I had no problem whatsoever getting tech level 3 and feeding all the villagers so I could expand the population secret is not having more than 17 and then putting everyone on tech however there is a max population of 40 meaning that when the huts are built there is nothing more to get master builders plus when you can grow the population quickening you end up with an aging population so some die off to expand and by then they are all too old I remember the old version allowed 90 people and that was challenging and fun this one not so much I would gladly have paid more to get the same quality of game the first one offered I finished this in just a few days on vacation and just deleted it its over already I wish it was the old version         disappointed That's a Girl

Great port of a classic game favorite Definitely worth playing again if you liked it on pc or even for the first time Side note every single complaint about the difficulty of this game could be solved with some curiosity and a Google browser These games have been out for several years and have many excellent walkthroughs available on several different gaming sights Also these games are slower paced all of them Do not expect to race through them in a day they truly are excellent casual babysitting type games Be prepared to go slow and have patience So glad to get a chance to replay these on iPad which I can take with me anywhere Runs great on older iPad as well                     Excellent Port MendolynSkye

I can not play this game The villagers unlike the ones in vv origins need constant care but they cant get anymore food now And i need to get more tech points to upgrade my farming capabilities to get the algae out i haven t gone on for a week but i know that they are all dead from starvation So add In app purchases plz                 I need tech points Erilou222

This is a great game Almost all the bad reviews I see are from people who can t figure out the puzzles and seem to have decided that there is something wrong with the game and I am honestly kind of amazed in a bad way as I read them The food problem is easily solved with a little careful planning get the second level of farming while you can still fish so you can collect coconuts after the algae shows up get the second level of construction while collecting coconuts and then set a builder to create a dam to irrigate the fields as soon as you have your field build a scarecrow to get rid of the birds After that you have all the time you need to collect enough points to get farming level 3 and clear the algae Just make sure to keep your population on the low side until you can fish again JayIsGames has great walkthroughs for all the virtual villagers games it is a great resource if you ever get stuck I use it for the stew recipes I can never remember them Honestly if you just google virtual villagers 2 the Walkthrough is one of the first links to pop up The only problem I ve seen with the game is that when I paused the game for a weekend camping trip back when I was just starting the game it didn t actually pause When I came back my villagers were all dead Since I was still near the beginning it wasn t too much of a hassle to start over but that is a bad glitch that they should really work on fixing If not for that I would have given this app 5 starts                 Great game with a glitch MissBangle

I had been pausing the game when I wasn t playing Tim make sure the village lasted during long periods away Apparently it doesn t always pause Halfway through the game and I m down to one villager and zero food How is this possible with the game paused The same thing has happened to my husband on his iPhone I m not sure I want to start all over It s fun to play but not if yo have to start from the very beginning after so much time Hopefully it s a glitch they fix             Pausing The Game Mrshippiechick

To get the gong piece out of the pond make a stew using one red herb to the right of the mosaic floor and two sprigs of the orange flower at the bottom of the island This makes them able to breathe underwater Make sure a villager eats the stew then put him on the diving rock above the pond and he or she will get the piece                     Answer for gong piece in pond Omybunny

This game used to be a lot of fun but seriously when the ocean gets dirty with algae you can t fish and your villagers starve Then your coconut supply runs out and you have no kids to pick mushrooms then your villagers start dying Can someone PLEASE tell me how to clean the ocean or something My villagers need to LIVE             Pretty good Baby birds rock!

Research is the only way to get the tech points when your farmers aren t taking care of crops make them research The more people that research the faster you get them Unfortunately you ll find out like I did there s no way to beat it either the water is too deep so the villagers can t get the puzzle piece or you can t progress and figure out all the puzzles so put your money into a different game instead of this one         Research big waste of time Shannfree808

I like the idea but it doesn t work It is too hard to earn enough tech points to get the needed upgrades in farming and etc They run out of food partly because you can t use all the food sources right away When a food source is gone then the villagers quickly weaken and are even slower at getting tech points to buy the upgrades and things you need There is too much of a gap between what is possible to earn and what you can get Change this and make it more possible to farm fish pick coconuts and other things all at the same time and make things more affordable so the village can really grow and I would enjoy it more Make tools and other equipment available to purchase at reasonable prices Then I might like this more         needs help Bgiese
