All of the five star reviews appear to be from dealers who are selling the DMP system while the user reviews are mostly negative Users please be more specific and dealers please but out Im trying to make a decision on whether to switch to a DMP system How slow is it        Need Real Reviews

Use to work great till this version Now after entering alarm code it never logs in Pretty much useless now Good thing I can still log in from website How long before this is fixed     Doesnt work anymore

The app is too slow to be useful Arming your system with the current version requires too much patience Sadly it cannot replace the key fob in convenience In future versions I would like to see the complete status of the alarm displayed rather than just armed or not armed as in the keypad at home Good idea but implementation is poorly done Disappointing     Too slow and limited

The speed the new features take this app beyond the current abilities of other apps like in Schedule Favorites or zwave devices Add delete or change users codes system schedules all from the app Watch realtime video of the control of zwave lights Its very cool When I had my panel updated I got all kinds of new features If your not experiencing a rock solid app experience You may need to have your panel updated Mine works rock solid                 Most stable version yet

Incredibly slow to launch Does not afford much by way of control User interface is fairly mundane as can be seen in screenshots     Not so much

We have used the text messaging to arm and disarm for a few years It works great so I didnt know how much I would like the app That said the app was slow in the beginning but lately the updates keep making it faster and faster When my panel was hit by lightening and my alarm company came out and updated my panel man did it ever get fast Now I have all my Christmas Lights on zwave and they are a breeze to control I loved the texting and now I love the app too I added some push notifications and I love seeing when my kids come and go regardless of if the system is armed Very handy Just got the new update I think its even faster Still love it                 Still Very Happy with mine

Love the new look of the app It looks just like my touchscreen With the user code feature and history I am getting what Ive wanted in an app The push notifications are a bonus              New look

It worked great for a quite a while now it wont connect Constant Connection Error messages and even Reload and new Login doesnt help     Cant connect

Recently bought a DMP xt50 Love LOVE love my z wave devices The door locks are so convenient since I have teenagers They always loose their keys Plus if I forget to lock the door I can do it from anywhere Great for my maid Its also really nice to be able to control lighting and temp Had other apps and DMP is by far superior                 Great System

Paid a lot for my new alarm system with the capability to arm and disarm the system with my smart phone This app does not work Very slow response time when Im arming the system and thats if Im not kicked off the app or if I can even log into my alarm with this app I do not recommend this app Its junk     Very disappointed

Very easy to use I love the new rooms feature with live video My lights turn on super fast with this app too My alarm company is awesome                 Works well

This new version looks great I love that it looks like my graphic touchscreen keypad I also love the ability to control my system from the myvirtualkeypadcom browser                 Love the new look

All the app does is arm disarm the alarm system There is no panic feature There is no way to change your password from within the app There is no history feature to show how many times your alarm system has been armed and disarmed and by who        Very poor app

This newest version works great on network or cellular I use cellular and its fast only about 5 10 seconds real time is typical Push notifications security password and history makes this app complete Id recommend it to anyone                 Awesome App New Version Works Great

I was a longtime Honeywell user and had my system replaced this year with DMP There are so many things I can control with this app it is mind boggling Dump Honeywell go DMP youll thank me 1000 times                 Best Security App hands down

What I look for in a mobile app is functionality This app is very fast it offers real time status of your security system at a glance and you can control all your home automation and cameras I also really like the Sensor Activity feature I can monitor my gun vault even when the alarm system is disarmed It sends me a message when its opened or closed I cant control the message delivery right from my iPhone I can also change user codes from my iPhone Excellent and practical app                 Fast and reliable

