Has begun shutting down my Mac when turned on I m not sure if it is a conflict with other software or what but my mac has begun to shut down about a minute after I launch this app I will try again after the next update This is a fantastic app The developers have really done a great job of implementing the Pomodoro Technique into a format that works great for me The subtle alerts throught the 25 minute sessions are just what is called for to keep you on track Wish I could use it but it is broken Please update and fix         Really good but Zwerlie

Pros Exhaustive feature set Cons Exhaustive feature set a on cumbersome UI Overall While I was initially enthralled with the potential of this app I am now less inclinded to use it because it just seems too encumbered and old If you are considering this app for Pomodoro style workflows my starting question to you might be phrased by analogy Do you really need a power screwdriver that requires you to define its settings for speed torque and driver in painful step by step fashion just to put a screw in a door jam I go back and forth whether I am really doing better in my GTD workflow using Vitamin R2 The extensive set of features in Vitamin R2 are generally acknowledged as the best I can understand why But I don t really use even half of them The template feature only has value in speeding up a work flow when you want to repeat exactly something that you did a very short time ago or when you would want to use a hard wired template none of which fit my needs Is it really that hard to have allowed a user to define his her own template and define the template input menu which itself loads very slowly The breadcrumbs and other pages are worth an entire app in themselves However I really never think during an active Pomodoro session to plan next steps in a project Finally in email correspondences and on the support page I get an impression the developer is hidden behind the equivalent of a marketing person In summary The lastest version is now over a year old The UI is sorely showing its age especially relative to the cleaner look and feel of Yosemite Other Pomodoro apps are moving forward Perhaps you want an app that sets its merits on the ability that it gives you to tweak all aspects of a Pomodoro process Get this app It is the best one for that Otherwise perhaps you want an app that allows you to set up define key parameters for and start a Pomodoro process all in one unobtrusive intuitive input pane Look elsewhere I still am             Is it really all that good for its job DrJJWMac

In order to use Vitamin R 2 effectively you must spend enough time analyzing your tasks that you don t need the app You ve already focused on your tasks without it If you haven t already done that then in my experience the app doesn t help you             An okay app but it makes itself redundant Merooba

I ve been searching for a while and tried multiple apps for a great time and task management application This combines the features I need into one app 1 History and logging of tasks 2 History and logging of productivity 3 Pomodoro timer a Specify focus time b Specify break time c Associate a task with a pomodoro 4 Option to block distracting apps The thing that I don t like is the inability to take a break after completing a I experienced flow time slice I have to continue working on the task either until I finish it or until I am no longer in the flow If I don t finish the task and stop the time slice there will be no record in the logs of me being in the flow                 Buggy But still great app ksmileygirl

Really the best pomodoro app out there Smartly designed with a rich feature set that can be customized to your individual workflow In version 1 of the app it had a tendency to be very unresponsive for me ie 2 second lags before responding In this new version it seems to be very quick If you don t have the lag problem with version 1 I don t think its worth the upgrade though and the steep 30 is the only reason why its not getting a full 5 stars Overall highly recommended                 Very good substantial difference over other apps Ggorsyhewdu

With this version of VITAMIN R seems that hide elimenate distractions is not working in elimenating part it just hide the windows which is not really an elimination of distraction Also it keeps asking to choose the location of my dropbox folder everytime I start it though it says that it will not happen more than once for version 10 7 3 and after I have 10 8 4 and still I have to do it every single time             Good app but needs much of improvemnets ybalnashif
