This is a great app but one thing I dont like is that for some reason when I have subfolders it doesnt see all the subfolders It seems to pick and choose what subfolders it wants to sync with Great App BUT
Exactly what I wanted Great program
Quite simply I expected better from Pixite This app doesnt read the metadata from TIFF files properly More concerning it wont autoupload TIFF files Poor TIFF Support
I was going to write a glowing review about how awesome this app is until today when I tried the collage feature You get that when you go to share multiple photos To my horror the app will not enable the collage feature until you like the app on Facebook I consider this incredibly scummy I dont have an FB account and never will and here an app I paid good money for blocking me from a feature I dont like to think where this trend will go if we allow it Hence Im giving this app 2 stars instead of 5 Ill change it if the developers remove the FB requirement Beware the like on Facebook to unlock the collage feature
Great Dropbox photo manager done in the native Apple photos app style worth it Dropbox photo management done right
Actually a nice app but it annoys me with a popup to rate it Hence the 1 star Annoying pop ups
I absolutely adore this app I even have the Mac version I would be severely sorry if whatever it is that is crashing my apps both on iPhone and iPad is not fixed very soon I have been living with this crashing for days now and Im not happy Im a fan of an empty or nearly empty camera roll but now my photos are stacking up all over strange album and stuff without Unbound to streamline it Please release an update soon Im getting desperate Keep crashing after IOS 8
I was not disappointed when I bought this app It does everything that it says and more Now I can use my iPad as a picture frame using all my pictures in Dropbox Fantastic
Was a great app when I had a few hundred picsdoes slideshow Now that I have over 20000 mostly work its useless and VERY slow Search tags names are not supported Im left to sync with windows and use Picasa dont waste your money Picasa is free No Tags No Search No Sort
Nice app simplicity plus lots of features Will definitely be moving more of my photos to Dropbox Love it
Purchased this app based on reviews and was very disappointed One can easily view full screen images directly from dropbox This app adds very little functionality The most useful feature would have been the ability to rearrange the order of the images But you cannot do this Image order is still predetermined by file name or date Am I missing something here Does very little
Simple and effective use of Dropbox for my photos Gives me captioning airplay slideshows and various sharing and printing options Perfecto
Bottom line the premise is good but not a great solution for me as it doesnt show nested folders in a hierarchyits all flat If you have a simple flat folder structure and all your photos are within a single root folder in Dropbox its ok but I have lots of albums and nested albums and thousands of photos Currently I am using Stsh as my photo manager as it does properly show the folder structure and I can pull in the photos from Dropbox and it does import the subfoldersbut unfortunately it cant sync its just one way The developer that can combine Stshs abilities with a realtime Dropbox sync that would be killer Too bad Dropbox hasnt figured this out kinda stupid that we need a 2nd app just to view it better I am a semiserious photographer still looking for a great photo management system for iOSWin7 For casual use only
After wasting years unable to show pictures on my iPad iTunes sync to laptop was just too hard pictures were on desktop etc etc within a few minutes I had a dozen albums created and hundreds of pictures cached This application was a godsend I immediately bought the iPhone app and within seconds my albums and pictures were visible there as well Fantastic
Great photo app for the iPad I have the same complaint as one other reviewer about the sub folder structure not being preserved but the developers are working on that Ive also asked about including EXIF data in the info and theyre working on that as well These guys are listening to the feedback This app is only going to get better If you use Dropbox for your photos you HAVE to get this app The way iPhoto should have been
Firstly if anyone thinks giving any app full access to their Dropbox files is simply not using Dropbox seriously Are you crazy So not granting Unbound access to my Dropbox means that it cannot access any photos The Unbound App on OS X is a beautiful thing On the iPad its useless I want my money back Bloody Useless
This is a decent app with some missing features but the biggest problem is that it stopped working after the first few weeks of usage Now every time I start a slideshow it crashes regardless of which photo I select as a starting point or what options I choose for the slideshow Rebooting the iPad did not help No longer works
Would of given a 4 but that would of been unfair because the app does what its described to do More features could be added like video support and better folder structure Folder structure can be easily remedied by how you store themand video well this is a photo app so cant knock them for that Overall AMAZING Yes
This app is what im looking for now I can sync my pictures album stored in my Dropbox to my iPad and keep it offline one thing I missed in this app the ability to backup all the app data with offline picture to iCloud and iTune then I dont need to re download my pictures album again if I reseted my iPad I hope to see that in the next update Thank you and keep going The best Dropbox picture app
This app sends me advertisements via push notifications a violation of App Store policy Push notification spam
Finally an alternative to the native dropbox app I use dropbox primarily for photos and wanted better photo management options which it doesnt have Unbound suits all my needs perfectly Highly recommended Excellent
Just trying various ones for simplicity and functionality This one is GREAT Love This App
I can stop looking now After moving away from iPhoto due to bloat I have come to love Unbound It also saves me a lot of space on 16GB iPad STOP prompting for reviews and get 5 stars My Photos on Dropbox Solution
This is my go to app for browsing my Dropbox photos Simple layout and easy to use Also has tons of useful sharing and printing options Awesome app for Dropbox photos
Ive been searching for an app like this for ages As soon as Dropboxs plans had enough storage space and became more affordable to offload my entire iPhoto library into the cloud I did exactly that havent looked back So this makes the experience so much better to view my 100GB library The only things I would recommend is the ability to add more than one main source folder As well as being able to handle my entire folder structure Right now the app will only show you the actual albumsfolders that contain the photos themselves and not any sort of structure that album might be contained in example AnimalsDogs Animals wont be shown Also video support PLEASE I have tons of videos in my Dropbox from my iPhone as well as pics as Im sure most people do so I still have to use the official Dropbox app for that Otherwise this is an excellent app for us cloud warriors Great
