With the recent update if you use other apps when you switch back to the remote the fast forward or rewind features do not work anymore only pause and play work Also the title of the current video does not show anymore Please fix this I paid for the ad free version Went from great to terrible

I mainly use the app for playing videos on my iPhone so I would like to see full screen options when playing a video on the device and the ability to create folders to organize the files Other than that it seems to work the way Ive come to expect VLC to run beautifully Great app just a little further

I like this app but I cant use it alone I have to use the official VLC app alongside it in order to load media from UPNP Instead of supporting that it requires its own proprietary standalone server to stream media I dont see why that should be necessary UPNP is an open standard and I wish it could find media that way Good but better if it could stream from UPNP

I use this all the time to play movies and TV shows on my computers Mac Linux and Windows You have to enable web interface and open the http lua ports to the world I really like the new feature that puts a check mark next to shows that youve already watched Great

The interface of this application is beyond great Very easy to ff or rewind with the flick system Searches my hard drive with clear menus and also allows to bookmark folders for fast searching of videos Tons better than other paid vlc apps for the iOS Do not let this app pass you by Download Great Vlc Player

I never do app reviews but I feel compelled to do one for this because of how useful and convenient this app is I use a setup where I hook my tv to my computer so I can watch movies and this app is great if I want to sit in bed and control it It would be nice to have a slider for volume and a slider for playback if possible Also it would be nice to have easier playlist control like being able to rearrange the playlist and selecting multiple items for deletion One of my favorite features is the folder navigation capabilities for creating playlists away from the computer Overall this app is incredible great job guys Im going to buy the ad free license just to support the further development of this app Absolutely amazing

Dont bother with other VLC apps because this one is better I downloaded 4 different remotes and this one was by far the best Great App

This has become my go to remote when using VLC because of all the common features that the native VLC players buries Its especially useful when Im watching files from my computer on my TV no need to reach over to my computer to affect the slider switch between files etc Would give it 5 stars except for a bug that exists where the first skip back sometimes takes you back much further than you wanted But aside from that I still dont see another remote that is as featureladen comprehensive convenient intuititively laid out Overall Im a big fan of this particular app Best VLC remote available IMHO Nicely done Enhances VLC experience

Probably the best VLC remote app out there All the features you need in a remote are there the setup is easy and unlike another VLC remote app that I tried you dont need to have an application running on your computer to connect to VLC I especially like being able to skip or rewind 5 30 or 180 seconds with a single button The UI is decent but could use some small improvements to speed up navigation The developer is frequently adding new features and updates so Im sure the app will get better over time Overall I really like the app and have paid for the adfree version to support the developer Great VLC remote

Took a while to set up due to murky instructions Tryign to stream video right not and its not working Useless Great idea Totally useless

Vlc remote is excellent I wanted to stream my library to my iPhone 4s so I downloaded this thing Audio and video track do not sync up and are about 3 seconds apart trying several formats It is basically unusable unless you like hearing sounds 3 seconds before the video catches up Terrible

App no longer works It connects to the VLC host computer like always lets be enjoy now playing for about 5 seconds then crashes every time My playlist file is 35megs but every other remote plays it perfectly All host and network settings are perfect its just this app Was my favorite

I get it you want me to purchase your app but taking 90 of the screen for ads is a little excessive Works well so far only a couple closes 90 ad screen

Ive grown dependent on this Ive tried similar apps but this one has such a natural interface that makes it very easy to navigate a video I love Flick Skip in particular It has become one of the most useful apps on my iPad and iPhone The developers are extremely responsive and helpful Excellent app

I use this in church worship services to control click tracks on a host pc from the stage It was working great for the most part but before long it started frequently losing the connection to VLC But it doesnt even realize its lost the connection and try to correct the problem or anything The app still responds but the commands are delayed for minutes and then the time readout fluctuates wildly Wifi connection is still working perfectly so either its a problem with VLC itself or with this app I havent tried other apps to see if they have the same problem yet Mostly good but

This is by far the BEST VLC app on the market It only gets even more amazing with every release The developer provides excellent customer service and is highly responsive to any suggestions of improvement you may have I HIGHLY recommend this app to everyone And if you feel so inclined support the dev by making the inapp purchase to remove ads I know I have Oh and unlike all the other VLC apps in the market this one does not require a single third party addon to make it work I hope everyone enjoys using the app as I have Amazing Application
