Without an option to disable shake detection this app is mainly useful as a novelty but it kind of fails as a novelty too because so much of its function relies on modern UI The album covers even fade as you flip through your collection This is especially unfortunate as the developers excuse for no universal app is that the iPad version contains so much high resolution artwork That artwork could have been used here for pinch zoom precise control and detailed use of the simulated turntable instead of relying on a bunch of icons At least it works properly and doesnt force your entire iCloud library on you or fail to display the embedded artwork which makes it superior to nearly everything else available right now Kind of pointless

This app is lovely actually The one problem I have is with the whole shake and the record skips feature There NEEDS to be a way to turn that off I want to be able to carry my phone with me while I listen and I understand that it adds to the authentic vinyl experience I need to be able to turn off that function so that my song doesnt skip and die every time I move On a completely different level it would also be cool to have a repeat feature Again I know this isnt the traditional vinyl way but when I want to listen to a song multiple times I dont always want to have to unlock my phone and reset it If youre going to choose one of these problems to work on first I would definitely prefer you add a toggle for the shaking feature before considering a repeat function That is a major issue thats affecting my ability to enjoy this app Otherwise love it Seems good so far but one problem

Really awesome app but as others have stated it really needs the option to disable skipping when the device is shaken or moved Without this option the usage is limited severely It would also be nice to have it easier to scroll through albums on the selection screen It seems I have to drag my finger really far just to swipe to the next album It makes it very frustration to quickly swipe through your collection Awesome attention to detail

This app is now miles beyond the competition in the mockturntable field This is not some silly DJ toy this is a fullblown music player with superb warm tone beautiful record label art and that glorious vinyl crackle Thank you Elephant Candy for making mp3s sound better than i ever thought they would this app is worth buying an ipod touch for UPDATE This could still be better I am not able to use it as my main player Maybe thats not what Elephant Candy intended but it is SOOO close right now If only it didnt skip so much Give me an option to turn of the skips from movement and scratches and this is solid gold better than any app priced 5x as much Best idea ever i also own Elephant Candys EQu app give me the option to buy EQ settings for it that are used in Vinyl app And of course once you have seven turntables at your disposal you are bound to wish you had MORE options Its Fixed and now it is PERFECT

This app is great love the visual style love the changing sounds according to the different players Ive been using it nonstop for the whole day I just wish there was a way to keep the music playing for more than a few songs without having to engage with the app Even the old record players allowed for repeat and to stack records that even dropped down to be played But again this app is great Love playing music through this Needs repeat playlists

I really like this app but would like to make a few suggested improvements to the developers I would prefer that skips and other sound defects that are normal when vinyl ages be eliminated when you clean the album then slowly have them manifest the more you play the record in other words have the cleaner make the album sound brand new Fix the the delay and silence that sometimes occur between tracks and instead have them flow together as they occur on the album Have an option to disable the skip function when you shake your phone Fix these issues and I will give it 5 stars Great app to capture the vibe of old vinyl

Without much ado its veritably clear to me without a shadow of a doubt or much hesitancy about whether this is the greatest app ever invented in the history of electric novelty and so Id have to say that indubitably and with no remorse I can honestly say this is the best thing thats ever given me the most unimagined pleasure I never thought possible like playing the Bridge of Sighs LP at 45 rpm with a low pitch then I scratch it to the left and do a clockwise turnkey swoop thing then accelerate the pitch while simultaneously reverting back to 33 or cranking out the old Victrola victor style with a harangue into Vaughan at the el mocambo searing at 16 rpm Whether tis Ñobler
This is so cool I never knew there was anything like this Its literally like having all your music on vinyl You can scratch the records all you want and just clean then right up access your entire music Library play LPs or singles There are even pops and clicks and a number of different record players to choose from Simply amazing Awesome

Dont get me wrong this is app is great In fact it could be used just to boost the sound quality of mp3s The only problem is that they over emphasize the realism If you move the needle while a record is playing it makes this deafening horrible screeching sound Also they purposefully program it to skip once in a while I have an old 1942 record player and when I actually play my old Ink Spots vinyl on it it sounds nothing like the way they do on the apps version of a 40s era turntable Hopefully theyll add an update where you can pick if you want skipsrecord scratching Definite Buy some drawbacks

I dont normally write reviews but this is a fun app with some potential First off beautiful interface Hopefully it will grow and expand with future phone releases And for what it does it is good at it Using it as music player has its issues Id like to see background settings for turning off the aging of the records as they get played and the motion detection of the music player that changes the position of the needle when it gets bumped Both get distracting quickly and arent necessary for longer listening sessions Apart from those great start to the app I wish there was a Mac version as only so much music can fit on the iPhone especially with no SpotifyPandoraLastFM playback options Good Start
