torrent of laser beams and plasma weapons Whats most irritating about UD not being able to tell good from bad in the heat of battle Missions are very limited even when traveling to different space stations they are all the same Choosing to rescue a ship from attackers can be tedious as arriving into the battle point leaves the player wondering whom to destroy and who to save In many cases destroying the savé before the attackers left with no indication the mission was compromised Other ships are marked as target or police but are quickly erased when the battle is engaged Targets that are outside visibility are marked with tiny triangles at the edge of the screen So playing on an iPad you spend considerable time looking around the edges of the screen for where youre suppose to be going which draws attention away from the battles overall interrupting the flow of the game Ultraviolet Dawn nearly begs to be played as a standard topdown shootem up destroying everything in sight Missions that are deemed the path of the good aside from not being marked as such are not monetarily worth while Delivery missions for example force the player to front their own in game cash to purchase the supplies to be delivered which in most cases costs MORE to purchase the supplies than it pays to deliver them I only later discovered that youre reimbursed for the cost However in the end it clearly pays better to be a mercenary than it does to help others And without any indication as to what actions increases or decrease a players space karma its up to trial and error to determine what actions are safe and which are not Choosing the path of evil only causes an unbalanced level of police ships to consistently hound you Its impossible to travel even shot distances without encountering law enforcement And finding other pirate ships to destroy and presumably lower your wanted level are few and far in between Sadly UD falls short when it comes to being anything outside of irritating after several hours of game play Consistently being punished by relentless police ships makes repenting for a scared name of evil deeds nearly impossible and without any incentive to explore the outer reaches of the galaxy other than to unlock other ships or weapons traveling between one base to the next destroying a target for cash becomes the next best option for quickly getting upgrades and cash The missions are all the same from one station to the next In my opinion developers should have paid more detail to game play mechanics enemy AI and overall variety That would have made Ultraviolet Dawn a real gem Instead Im left to reminisce my days with Armada While UD clearly aspires to be a great Armada remake it severally lacks in delivery Ultimately Id be greatly upset if I had paid any more then 399 and vastly disappointed if I received any less of a game If youre happy throwing strategy out the window and just want to mindlessly blow stuff up in space than UD will not disappoint but you may want to check out the lite version before you decide to shell out your cash        UD clearly aspires to be a great Armada remake but severally lacks in delivery
Although a fun pick up and play game it grows repetitive very quick I was expecting to play much more complex game that allows me to upgrade my ship in more ways lets me buy more things has challenging and different quests and even though its open ended there would be different storyline based quests and secrets to discover I liked the game play and controls and even some of the graphic but its lacking a sense of atmosphere and lasting potential I hope this game changes with future updates           Lacking
This game is too repetitive You fly around from system to system repeating the same missions over and over Not really worth the money        Fun for 5 minutes
The games premise is unoriginal but it could have still been fun to play Unfortunately the user interface for combat is just dumb and not worth the time I too am really embarrassed to have wasted money on this and agree that the app store should never have featured this dog     Truly Terrible
and complicated     Boring
