I think game was good however it showed to have issues with game play such as almost impossible to win and every country wanting to go to war with you for no reason I could sty in peace forver and keep economy well in country to be richest but either some peanut sized country comes and destroys me instatnly and wipes all my troops out with one guy or my country randomly decides to have a civil war for no reason             Meh Trev.Nash89

This game has crashed every single time I ve attempted to run it The newest patch may have fixed the problem but I didn t have the patience to find out because it involves too much guesswork and estimation to determine exactly where on the screen you re clicking since it does not correspond to the cursor s position at all An absolutely horrible buggy unplayable piece of software and a complete waste of money     Horrible HadrianV

Just updated my OS to OSX Mountain Lion Whenever I begin a game it just freezes They need to update the game to be able to handle this     Needs an Update jguy6297

It was fun until I updated to Mountain Lion Now it doesn t work It will start the game but once I hit the pause button to play it freezes and locks my computer down I suggest not buying it if you have Mountain Lion at least not until there s an update If you have another OS go for it It s fun         Fun game until Chazz08

This is a good game very addictive The gameplay is highly immersive as you must simultaneously manage diplomatic economic political and military aspects of your nation With a bit of work it is also possible to customize the game as there is a vibrant mod community Some problems the game s response time slows down a lot as armies get larger later in the game This can be frustrating as marshalling armies and transfering units can take several clicks and there is a noticable delay after each one Hopefully this will be fixed with future patches                 Addictive afrodri

This game is probably the best nation simulator i ve seen so far There is much to do ranging from controlling your industries negotiating with other nations and researching new technologies Im running it on my 2010 Macbook Pro i5 and there was some lag but then i unchecked the advanced waters tab on video options which made the water black Anyways the game run pretty smoothly and overall I am very impressed And for those looking for the console command its not alt 2 1 you simply press the button above caps lock                     Good game with a lot to do parkkrap

I purchased this game here and downloaded it I have a 2007 macbook with the newest OSX installed and everything seems to work fine At times it runs a bit slow but its not that big of a deal However the campaign map is completey black and you can not see anything other than the white territory barriers I have not even been able to play this game since I bought it yesterday     Black Map Trai Swaney

I have to say the game is worth the price in my opinion It has many things realistic to world history and really makes you see how all the powerful nations at the time had naval forces I have played one as a land locked nation and one with seaports and there is a big difference so far The tutorial is not that good but if you google the game itself there are a few places that have a pdf of the guide It s not an easy game but there are limitless possibilities So far I have really enjoyed playing and it has made me go back and relearn events I was taught a long time ago and forgot all about                     It s a really interesting game Gilmore1011

I m a huge strategy game who has played everything from Age of Empires to Starcraft and Civilization over the last 13 years and only recently have I gotten into paradox games This game lets you take control of any country on Earth that existed in 1836 and lets you guide every facet of its existance until 1936 You will have to manage the economy military and politics of your nation The economic system is incredibly deep and complex but trade is automated by default and takes a huge burden off the player s hands To suceed it is imperative to industrialize and build many factories but as you do this the people will become more politically consciouss and demand greater change If you ignore their needs there can be dire consequences There are many political factions in the game but at the game start there are only 3 reactionary conservative and classic laissez faire liberalism but as the game goes and and new political philosophy arise you will see new parties such as the anarcho liberals socialists communists and even fascists yes the nazis can take over Germany again arise on the national stage The latter two parties will stage violent revolutions and if they suceed in taking and holding your nation s capital their will be a government change This isn t necessarily a bad thing and can bring radical changes to your nation such as the transformation from the Russian Empire to the Soviet Union but history takes the path that you choose and you could lead Russia into a liberal democracy or a fascist dictatorship The game has a fairly steep learning curve and the tutorial leaves a bit to be desired but it a tremendous leap forward over older Paradox games If you can be patient and stick with the game and try a few campaigns as learning experiences after the tutorial you will discover a game that is incredibly deep and rewarding and offers a seemingly impossible amount of fun From a technical standpoint this product is excellent Performance is top notch and a huge range of resolutions is supported so 27 iMac users will be able to get the most of their titanic screen The only thing I have to complain about is that the game doens t seem to be updated as frequently as the windows version The windows version of the game is about to get patch 1 3 and it looks like us mac users are stuck with 1 01 for now Fans of strategy and grand strategy get this game you will not regret it if you have the patience to bear with it and learn                     Limitless entertainment for those who have the patience to learn AkelaWolf