This is a nice app if you have all of your photos and dropbox The only complaint I have is that it doesnt support the same subfolder structure that you have inside of dropbox For example if you have a folder labeled weddings and then inside of the folder you have folders labeled reception honeymoon portraits etc all of those are going to be displayed as their own toplevel albums making it confusing to go through your photos Nice app but doesnt offer sub folder structuring
Tried all the things recommended in the FAQs and it doesnt work Waste of money Wont find my folder
I really like this photo viewer It links seamlessly to Dropbox it is available on the Mac iPhone and iPad and is easy to use I would like to see a few added features such as the ability to add or modify metadata and the ability to search by metadata Currently search is limited to folder names Excellent Viewer
Way awesome for viewing Dropbox photos without using up precious memory on iPad Get Dropbox photos app
14 May 2015 Normally I rave about Pixite photo apps to all of my iPad toting friends but not in the case for Unbound Here are my pros and cons related to the app Pros 1 It has a much better user interface presentation than Dropbox does for creating folders and the images that they contain 2 It is simple to setup to your Dropbox photo area 3 It allows for renaming of photos 4 It allows for changing of photo metadata Cons 1 Dreadfully slow at moving photos from one folder to another 2 Prone to locking up during the moving of photos from one folder to another I do not recommend selecting more than 10 photos at a time 3 You must force the shutdown of the app when it locks up during file transfers and restart it again with the transfers that did not occur 4 It is limited to only Dropbox and no other cloud providers All in all the app is a great idea but lackluster in its performance and behavior This app has been in the App Store for over a year now and updates should have been made to improve performance and behavior To date this has not happened and I cannot say that the app meets the normal high bar that Pixite sets for itself with its other photo apps I would not recommend that app at this time Not up to Pixite LLC High Standards
Unbound is a great app for viewing photos stored on Dropbox The only thing I hate is that it doesnt support nested folders Example 2013JanNew York It will only show the New York folder I would give 5 stars if they can give it nested folder support No support for nested folders
Great app Definitely worth the money for people with lots of photos in their Dropbox account Great app
I used for over 2 years Have you plan to integrate One Drive Well maden photo app
They make you pay for both iPhone and iPad version Unacceptable NO STARS Waste of money Dont buy
You will need to select one folder in Dropbox as root and you can only see photos within that one folder Useless app for my use Does not allow to browse all albums as advertised
Galleries wont load Junk Good idea but doesnt work
Finally a solid app for browsing images in Dropbox Thank you The photo info is great and what Ive been waiting for in a photo app but would you please add the data size of the photo and not just the dimensional size As in 200k or 12mb etc Then its five stars all the way Finally
This app is OK Its not as flexible as I had hoped It makes managing photos in dropbox easier but there are a lot of things I expected to do that I cannot like share with fb from the app or simply delete a photo while Im looking at it full size Must select thumbnail and then delete Overpriced
I store all of my pics in Dropbox This app works perfectly in managing my pics Thanks Outstanding
I use this app almost every day I only wish that itd play videos in place instead of having to open a new modal view for them Wonderful
I have their app for Picasa Web Albums just got this app for Drop Box they are 2 of the best apps I have But my one complaint would be that the ability to delete albums from within these apps is needed Awesome
Fast easy interface but doesnt allow you to post to Facebook only to Twitter Potentially great but needs more functionality
Please make fewer columns option available in thumbnail view because viewing thumbnails are too small if we can choose between 3 4 5 columns as Heliog app would be awesome Almost pefect
This is the best app Ive found for storing your photos in Dropbox It feels just like the native photos app except your photos dont take up space on your device and are constantly synced with your computer Simply awesome Amazing for your Dropbox photos
The perfect viewer app for our family photos that are backed up in Dropbox A great way for my wife and I to look at all our photos from the last few years without taking up too much space on my iPad Just what I needed
I like both the Pixite app Unbound for the Dropbox photos and a similar app for Web Albums Picasa One could well argue that Pixit should write one app to display ALL photos from a number of resources like DB Picasa Google etc I like the options for dark background for viewing the slideshows with musics displaying captions etc Sure the native DB app can view images but not as fast as Unbound and not as immersive as Unbound It has a Passcode yay It can start from a chosen folder yay It can delete albums Hide albums and Add Captions Awesome Pixite does great apps and Unbound is awesome
Ive used the developers app for Picasa and really liked it so when I went looking for a Dropbox photo viewer and organizer I was glad to find this one The photo layout is really great What I find a bit creepy is the apps need to get access to everything in my Dropbox account It ends up using only a single folder so why did I have to give it permission to access my entire account Why cant I just specify the folder And as someone else pointed out about having to Like the app on Facebook to use the collage feature what the hl What is this the 3rd grade Wont you share your candy if we dont tell you that we like you Mostly good some slimy and creepy
Update still crashes A lot Sigh I want to like this app I really do but it crashes all the time Yes I have a lot of photos but it crashes every time iPad 2nd gen iOS 6 Why Its very frustrating Also it doesnt fully delete empty folders And if you rename a folder and arent careful when you delete the OLD one it will delete BOTH the old new folders and your photos with it It crashes all the time
Great graphical interface to peruse your photos or if you link a folder from within your Mac almost any art media on your Dropbox Great as an image vault viewer or portfolio showcase app It just works
I have hdmi adaptor I miss option which recognised when hdmi is connected and automatically show photos in full screen on tv Photo Slideshow Director Pro has this option and it is very useful Photos on tv are way bigger It would be great to see this feature here Great but one thing miss
