I cant get the arteries where they need to be

i love this game but wen it comes time to assembling the clamp for the surgery i can not put the second piece on i get one clamp side on left but can NOT get the right side on no matter were i place it or how i place it u should instructions other then follow the diagram pleasehavehelpbutton
