It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0.1 has been released on 2015-07-29. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I kept downloading barcode readers but none of them were complete From what I can tell so far this is a much larger database of products I suspect it will continue to get better as it gains more users This is the kind of thing I like to have access to from my phone It has come in very handy already                     Simple but great Gary workman
