VP Reader

I live in VoodooPad Pro Having the ability to take a copy of my VP docs with me is just too cool Are they small when you first view them Certainly But I think that Flying Meat got it right The pages are just like I have them on the desktop I can see the whole page I have the ability to zoom in on what I want The fact that this app is free when every other company is charging for their iDevice apps is just another perk One feature I would like is a configuration in VP to define what documents to sync and then simply select sync from a menu item and have all of the files refreshed on my iDevice              Ill have mine to go

Im glad I can take my VoodooPad info with me on my iPod It doesnt transfer embedded PDFs though and Ive noticed that links with quotes in them dont work Still its just a free addon for a solid wiki program on my Macs Ill be happy when the developer creates a new iOS version with full functionality for which of course Ill gladly pay Giving a free app called a reader low marks for not being a wiki misses the point              Useful

UPDATE is this app dead No development at all since its release Please add more sync options Id pay OK as a first release but lots of things need improvement if it wants to compete 1 Should auto reformat pages for the iPhonesized screen Fonts that look fine on my laptop are way too small here Very anoying 2 I found that the line spacing can be irregular especially for bullet points Needs fixing 3 The previously viewed page should reopen at startup All my pages are in one master doccument and i have to reselect it every time I open the app 4 Need to add sync via MobileMe or such which the desktop version already does Auto sync on startup would be nice 5 The option to create new pages and edit existing ones even simple editing Im sure will be the most requested feature           Good but needs work

We all have our different needs and the VP Reader is perfect for me I have a big collection that I want to share but dont want anyone else to edit                 exactly what I need

I have all my writing on voodoo pad a total of 15 million words dont ask its nice to be able to glance at my various projects on the go and I can handle not being able to edit them tho that has caused me to move away from My reliance on VDP BUT why doesnt this app remember where I was when I leave it Please Gus give it that much memory           Love VDP but this update made me sad

Cant understand why they would turn an excellent wiki ap into a lame version of Preview You cant addmodify text searching is at best disappointing and the ap has not been optimized for the iPad This isnt quite the TRASH80 experience but it is painfully close     Exactly what it shouldnt be

As a registered user of VoodooPad that uses it daily for note taking and storing a million small pieces of info I have been waiting for this app for a long time My main Voodoopad file had long since grown too large for Georg Kaindls VoodooPhone exportasajavascriptbookmarklet solution and so its really nice to just be able to export to my iPhone and have full access to it in a native nonhacky way and without requiering me to export my notebook files to a public web server From using the reader over the past couple of days it works as described and lets me view and navigate my Voodoopad doc on the iPhone complete with images and in line links and even when Im offline I really have no complaints although as someone whose main notebook has over 500 pages at this point a few extra navigational aids like search and bookmarking individual pages within a doc would be nicetohaves for future releases Still this is a great initial release and is already proving to be super useful for me and adds one more killer feature to Voodoopad note to anyone who is reading this review and is not familiar with VoodooPad on the Mac be aware that as a reader app only on the iPhone its not going to do you much good to download this unless you already have the desktop version                 80 there this app extends the fantasically useful desktop application to the iPhone

I love VoodooPad Pro Just cant live without it Flying Meat has taken time on making sure that the user experience is good The OS X integration is also amazing there are very few application that honored the message construct for creating a link to the mail messages and VoodooPad is one of them WebDAV sync is another great feature I truly think the sotware is under priced Now to VP Reader it is a great start the 3 Stars are because they lack one of the most critical functionality on the iPhone app WebDAV Sync Without the on air sync it severly limits the functionality But it still solves a great need that I can have my data a little old version along with me I would not mind paying another 510 for the iPhone App with WebDAV Sync Update Seems the development is dead on this product Very disappointing           A Great Start

Just sync through wifi and you have lists clipart web addresses notes etc right in front of you anytime you need it The Voodoo Pad was always one of my most used note taking progs and now the VP Reader is one of my most used apps You can even read your comics                 I use this constantly

Ive been wanting this app for a while I have so many little and big facets of my existence documented in Voodoo Pad and absolutely love having offline access to this information on my iPhone wherever I may go The syncing was amazingly quick given how much data I have Ive used it for only a brief time since installing but know this will be a homepage worthy app that I use on a daytoday basis Bravo                 Yay Love it

This app is frustrating to use if you dont do the following Enable wifi then launch the app They didnt include this in the instructions Your iPhone or Touch will not show up unless you do this Despite this I give it 5 stars because it really has made my iPhone a more powerful tool in my daily life VooDooPad is a wiki for the computer I use it to organize my projects my writings and things that I find on the Internet clippings PDFs etc Note not everything is viewable or accessible on the iPhone File formats that the iPhone can not use cant accessed Off site links This app is quick and painless I synced a 100 page document in seconds It included all the images links etc Now if I could make notes and export them to my wiki or a new document that would be superb If you havent tried VooDooPad I recommend it This little app extends the iPhones ability and allows me to have multiple private wikis in the palm of my hand                 Fantastic App but you need VooDoo Pad

Good for what it is a traveling voodoopad reader To second others comments I too would pay for editing capabilities Im sure the developer has something in the works as Ive been happy with the voodoopad update path for years                 Good for what it is

I would pay as much as 5 if it had a search feature without that its about 10 as useful as it could be I just have way to many pages to scroll through a list Otherwise this together with an iphone flashcard program I recommend Mental Case creates the perfect learning environment           IT NEEDS SEARCH click helpful if you agree

This is a very handy app for those who use VoodooPad on their desktop since it provides offline iPhone access to VP docs Syncing is easy and fast                 Great gizmo for VoodooPad users

It is a nice addon to VoodooPad on the Mac allows you to lookup things when youre away from your computer If you remembered to sync that is which I often forget to Syncing with a WebDAV server would be more useful I really hope that some day a full featured VoodooPad for iPhone that will allow editing will be released           Nice addon to VoodooPad Waiting for version that can edit pages

Where is the iPhone 5 support     No iPhone 5 support

All problem exist rich text but for me markdown is really enough                 markdown support is enough

An excellent way to view vpdocs on the iphone Quick to load looks great and very easy to sync documents It syncs my 148 page document in about 15 seconds over the air A great compliment to a great program Thanks Flying Meat                 Ive been waiting for this App
