VZ Contact Transfer

I have used this app to backup my contacts for many years I just got a new phone downloaded this app and it wont work At first the app would close half way through syncing I deleted and redownloaded the app and it says Server Error every time I type in the access code So frustrating     Disappointed

The app doesnt sync your contacts with previous downloads It redownloads all old contacts from every sync you have ever done and duplicates contacts if you have made changes You end up with sometimes 3 or as many as 5 duplicates of your contacts requiring you to review and reconcile each one I use iCloud to back up my current updated list of contacts and used this as a backup Now I have a mess to clean up Find another app or method     Do Not Use

Used this to transfer contacts from droid to iPhone 6                 Did the job

But ever since I upgraded to the iPhone 6 it has stopped working and will shut down mid process And when I attempt to restart it it tells me the server is busy How disappointing        It USED to be great

I like this app it saves your contacts and like saved my life once Somehow all my contacts got deleted out of no where and I was able to get them back from this app                 I like it

Ive been with Verizon for almost six years as this app is for Verizon user specially Matter of fact is important to back up my contact A                 Backup assistant

Transferred all my contacts from a Windows phone to an iPhone instantly Saved a ton of time and effort                 Works for me

After the hassle and failure of the Verizon cloud I downloaded this for my contacts and it worked                 Saved Me

This used to be a fantastic app now its just crap for a lack of better words Every time it backs up it makes duplicates of contacts loads contacts that were deleted years ago and then I spend an hour removing all of this crap Plain and simple FIX THE APP     Horrible

Worked wonderfully In just a few steps I was able to get my contacts from my inactivated droid to my new iPhone Saved me a ton of time and frustration                 Teacher

Doesnt work well at all Not sure if its because I have an older iPhone but this is really glitchy and only sends my online contacts to my phone Wont send the other way and in fact has deleted contacts off my phone because of it Also creates duplicates like other reviewers have said which is insanely annoying Deleting it Not worth the trouble     Lame

My sister told me about this app for easy transfer of my contacts when I upgrade my phone SO EASY TO USE Get it                 SO SIMPLE TO USE

I like this app BUT it would be better if the backup happens in the background Ive had this app on other phone nonApple phones and the app has an autobackup feature like I had it set to about 12AM67AM time frame I hope and wish theyll VZW bring that over to apples iPhones and soon I just dont like that I have to tell the app each time when to do a sync their should be a version for auto syncing I would of given this app a higher star rating if it had any autobackup or autosyncing and background syncing Thanks VZW Also needs ways or saysshow how to do restores aswell           Needs improvements

I have used Verizons cell service for years It has been reliable and excellent across the country Their people are helpful and pleasant However Despite the fact that their web site has been upgraded over the years it continues to lack clear instructions and is hard to follow Ditto this app I want to reset my phone settings and retrieve contacts I entered my phone number step 1 and cant proceed because I havent received a text msg with a confirmation code So I sit I tried to use their cloud app but I can not find instructions for downloading data from the cloud back to my phone Maybe its me but there are a lot of people out there like me who would appreciate clear instructions Can you hear me now     Verizon web apps drive me NUTS

It does exactly what I need it to do Havent had any issues backing up or retrieving                 Great App

I tried for several hours to figure out how to transfer my phone s gave up called Verizon within 15 min 96 s are on my phone                 Cloud

Its saved me when icloud removed my contacts I love it                 Perfection

IPhone 4S Have 348 contacts Synced in about 30 seconds and was done Worked find for me                 Worked fine for me

Ive had no problems with this app and have had it a few months now Just got a new phone and all my contacts synced up perfectly                 No issues

Would be cool if it understood that sometimes people delete contacts and no I dont want those numbers repeatedly force back onto my phone     Eh

When I backed up my contacts it actually restored every contact I had ever had and deleted and returned many contacts to previously changed numbers so now I have everyones old numbers and have no idea what their current numbers are In addition it added all my husbands contacts so instead of backing up my 324 contacts I now have 779 contacts and will spend hours deleting them Ugh     Do not use

It keeps receiving and then gets almost finished and randomly closes Cant get my contacts     FORCE CLOSING

Since the most recent software update anytime I have updated my contacts it has delegated contacts from phone Tried an uninstall and reinstall and now it wont even get past the first step to sync my contacts I have found this app useless Going to try uploading my contacts to the iCloud and see if thats any better     Useless

I work in tech support and this is my goto app when everything else fails                 Reliable