I have had the DMP Zwave system and its Virtual Keypad App for well over a year now The system is still not reliable for the following reasons 1 The Virtual Keypad App frequently hangs during login 2 The Virtual Keypad App randomly forgets its login information even when it is set to remember this information 3 The Virtual Keypad App seems to randomly arm the DMP security system resulting in false alarms when the alarm is then unwittingly tripped I can be understanding when an app designed to provide me with a restaurant review or a tenday weather forecast has bugs that lead to occasional errors crashes etc I am significantly less tolerant of an app with bugs that is designed to control my 3000 DMP security system DMP how long is it going to take you to make your Virtual Keypad App reliable Update on November 17 2014 One of the five star reviewers with an apparent association to DMP Google the reviewers user name and check out the corresponding LinkedIn profiles states in his review If your not experiencing a rock solid app experience You may need to have your panel updated My response Within the past 15 months I have had to schedule and incur expense for multiple service calls to update the hardware and firmware of my DMP security system in an attempt to fix bugs and basic performance issues associated with its Zwave hardware firmware and app Accordingly here are MY thoughts regarding your suggestion 1 Have you ever heard of the term backward compatibility 2 Have you ever heard the mantra Do it right the first time 3 Do you really expect customers to incur CONTINUING expenses for MULTIPLE firmware updates because DMP is apparently unable to resolve all the bugs and BASIC performance issues with a single app hardware or firmware update I can understand paying to upgrade for ADDITIONAL functionality but I can not understand paying for multiple service trips to fix bugs and performance issues that impact the BASIC functionality of the system for example the ability to reliably and quickly log on the app that should have been present upon first product release DMP employees may not have to pay for service associated with firmware updates to resolve problems but the VAST majority of your customers do have to pay for this service 4 Do you really think sticking customers with the expense of MULTIPLE service trips to resolve basic functionality and performance issues attributable to product DMP product bugs and basic performance issues is an effective strategy to gain customer loyalty or favorable recommendations to family friends etc regarding DMPs products     Frustratingly Unreliable

This app is never able to connect to my system The app doesnt even try 5 seconds before saying it couldnt connect It may be busy it says It also cant set your system to instant which I would prefer It also is not compatible with our wireless cameras so I have to use another app to access themI wish DMP would get it together and make this app at least as useful as the keyfob And with this upgrade it wont even remember your code Even though it supposedly has the ability     Junk Just junk

Update is even worse FIX THIS THING After first seeing the app for the Honeywell system my expectations were high I can only figure reps that sell DMP products utilize this generic app to sell more hardware products to further assist with monitoring needs This really is a total joke A panic feature at the very least needs to be added PLEASE UPDATE THIS THING     Disappointed

I have a Dmp xt 50 with prox keypads 14 zwave lights a yale real living touch screen zwave lock and a wifizwave thermostat gsmnetwork and dialer monitoring I got the app for the on screen UI which is fairly robust and easy to use my alarm dealer Rueschhoff did good job of making sure I understood what features were going to be applicable to my system and how they work they also explained that the app for this system has some speed issues on start up due to the need for a secure connection to the servers so i was prepared for a little lag and for the safety and security of my home and family I would much rather wait a little longer for my app to start up then worry about someone gaining access to my home without permission Now with that being said man its slow lol sometimes Ive had to wait upwards of two or three minutes for the app to connect to my system but once the connection is made my lights and locks react almost instantly and the same with the arm and disarm capabilities it seems to be the initial start up that takes the time so when Im in a hurry I just simply send a text MSG instead which only takes a few seconds for my system to react to all in all Im very happy with the performance and integrity of my system and sleep well at night knowing my family and home are protected with an alarm system and a security company I can trust So I would definitely recommend a Dmp security system and the app is great for sitting around the house and controlling various lights fans and temp But if its speed youre after then the app probably isnt going to be a good choice three stars simply because its slow Ill change to five when they speed up           Awesome app

The app takes a long time to load then takes just as long to perform a command Good for the first version but hopefully we will see some speed improvements in the future Right now texting is much much faster A history feature would be great too To track who and when armed or disarmed the system        OK but not great

I use this app to control my home system and I love it I love the look Very sharp I love how quickly I can check my cameras and how quickly the pantilt functionality works Arming couldnt be easier just press a button I especially love the unique rooms with a view feature where I add hotspots to control ZWAVE devices on live video When I add devices and favorites from the app they are immediately available on my graphic touch keypad too So cool This also has the absolute best method for video verification of alarms                 SaxMan

The latest update definitely sped things up I love viewing the cameras This app just keeps getting better                 Much improves

So when I saw the reviews on this I thought it was going to be really slow and would probably delete it The first time I loaded it it took forever but after that I never really had a problem Its really cool feature for my alarm system I got a wireless one for my house with some zwave stuff like the thermostat and the deadbolt lock Im guessing the older versions arent so good but it seems they ironed out the bugs give it a try and see what you think              Pretty cool

You can take a picture of any room in your home that you have ZWave devices in and set up a hot spot touch spot on the screen that allows you to control those ZWave devices That makes ZWave control so easy to do on the fly with your mobile device I love it                 Love the hot spot feature

This has become a regular part of my daily and nightly routine with the system adjusting the thermostat lights and locks as I come and go and when I go to bed Also have been able to utilize the cameras to verify dropoffs by FedEx etc and caught my neighbors shoveling my driveway thats a good thing I wouldnt have known who did this kind deed without it Love the app                 Love the app

