Unread for iPad: RSS News Reader

Love the design but it crashes multiple times every time I use it           5 for design 1 for frequent crashes

Ive abandoned Newsify after years of use for trying to charge me 4MONTH to continue using their little app Needed a replacement My feeds are all in Feedly Really love so much about Unread Very elegant But with no image thumbnails in the list view it loses out to Feedlys free app           SO wanna love this app

This is a good RSS Reader but it should be a universal app Instead they make you buy an iPad app and an iPhone app and have the nerve to ask for a tip Heres a tip make a Universal App     Should be a Universal App

Unread is now in the arms of the Supertop guys makers of Castro so I know it has a bright future Its the prettiest RSS user Ive ever used Unread is really geared toward READING of articles rather than using it as mobile triage Its also a better reader if you subscribe to lots of full text RSS feeds It used to be that Unread was frustrating to use with truncated RSS feeds But a recent update brought a simple readability view and it works GREAT SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE NOW Huge Kudos to the Supertop team                 Unread is a BEAUTIFUL start With a few rough edges

The most pleasant reading experience Only one or two features I miss from my previous favorite but the look and overall feel make up for their loss And well see if the transition to new ownership brings further enhancements                 Easy Reader

Unread is a simple clean easy to use RSS reader It took me a little while to get into it and the habit of reading articles with RSS again but the more I use Unread the more I like it I use Feedly as a content source Unread loads quickly and sorts articles by time or by feed Mark all above or below current position as unread Tap to read Get just a summary Tap the headline to see readability view Tap headline again to load the web view Swipe back once to return to article view skipping readability as it should swipe again returns to the article list Oh yeah how to navigate Tap and swipe If you can reach any part of the screen youre good The major downside of Unread is that you cant edit your source list With Feedly this means I have to also have the Feedly app on my iPad since their stupid website just presents an App Store link So I tried using Feedly as my reader to avoid the duplication Its a competent app its fine but I went back to Unread in two days Id also like to see Unread make better use of screen space on the iPad especially in landscape say article list on the left and content on the right swipe left or right to dismiss either pane Overall a very good app reasonably priced If Supertop adds feed editing Ill be set              Just add a few notes

This app is clean and beautiful It gives you the text in a beautiful format and gets everything else out of the way Its only missing one thing Please add support for inoreader That is my RSS of choice but its not supported by this amazing app That is my only wish              RSS As it should be

i bought both versions both because they are great apps and want to support the devs and just because of these devs iphone can be this great                 bought it and loving it

After taking it for a ride for a day I replaced my longtime RSS reader Reeder 2 with Unread After a few days of use it has become stuck in the past For example it shows 4 new items available in one feed but when I open that feed it shows only one unread item and thats an item I read two days ago Neither refreshing all feeds nor killing the app in the task manager and restarting it will solve the problem Despite Unreads wellconceived UI Ive reverted back to Reeder     Disappointing

I love the article view in Unread Its really great I think that the article list could use some improvement as it shows so few articles It really just seems like a blown up version of the iPhone app I think there should be a small thumbnails option for photos as right now there is kind of an all or nothing approach where you either get huge images or no images I also think that I shouldnt need to unmute my iPad to get audio for embedded videos that I specifically tap play for              Good RSS App Could Use Some Tweaks

This is a great RSS reader for the iPad I love the design it is fast and it works well with Feedly My only issue is they ask for tips in the update text each time I have many other apps that are updated more often with more improvements and they never ask for tips aka updateupgrade fees at all If you can look past the begging which isnt difficult this is a flawless app                 Great RSS reader

I really appreciate having a nice rss app Unread is a delightful app that I use every day It has good sharing support nice gestures and lots of themes This app is definitely worth time and money I do wish that the red Fireside theme would make a comeback I miss it Also a more intuitive back gesture from the browser would be nice I have trouble with a lot of pages to get a handle on some text to swipe Maybe two fingers instead                 Very clean

Very clean UI and Im getting used to the gestures Overall I like it a lot but one thing is driving me insane when I tap Share sometimes Instapaper is on the list and sometimes it isnt I need to have Instapaper available 100 of the time or whats the point I may have to go back to Mr Reader untilunless Unread gets that nailed down One other thing that would be nice is if I could tell Unread always to open certain feeds using the Readability view or just a global setting always to pull full articles if thats possible Great start           Inconsistent Instapaper Integration

If you want to be the best RSS app you need to allow full article reading by default or at least a single tap within the article Its a bit wonky in this app and using inapp browsers to access Readibility within the frame is not a great solution           Looks great and reads great But