This app has served me well since I had a BB Storm2 Everything migrated just fine to my iPhone 4 and three years later I have not had any of the issues reported in reviews here              Always did its job

Ever since the upgrade of iOS8 this app has not worked correctly PLEASE fix this application ASAP     Cannot connect with server

I have the issue of it duplicating contacts as well none deleted though so therefore Im not going to give it a full 5star rating however it does what it says it does by backing up your contacts iPhone 5 was unable to backup to computer without having the be restored so I just gave up and started anew with my iPhone 6 and this saved ALL of my contacts all 1600 of them Lifesaver              Worth it for What It Does

I downloaded this app cause I remember on my iPhone 4s it worked great On the 5s it was horrible it tripled my contacts I called verizon they never got back to me I personally had to go and delete 900 contacts No help from Verizon Il just delete it     No good as is

The program closes when performing step 3     Not working anymore

My contact list quadrupled when I backed up my phone I have so many duplicates in my contact list now Pretty aggravating     Duplicated contacts x4

Tried this thinking it would be good to have a backup First time I went from having 674 contacts to 1532 after syncing After the tedious process of getting my address book cleaned up and right where I wanted it I thought Id try it one more time I then went from 674 to 299 contacts I just lost half of my peoples Guess what I have no other backup What a mess It did exactly the opposite of what it was supposed to So frustrated     Horrible Duplicated some deleted others

What a life saver Had lost all my contacts for some unknown reason This was my last resort to restore them I was so HAPPY it worked And it worked really fast Awesome                 Amazing

This app is not working for the iPhone 6 I keep getting server error message Ive tried deleting the app and reinstalling and nothing helps It does not make the connection     Server error

The app begins to load my contacts and then the entire app shuts down every time before returning any of my contacts to my phone Its unbelievable I was recommended this app by the Verizon rep who sold me my phone and now I have no access to the back up that was suppose to be my fail safe I have important contacts I HAVE to get access to This app is the ultimate disappointment Im shocked that a company the size of Verizon would allow this app to function so poorly for so long                 It does NOT work properly

Review 2 after retrying a year later NEVER ever use this app Huge waste of my personal time I really really dislike it in every way Review 1 I ran this app to sync my contacts should be an assurance and time saver if something went wrong It downloaded 700 duplicate contacts Now Im spending the rest of my day cleaning out this mess Not cool huge waste of valuable time 1     Duplicated all contacts big waste of my time

Tried this app and always said cannot connect to server Guess Ill have to back up by connecting with the wire and home computer     Does not work

I had to do a factory reset on my phone needed more GB to update my software and I downloaded this app before I did the reset my iphone 5 and I did the back up and it saved all my contacts Works Great dont listen to the viewers I almost did                 Backup Assistant WORKS GREAT

App worked great to transfer my contacts from my Verizon iPhone 3 to 4s a year ago Recently I noticed the app and thought Why not back my new contacts and backed up It seemed to get stuck and took a VERY long time but finally finished which was good because my attempts to stop it didnt work Great or so I thought A couple days later I went to look for a contact and I found probably HUNDREDS of contacts many duplicated 48 times THAT WERENT MINE I am in CA and the contacts were mostly from New Jersey and appear to be someone in law enforcement Its been two weeks and I am still removing them but by bit Not happy Im deleting the app     Who Are These People

When I first got my iPhone5 this worked well each week For at least six months it goes through the long list of contacts Sending x of y contacts and seemingly gets to the end Then it sit on the y of y message as if it was complete then times out with a Server Error The internet connectivity is good but the app isnt     This has become useless

This app works fine and works as designed However it could be awesome if you could automate it to run automatically The schedule is only a reminder We need automation           Good but can be great

It is good for users who 1 Do not organize photos into folders 2 do not sync folders of photos from a PC to their phone and 3 do not already keep their contacts in a cloud solution like Gmail outlook or yahoo The terrible design points of this app that caused me to delete it are 1 It will not autobackup even if you set it at 1am every night for auto backup Instead it will ask you each night at 1am even on wifi for permission to back up Which means that nothing is being backed up This is really bad it misleads users to think they are backed up when in fact it isnt doing it 2 All folder organization of synced photos are lost and it just keeps all photos in one big folder Why this is a problem if you need to restore then you have lost all grouping organization of your photos 3 It cannot backup just the photo roll For those that sync photo folders from their pc we only want the photo roll backed up If there is a phone restore it is the daily addition of photo roll photos that matters This one could easily be powerful but instead it is far too basic     Waste of time for advanced users