I use this AP everyday with my security system and think it is great What sets it apart from other security system APS is that changes such as Armingdisarming lights onoff etc are being made in real time I may see a little wheel turning for a few second but when I get the light that tells me my system has armed I know it has armed it is not the perception that it armed very important Lights respond very fast and the favorites are awesome With an little tweek here and there and this will be a 5 star AP and the best security AP on the market              Great AP

I have had Virtual keypad since version 10 and have seen vast improvements I love hte new appearance and the tool tray is straight forward I have added a few more zwave lights to my system through the app and it was remarkably easy I had a zwave remote control but I find that I dont use it anymore as the app is so fast I get the same performance and my phone is always with me This is what all others hope to grow up and become                 Super easy super fast

Since the most recent update I can longer connect with my alarm system Upon opening the app it states that session has timed out Please fix Worked perfectly three days ago     Update cause Timeout

Looks like a new update to the app went into play the day I tried to use the app Has not worked with the DMP rep nor on my phone or my wifes phone Please FIX ASAP Thanks     App Does Not Work At All

I second the criticism by Just the Facts The update still does not provide the ability to schedule zwave units and is a major conceptual failure Its asking much of customers to accept technology stuck in the last century Update welcome to 1980 Now we can schedule but it rarely works Updated all zwave times to adjust for the end of daylightsaving time Not one functioned as programmed None Zero 100 failure rate This software is best described as junk Update 2 new version and my opinion remains the same It just does not work     Still behind the curve

The concept of using a smart phone or table to control your home security system is great but found the reality a problem Trying to get connected with the system is a challenage because it doesnt work all the time maybe 50 of the time     over rated

I love this app Its fast it works and it makes my life ever so much easier It keeps being updated and every time its something even better that I want It does WAY more than just armdisarm I can control my lights my thermostat my door lock remotely And when the temperature soars I can turn on my sprinkler system so my grass doesnt die before I get home from a trip                 Love mine

DMP leads the industry in innovation Between this app text messaging and zwave Ive found this system to rise above expectations                 Great system

2 years later at least now I can sometimes login It still regularly crashes on all of my devices The iPad version is horribly unstable and the iPhone version is missing almost all of the features and the ability to ad favorites does not work This app is a complete joke that only a shill or moron would rate above 1 star     Still buggy garbage

I will admit that when I first tried the DMP virtual keypad app I was disappointed It was very slow and had a minimalistic feature set That was in mid 2013 fast forward and today I can unequivocally state that its speed is awesome and DMP seems to be consistently adding to its capabilities Ive recently added zwave locks and lights to my system and love that I can create favorites which lump devices together saving me time I cant wait to see what is coming next as there are a few features Id still like to have such as push notification of an event I currently get text msgs and a means to authenticate the user user code Ive used the other apps and find that DMPs is now faster Tied to a growing feature set and you can call me a happy user              Consistent improvement

The DMP Virtual Keypad keeps getting better and better I have a system at home and one at work switching between them is FAST Love the new features too Great Job                 Well Done

I was originally not the biggest fan of this app but with the most recent update all of my concerns have been totally resolved It is much more responsive with my home automation and turns on and off my lights almost instantly now It also connects to my security system much more quickly so I can arm or disarm from my car on my way in or out The best part of the new update in my opinion is the new look It is extremely aesthetically appealing and has a smooth clean look My only request for the next update would be to be able to arrange the icons on the bottom in an order I choose For example I would want the lights icon to be seen without having to slide it over since that is a feature I use a lot                 Beautiful and practical improvements

This new version is exceptional I have 15 or so zwave devices including locks thermostats and lights The new app is lightning fast and I love the new design I have an XT30 with a network connection                 Great Alarm App

Really dumb it has to go thru DMPs server and cant connect directly to the panel I think that would go much much faster Guess I will have to stick with Logmein on my phone back to my computer that has remote link on it Although remote link is in some serious needs of improvements also A great concept but DMP just cant spent the extra 15 minutes to make it user friendly     Great idea dumb implementation

Whoever wrote this needs to check out Total Connect 20 which is for the Honeywell Security System Virtual Keypad is weak No features other than armdisarm Please check out TC 20 and look into writing an up to date app Thinking of getting rid of this DMP system if they dont get with the times     Very POOR App

Extremely slow to log on and sometimes fails completely Just terrible     Poor service and sooooo slow
